✨????4????✨
Kitrina's POV.
I drive into the parking lot of the school, parking while tuning out Derby's rambling. I look out the window, seeing Lincoln waiting at the doors to the school, holding his messenger bag on his side, nervous around the students who pass by him while a certain blonde talks to him.
"Derb, who's the girl right there?" I point to the blonde and Derby holds his head right against mine to see exactly where I'm looking.
"That's Ivy, Adam's older sister, remember?" He tells me.
"That's Vine?" I ask him confused. He nods and I rush out of my black Jeep and hurry to Lincoln who now smiles softly. "VyVy!"
"Ina?" She asks, not turning around as I hug her tightly from behind. "Ina!" She cheers, ripping my arms off her so she can turn around and hug me. "I missed you, Ina!!!"
"I missed you too!" I tell her excitedly, holding her back and placing my hands in her face, looking at how she's changed.
"Uhhh..." I hear three people say from beside us. I look to see Echo, Lincoln and Slab look at us confused as Derby and Adam look at us with smiles.
"Just like how Derby and I are best friends, our sisters are best friends too." Adam explains smartly.
"Dweeb." Ivy says smugly, before placing her hands on my face like I did to her. "You haven't changed! Your eyes are a little darker than what I remember though. Other than that, you look like the same, beautiful girl I am BFF's with! Ooooh! We should go shopping!"
"Ivy!" I call her name to stop her rambling. "I can't right now, you have classes to get to, and I have students to teach."
"Wait, you're our new art teacher?" Her face breaks out into a smile as I nod. "Yaysees! I can't wait to be in Art class now!" She cheers, she was absent in school for yesterday due to family issues.
"Yeah. Let's get inside." I link arms with her before turning my head. "You coming, Lincoln?"
"Uh- no, go on and... Catch up with your friend. I'll head to class and prepare for our first class later." He smiles softly.
"Okay. Bye guys." I wave, Ivy leading me away and down the halls to her locker. "How've you been? Hows your mom?"
"I've been lonely since you left." She pouts playfully. "Mom missed you too, but what about you? Are you dating that cutie? He's a little on the shy side though, but as long as your happy."
"I've been good, missed my bestie and brother. And Lincoln? No, he's just the teacher aid Tater assigned to my class." I tell her, leaning against the closed lockers next to her now open one.
"Oh, that's too bad, I think you'd make a cute couple. I think he likes you." She says seriously before applying makeup on her face.
"Yeah, I don't think it'd be a good idea to date him. I think it'd be awkward if we broke up, and had to see each other in class."
"Oh, come on. You have to think he's cute, or you're blind. Wait, you didn't go blind, right?" She asks, panicking a bit.
"Ivy, Ivy! I'm not blind." I reassure her, holding her arms.
"Thank goodness. Oh, I have your class for third and fourth. Convenient huh?" She chuckles, wrapping me in a hug.
"Third and fourth?" I ask her.
"Well, only third. Fourth I have free, but I'll come hang with you." She cheers happily. "Do you have a free period then? Or I could help you or something. Oh! If you have it free we can go shopping!"
"Ivy, I have it free for today. But I don't think shoppings my... Expertise." I tell her softly, not trying to hurt her feelings.
"Hi Hutch!" She waves excitedly behind me. I look and see a cute boy nod back at her. "That's Hutch, don't you think he's cute?"
"He is, but I'm not looking for anyone right now, Ivy." I tell her, facing her again. I think back to before I moved back here and how I dated a boy for a couple months before he broke my heart.
"Oh yeah..." She mutters softly. "I forgot about that boy you told me about, I'm sorry." She winces softly. "Maybe we should go to class."
"Yeah, bye Ivy." I hug her again before heading to my classroom.
Last class of the day.
I sigh happily as I think of what my brothers and I plan on doing after school today. We planned on going out and doing a whole lot of pranking and just messing around town. What I didn't plan on though, was hearing an explosion coming from Mr. Young's classroom.
"Go ahead and head home, Lincoln. I'll check what's happened." I tell him, seeing as he has his messenger bag ready to go on his shoulders.
"That's alright, Kitrina. I'll go with you to see what Mr. Young did." Lincoln smiles softly, holding the door open for me. We walk to Adam's class and walk in to find Derby, Adam and Echo huddled around a paper mâché volcano. I sigh, putting my bag on the table.
"What did my brother do this time?" I ask them, crossing my arms as they slowly turned to us.
"How're you so sure it was me?" Derby asks in disbelief. "Cause it was totally all my fault." Derby says with a smile. "Wait– I totally meant to say that!" He looks around at us weirdly. "I can't lie!"
"Sure you can, you lied to Nathan about his favourite cereal being eaten by a raccoon that got in the house, when really it was you." I tell him with a shrug.
"You said we'd keep that a secret!" He gasps loudly and points accusedly at me. "And what about that time with–"
"We don't speak of that!" Me and Adam both yell angrily. He was about to bring up the time we had an awkward, unusual sleepover before with Adam when he still went to school with Derby.
"What's happening?" Mr. Tater asks as he walks in with a yellow hasmat suit on. I think I missed something here...
Timeskip.
Turns out Derby messed with the volcano model and caused it to emit 'truth gas', and now Ivy is stuck here with us and Derby is working on a prank on Slab, who sleeps at his spot in the back.
