        "I got sunshineee, on a cloudy day. And when its cold outsideee, I got the month of may." Ahmad sung to Cali as they painted Armoni's room together.

Sitting the paint brush down, he walked over wrapping his arms around her waist singing the words into her ear. "Well I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way? My girl. Talking bout my girl, my girl."

Rocking to the beat of the song, Cali sung the next verse. "I've got sooo much honey, the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees. Well I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way? My man, talking bout my man, my man." Kissing his lips, she smiled.

Today was going to be a lazy day for them, Armoni's arrival to the world was coming soon. She could literally come at any given moment so Ahmad took off for work letting Dave, Marcus ans Hazel run it so he could be there when she needed him.

But today the shop was closed due to it being sprayed down to kill any rodents or bugs.

But far as Cali and Ahmad, they had everything they needed down to the baby bag, their hospital bag, and other items they would need when the time comes. They prepped all this stuff the day after her baby shower because they wanted to be ready for when she came.

Ashley and Aaron were just waiting on that call, excited for their first grandbaby to arrive. Cali by now was huge, her sleeping was becoming more uncomfortable even sleeping on her side wasn't helping her.

Ahmad hated it for her, he would massage her back and do whatever to try and help but nothing worked.

As they continued listening to old school love song classics, they ended up finishing her whole room. So now all they needed to do was add the crib, the baby changing table and whatever else they brought. "This is turning out good, but are you gonna get someone to help you bring the crib and stuff up here?" Cali asked and he nodded taking pictures of the room.

"I was gon' call Marcus and Twan to come over to help." He explained while texting away on his phone. "Who are you texting? Your phone has been going off all morning."

Looking up he shook his head no then slipped it in his pocket, "Nobody, but I gotta go. I'll be right back, you need anything?"

"Um no, I can't come with you?" She asked following him out the room into their room.

"I'm not even gonna be gone an hour babe, thirty minutes tops." He told her, changing clothes.

When his phone vibrated on the dresser, she went to grab it but Ahmad damn near sprinted across the room to get it before she could. Grabbing his phone, he read the text that whoever sent him then slid it in his pocket.

Cali eyed him wondering what was going on, since he was acting mad supicious but decided not to even trip because she knew Ahmad wasn't stupid enough to do anything that could jeopardize what they have built so far.

"Alright, I'm gone baby."

Walking towards him, she kissed his lips then slipped her tongue in his mouth as she held her hand on the back of his neck letting him know this is what he has at home, and if he was about to walk out that door and do something stupid she wanted him to think twice.

Pulling away, she smiled then walked passed him leaving him their stuck and bothered. He hated and loved when she did that shit. Shaking his head with a smile, he grabbed his keys off the nightstand then walked downstairs to see Cali just now making it to the end of the steps. "Pregnant ass," He joked. Flicking him off she walked into the living taking a seat.

"You just make sure you're back by five so we can go pick up Marquette from Reggie's house."

"I'll be back way before that, its only ten in the morning but alright I love you."

"I love you more," She called out as he left out of the door.

Rubbing her belly, she sighed. "Guess its just me and you Armoni. Don't know where your pinhead ass daddy is going or where your ghost ass uncle is. They like leaving me all alone." Feeling a kick, she winced in pain. "Okay okay, my bad for talking about your daddy and uncle." She mumbled already bored that she was home alone.

Deciding to take a nap, she stretched out on the laying on her side then got comfortable and like a light she was out.

        Feeling small taps on her arm, she slowly opened her eyes to see Marquette in her face smiling. "Wake up mama,"

Sitting up, she yawned. "Where's your daddy?"

"In kitchen, he say get dressed." Running off, she chuckled lightly slowly getting up. Walking into the kitchen she saw Ahmad sitting at the bar drinking a gatorade.

"What time is it?"

"12:21,"

She frowned, "I didn't even hear you come in,"

He nodded, "Yeah when I came back home, you was knocked out. I would've carried you up the stairs but then I realized I couldn't carry your pregnant ass up the stairs." He laughed throwing his hands up in defense when she hit him.

"Asshole, but what I gotta get dressed for? And why is Marquette here? I thought we was picking him up at five today."

"Girl just go get dressed, ass always complaining about being home and now I'm tryna take you somewhere and yo ass questioning it. And Reggie called me and said he got called into work so I went and got him."

