Stevie stared at Lindsey in shock; her features then softened and she smiled wide. "Yes Lindsey. I'll marry you."

Lindsey smiled back; he leaned over carefully as not to squish Emmaline and he kissed Stevie's lips.

In that moment, Lindsey felt as if everything was finally falling into place.

*Three weeks later*

Stevie followed the doctors orders and stayed on bedrest. Lindsey had stepped up and took care of both Emmaline and Stevie. Karen would take over when Lindsey had Will, Leelee and Stella over for his weekends at his apartment.

Also, the next day after he asked Stevie to marry him, Lindsey went out and bought the perfect engagement ring. Stevie now wore it on her left hand.

Stevie was now in her tenth week of pregnancy. She had an appointment for a check up on herself and the baby. Before her appointment, she and Lindsey were taking Emmaline for her own doctors appointment.

After talking it over, Stevie and Lindsey decided to get Emmaline some hearing aids. Lindsey had taken Emmaline to a doctor's appointment a week ago and they discovered that Emmaline regained some hearing.

It wasn't much but the doctor was confident that with the help of hearing aids, Emmaline would have a much better chance of living in the world of the hearing. However, Emmaline would always need sign language to communicate and her hearing aids.
So, they were taking her so they could make some ear molds of Emmaline's ears so her hearing aids would be the perfect fit.

Julian was confident that with the help of speech therapy, Emmaline would be able to speak. And also, she was confident that Emmaline would learn how to read lips.
Of course, they would have to take this one step at a time.

Also, in the three weeks, Lindsey began is own lessons of learning ASL. Julian would work with Lindsey one on one because he wanted to surprise Stevie and Emmaline.

Stevie had taught him the basics and she was proud that he was willing to learn how to communicate with their daughter.

After a quick shower, Stevie now stood in front her floor length mirror in the bathroom. She was in her bra and underwear with her robe hanging open.

Stevie turned to the side and smiled; unlike her pregnancy with Emmaline, it was obvious now that she was pregnant by the small bump that had begun to form. Stevie ran her hand gently over her small bump.

With this pregnancy, Stevie was able to experience pregnancy; with Emmaline she didn't even know.

The down side of being pregnant was the morning sickness that had started a week after finding out she was pregnant. Stevie hated it but knew that if she was having morning sickness then the baby was healthy.

After a moment, Stevie pulled her robe close then walked out of the bathroom and into her closet. She dressed in her usual black loose fitting blouse, black leggings and some black flats. She then did her hair and put on a bit of makeup.

When she was done, she walked out of her bedroom and walked over to Emmaline's nursery where she found Lindsey and Emmaline sitting on the floor.

Her eyes filled with tears when she saw the scene in front of her; Lindsey was actually signing and talking to Emmaline and Emmaline understood Lindsey too.

"I love you so much Emmaline. Daddy loves you." Lindsey said while he signed. "I've been working really hard learning to sign for you. I'm sorry baby girl that...that I didn't want to learn. I was stubborn and I didn't want to face the truth."

Of course Emmaline didn't understand most of the signs being signed by Lindsey but she did pick up the ones she did know.

Emmaline smiled and giggled; she signed back daddy and I love you.

Lindsey chuckled then signed and said seriously. "You are perfect Emmaline. Again, I'm so sorry for thinking otherwise."

Emmaline crawled to Lindsey and lifted arms so Lindsey could pick her up. Lindsey took her in his arms and sat her on his lap. He kissed one of her chubby cheeks and lifted his eyes as he finally sensed Stevie standing in the doorway.

Lindsey stood up with Emmaline in his arms and walked over to Stevie. He brought her close and kissed her lips. When they pulled away, Stevie said. "You learned to sign."
Lindsey smiled down at her and said. "I did. I've been working hard to learn ASL. I wanted to surprise you and Emma. Surprise!"
Stevie chuckled and smiled through her tears. "It's the best surprise. I'm so proud of you Linds." She said. "I love you."
"I love you too." Lindsey replied and kissed her lips once again.

Emmaline interrupted them by patting Lindsey's cheek. He looked at and Emmaline signed mommy with a disapproving look.

"Oh! Someone's jealous. I know she's your mommy, but I love her too." Lindsey said with a chuckle.
Emmaline reached for Stevie and Stevie took her into her arms. She then placed a kiss on Emmaline's cheek.
"Careful Steph, maybe I should carry Emmaline to the car." Lindsey said worriedly.
"I'm okay. I haven't been able to carry my baby properly for a while. This feels nice." Stevie said. "You can carry her when we get the hospital."
Lindsey sighed then nodded. "Okay, let's go."

Once at Emmaline's appointment, Stevie held her while they did the ear molds of her ears.
Emmaline didn't like it one bit but she held still cuddled up in her mother's arms.

After, the Emmaline's doctor told them that the hearing aids would be ready in two weeks.

Now Stevie and Lindsey sat in the examination room waiting for Stevie's doctor to come in. Emmaline had fallen asleep in her stroller while waiting.

Finally, Stevie's doctor came in and greeted them then began the examination. The doctor checked Stevie first wanting to make sure she wasn't dilated or have anything else wrong with her.

The doctor took off his gloves then washed his hands and said. "Well Ms. Nicks, everything looks great. You are not dilated. Now, we can see how the baby is doing and we can go from there."

Lindsey was relieved and now waited anxiously to see his and Stevie's baby on the screen.

Lindsey held Stevie's hand as the doctor glided the transducer around Stevie's belly.
Stevie had happy tears in her eyes and a smile on her face as she saw her baby moving around on screen. Then the best sound in the world filled the room and Stevie's tears continued and so were Lindsey's.

The doctor finished up then gave Stevie some napkins to wipe of the gel from her belly. Stevie cleaned herself up then pulled down her blouse then Lindsey helped her sit up.

The doctor smiled and said. "You and the baby are doing great. The bedrest helped and now, you can return to some of your daily activities. Of course, still don't over do it and keep stress out of your life. I know that's not realistic but if you can keep your stress level low. If you feel any cramping or anything else that doesn't feel right, please come right back. Other than that, you're free to go and I'll see you both in two weeks."

Stevie relaxed as she heard what the doctor said; she was so worried about her baby. She smiled and said. "Thank you so much!"

After grabbing the ultrasound photos, Stevie and Lindsey got back to Lindsey's car. Lindsey lifted Emmaline from her stroller and put her in her car seat then buckled her up. He then folded the stroller and placed it in the trunk.

Stevie waited in the passenger seat and stared in awe at the ultrasound photo of her growing baby; one hand never leaving her small bump.

Lindsey got into the drivers seat then turned on the car and asked. "Would you like to go eat lunch somewhere before we head home?"
Stevie nodded and replied. "That's sound wonderful. I'm starving." She chuckled. "This little one didn't let me keep down my breakfast. I'm hoping he or she would let me keep my lunch."
Lindsey laughed then placed a hand over her belly and said. "I still can't believe this is happening. We are having another baby. Who would've thought?"
Stevie smiled and leaned in to kiss Lindsey's lips. She then pulled away and said. "I can't believe it either, but then I look Emmaline then I look down at my belly and I remember, this is very much reality."
"It sure is." Lindsey said as he rubbed her bump. "Now, let's get my girls fed."