"You don't have to be rude about it, I just asked a questioned and okay." She mumbled shoving his shoulder.

Smacking her butt when she walked off, he got back on his phone to continue playing candy crush until Marquette wanted to play so he ended up watching him play the game instead.

When Cali was finally ready, he shook his head since it took her forever. "Let's roll," Walking out of the house, Ahmad locked up then helped Cali get in the car then buckled in Marquette in his car seat.

Getting in his seat, he cranked the car up then backed out of the driveway turning the radio on that was playing Motor Sport by Migos. "I turn Ahmad on, I told him the other day maybe we should sell that porn." Cali rapped laughing.

Ahmad playfully rolled his eyes, getting on highway 610 hoping it wasn't no traffic since he just wanted to get to where they needed to go and back.

After driving for about thirty minutes or so, they approached a neighborhood but it wasn't alot of houses. It kinda gave off country vibes since the houses were spaced out.

Pulling up to an area that was just land, Ahmad turned off his car then got out with Cali and helped Marquette get out. "So whatchu think?" He asked looking at Cali who looked around the land.

"I like it but how much is this gonna cost us?"

"$16,000 for six acres," She nodded grabbing Marquette's hand, walking the land liking how much space they had. It was more than enough room to build their house and she liked how it was sorta in the country.

"I like this, I think we should be looking into it and start working on getting it." She told him and he smiled.

"Well I actually already paid for it. I used some of the settlement money to buy it since the owner of the land said a few other people wanted it and I really wanted this for us so this is now our land."

Cali smiled walking over to hug him. "You did good, this is perfect." Kissing her forehead, she closed her eyes as she felt pressure build up in the lower part of her stomach.

"You alright?" Ahmad asked, noticing her change in body language.

She nodded, "I guess Armoni likes this land too cause she has having a ball in my belly right now." She groaned.

"You want to leave and go back home? Or stay and tour the land?"

"I'm fine baby, we can stay."

Looking at her for a moment, he shrugged then grabbed her hand showing everything. "I was thinking we build our house here, have a long cement drive way that leads into the road. We got enough room for a pool in the back too and a big deck." He told her and she nodded trying to concentrate but the pressure she was feeling made her bend over and hold her stomach.

"Babe, you sure you alright?"

"Yes, Armoni is just laying on my bladder. Fuck, I have to pee." She mumbled and right when she went to walk a liquid substance came gushing out between her legs as she stood there frozen trying to process what just happened.

"Damn Cali, yo ass couldn't wait til we stopped somewhere. Peed on my fucking Jordans." Ahmad groaned.

"No dipshit, my fucking water broke and I need a fucking towel or something to catch the rest thats dripping." She snapped.

Ahmad stood their frozen when he heard the words "water and broke," feeling a slap to the arm, he blinked coming back to reality.

"Fuck, damn .. are you in any pain? Come on lets get you to the car." His heart was beating a mile a minute as he held her hand and walked her to the car.

"I'm not feeling any pain, I just need to get to a hospital to get out of these clothes. Do you have anything I can use to put between my legs so I won't wet up your seat?"

Reaching in his backseat, he grabbed one of his jackets handing it to her then buckled up Marquette. After shutting his door, he had to pause to take a breather so he could process what was going on.

"I'm finna be a daddy," He whispered breathing heavily. Opening up the driver side door, he got in with shaky hands growing nervous.

Cali looked over grabbing his hand, "Relax babe,"

Nodding his head, he pulled out onto the road. "Call my mama and daddy and tell them we headed to the hospital and see if they can stop by the house and get our hospital bags." He told her and she nodded pulling out her phone.

His mind was racing as a million things ran through it, his baby girl was on the way and the feeling he was feeling was something he couldn't even explain. Kissing the back of Cali's hand, he looked over at her letting a few tears fall.

This was the moment he has been waiting for, now he was just ready and anxious to welcome his baby girl into the world.

        Yawning and rubbing at his eyes, Chris looked around the room before landing his eyes on her who laid beside him knocked out. Getting out of the bed quietly not to wake her, he walked into her bathroom going to the sink grabbing the toothbrush he leaves over at her place.

Brushing his teeth and washing his face, he soon felt arms snake around his torso from behind and felt light kisses down his back. "Good morning," She yawned.

Spitting his tooth paste out his mouth, he smiled. "Good morning,"

Stepping from behind him, she grabbed her tooth brush wetting it before applying the toothpaste. Kissing her lips, he left out of the bathroom leaving her to finish her daily hygiene routine.

Walking to the front of the house he went into the kitchen to see what she had to cook for breakfast since he was starving.

Seeing she had eggs, and bacon. He looked in the bottom drawer of the fridge and saw she had tortillas, so he decided to make breakfast burritos. Grabbing everything he needed, he sat it on the counter then walked over to the sink to wash his hands.

Coming from the back Anari smiled loving when he stayed the night and cooked whenever they finally woke up.

Grabbing a bowl from the cabinet she started to crack the eggs while he cut the bacon open to fry it. "You got any potatoes?" He asked and she nodded pointing to the freezer.

"It's a bag of chopped up season potatoes in the back." Getting bag he sat em on the counter to let them thaw out a little then went back to frying the bacon.

"Soo about last night.." She started causing him to smirk.

He knew she would have wanted to talk about it since last night was their first time in three months having sex. Over the past three months the two have just been getting to know each other by going on dates when one isn't working and last night the two shared a very intimate night letting out their emotions which let Chris know that what they had going on was getting serious.

Turning the burner down, he looked over at her. "What's up?"

"I just want to know like since we you know .. had sex, what does that make us?"

"Well I mean its pretty clear I have feelings for you, so its whatever you want to do cause I'm all for it. I told you when we first started hanging out .. that I was looking for someone to marry, to grow with not just that boyfriend and girlfriend then break up shit .. so if you think you're willing to do that then let me know." He stated simply.

Anari nodded understanding his point, when he told her his story about being in jail and how he missed so many years of his life behind bars she understood why he would be looking for a wife now, instead of wasting his time on different females but she felt the same way.

She had her share of no good men and Chris was amazing, and sweet and he never once judged her from anything she has opened up to him about which was rare especially since her life has always been hard but that was one thing her and Chris shared. They both had rough up bringings then had to do things they normally wouldn't do to survive for instance Chris sold drugs to make ends meet and Anari became a stripper which she currently is still doing but her plan is to leave once she reaches her money savings goal.

Not too many men supported what Anari did to make money, but Chris respected it. She respected herself and had morals for herself, the job at Rump Shakers was just fast and easy money for her and that's how she always looked at the job.

Plus with her being only being twenty-three she knew it was something that she didn't want to make a career out of, she wanted more than that and so did Chris which is why they both felt they were perfect for each other and got along so well.

"I'm willing to be that for you," She answered honestly.

"Then alright now you know what we are and what this is." He replied.

She smiled, "I wish my nana could have gotten the chance to meet you. Everyday she would like pray I met a man like you to sweep me off my feet and love me for me." She stated as she thought back on memories of her and her grandma.

Anari and her grandma were like bestfriends since she was the only person Anari had since her parents literally wanted nothing to do with her. Right after she was born, they dropped her off at her nana's and she never saw them or heard from them again.

And when her nana got sick and couldn't work anymore, Anari had to grow up and make money for her and her nana to survive. Her nana of course hated she had to go out and make money for the both of them but she knew it was literally nothing else they could do since the government disability check they were sending her wasn't enough for medical expenses and bills.

So when Anari's nana passed, she felt she had no one left to genuinely love and care for her but that was until she met Chris.

The day she walked into the salon looking to set up an appointment with Cali he was there and instantly the two just felt something there between each other. He didn't get her number until like the fourth time she came by the shop, and since then the two have formed a close bond between one another.

"I'm sure your nana was an amazing woman especially since she raised someone such as yourself." He complimented before leaving out the kitchen to go grab his ringing phone.

Seeing that it was Cali, he slid the bar over then held it up to his ear. "Hello?"

"Chris, my water broke. Bring your black ass down to Houston Methodist." And with that she hung up.

"Shit," Walking over to the other side of the bed, he grabbed his clothes putting them on, grabbed his wallet and  car keys then headed out of the bedroom.

Anari frowned when she saw he was fully dressed, "You leaving?"

"Cali water just broke, I gotta get down to the hospital. I missed my nephew's birth. I ain't missing this one." He told her and she nodded understanding.

Walking over she kissed his lips then sent him off as he jogged to his car cranked it up then pulled out of her driveway.

He smiled widely ready to see his little niece enter the world. He was going to be there for Cali every step of the way not missing a thing, since he already missed so much of her life.

Alisha moaned loudly burying her face into the sheets on the bed as Shaun thrusted in and out of her from the back. Since had arrived the two had been inseparable, everybody had a week off before the week before the show so Alisha took advantage of that time and spent it with her man who pleased her every chance he got.

Gripping the back of her neck with his right hand, he held her waist with his left giving her long deep strokes that was making her legs and knees weak.

They had music playing to muffle out the sound of her moans since Alisha could get loud, the main that could be heard if someone were to walk by would be the clapping of her ass hitting against his thighs.

Wanting to gain control, Alisha looked back then started to throw it back on him. He bit his lip matching her motions as he groaned loving this view of her.

The sound of her phone alerted the both of them but they ignored as they continued doing what they were doing. It was after the third time the person called that made Alisha see what was up. Shaun slid out of her and watched as she weakly grabbed her phone off the night stand.

"It's Cali, hold on a second babe." She told him and he nodded leaving out the room into the bathroom.

Calling her back on facetime, Alisha made sure she was presentable before she was met with Cali who was laying in the hospital bed frowning. "Why you didn't answer when I called the first three times?"

Alisha blushed, "Because I was getting my back blown out and you interrupted but why are you in the hospital? What's wrong?"

"Armoni little ass decided to come today, my water broke earlier around noon."

"See me and Armoni already finna fight, I told that girl to wait until I got back from Paris to be born and what does she do? Comes two weeks early."

Cali laughed, "Girl shut up,"

"I'm serious but how are you feeling right now? Any pain yet?"

She shook her head no, "Not yet, but I know its coming. Ahmad treating me like I'm cripple though."

Alisha smiled, "It's his first child, he's nervous of course he's going to be extra."

Cali nodded, "Yeah I know, I wish you were here man. I miss my bestfriend." Cali pouted.

"I miss you too, two weeks and I'm back."

"Can't wait but girl tell me all about it, we barely been able to talk since you been gone."

"It's been an amazing experience man, Peter really helped me get out there. He's a naturally sweet man, and very humble especially for someone as known and popular as him it was shocking. I also found out he was into men, I mean I have to admit, Peter is a very good looking man and I don't mean to come off bad but I did not think he went that way. It shocked me."

"He is good looking, but hey love is love .. at least now Shaun has nothing to worry about."

"Girl Shaun had no reason to be worried, I know where my heart is and its with him and him only. But your girl is also going to be featured in Vogue and my models are going to be on the cover of the magazine wearing my designs."

Cali squealed as she started milly rocking, "That's great Alisha, you deserve that and so much more babe. I wish I could be there to see all your hard work pay off at the show."

"I'm getting the footage from the camera guys so I can have a copy of it all, but thanks Cal."

"Good, soon as you land back here in Houston run your ass to my house."

Alisha smiled, then looked back to see Shaun coming out the bathroom on the phone as well. "You already know I will, I brought a few things for niece and nephew too."

Cali went to reply but stopped when she saw Ahmad eating her cup of ice. "Give me my shit nigga, this is the only thing I can eat right now." She snapped hitting his arm.

Taking another ice chip out he put it in his mouth then handed her back the cup laughing childishly. "I'm about to choke this nigga," She huffed.

"Girl stop, you love that nigga."

Cali blushed, "I do, I really do. But how is bae life for you?"

"Bae life is good, we been fucking like animals though."

Cali rolled her eyes, "I wish I could say the same."

"Six weeks boo and soon as those six weeks are over .. I'll watch Armoni and Marquette for you so you two can get that alone time."

"See real friends help other friends get dick, that's why I love you man." Cali joked.

"I can't stand you, but I love you too."

"Good but I'm finna get as much sleep as I can since I know its going to be a long night. I just wanted to call and inform you about Armoni. I'll send hella pics of her to your phone."

"Okay baby, I love you and have Ahmad call me on facetime when you're pushing. I don't care if I'm miles away, Auntie Lisha ain't missing no birth."

"I will, talk to you later."

Hanging up the phone, Alisha smiled. It was a bittersweet moment for her. She was happy she was in Paris with her man, working and doing everything she loved as she moved up the success path but she also hated she wasn't there for Cali when Cali was always there for her.

She knew Cali understood but she really wanted to be there to share that moment with her, but she had it already planned on what she going to do to make it up to her.

Now all she was going to do was wait for that call to let her know Armoni was coming and that she was born healthy and strong.
