Mae's P. O. V

    I, my brothers and friends(including Christine) were eating in the cafeteria.

    "I really enjoyed that party. Thanks, I missed kicking some ass", Christine thanks me for the eighteenth (18th) time this week.

    " Stop thanking me will you?",I said to her.

    "How did you cast those spells, do Demonites cast spells as well?", Christine whispered to me. I looked around to check if anyone heard what Christine just said but they didn't, they were in a world of their own and I felt relieved.

   "Yes", I lied. I might have told her I am a Demonite but I won't tell her I am half witch half Demonite.

    " That's cool",she smiled.

   "Now would yo-", I was interrupted when I heard a guy shout, when I looked it was Nathan.

   " Kathlyn,get off me. What the hell do you want? Don't you get it,leave me alone. I am not in the freaking mood for your bullshit, don't you get it",Nathan shouted.

   What's his problem? Can't the poor girl be respected by you? Why can't he respect girls, must he treat girls anyhow?.

   I heard his friend telling him"to chill" but he pushed him. Then I saw one of his friends whispering something to him and they both stood up. I was looking at him but when I saw him looking at me, I looked away.

    Then Avery whispered into my ears saying,"Hey babe, looks like Kath just humiliated herself" and I smiled.

"Mae, I still can't believe you can cast spells", Christine said to me after we were done with biology.

  " Yes, I can but can this be between both of us,please?",I asked politely.

  "Yea sure", she said.

I stood up from my sit and was almost approaching the door with Christine before my biology teacher called me back.

" Hey Mae. Can you please come? ",Mr Charles our biology teacher said.

" Yea sure",I said as I left Christine and went to meet Mr Charles.

   "Yeah,you called me", I said as I stood in front of him.

    " You will be tutoring our new kid",he said.

  "New kid? We don't have a new student or do we?", I asked.

   " Yes we do. Nathan John,he just transferred to our class and he has dropped this past few weeks",he said.

  "I can't tutor him, anybody but him please", I begged but he ignored.

  " Hey Nathan. Come over here",he called him.

    "Yeap", Nathan said as he stood beside me.

    "Miss Mc Callister will be tutoring you as from tomorrow.", he told Nathan

  " What?"he asked.

  "You heard me pretty well", Mr Charles said.

  " You have not been doing well this past few weeks ",he ended.

" Past few weeks? Wasn't it last week my grades dropped? so why are you saying I haven't been doing well this past few weeks ",he asked angrily.

   " You used to be our best student but now you are not. So I am helping you to get back on track",Mr Charles said.

  "What about me? You ain't helping me. I and Nathan can't stand each other and you want me to tutor him, its not happening", I said and was about walking out on Nathan and Mr Charles before he said," Walk out on me and you will have a month of detention and will still tutor Nathan". I stopped after he threatened me.

   "You know why my grades dropped, give me sometime and I will get back on track, I will be the best student in this school again", Nathan promised.

   I scoffed," You wish".

   "I am more intelligent just in case you do not know", he said.

  " you wish",I said.

   "Okay then, let's ask him should we?(turning to Mr Charles he asked) who are the top 10 best student in our class?", he asked.

  " Nathan, Milana, Christine, Andrew, Mae, Renata, Frank, Isaac, Jacob and Ryder ", he stated.

   "You are even the fifth and I thought you will be either third or so", he grins. I hate this guy.

   " What of this class?",I asked.

   "Okay, I will just mention the top four. Nathan, Christine ,Mae, Jackson", he said lifting his bag from his desk.

   " And how many are we in the whole of sophomore? ",Nathan asked.

    " Well, 70 I think",Mr Charles said and left.

   "Why did he choose me then?", I asked no one in particular.

   " Well, because Christine hates me for some reasons I care not about, Mil hates my sight which I am so happy about, Andre is my bro and he can be a pain in the ass most times and besides if he tutors me we will just talk about all the girls we have f-",I cut him short.

   "Okay, I understand", I said and he smirks

    "Since we both hate each other.....well I hate you but you love me, I know you do.....well back to the matter at hand. Let's get the bullshit over with", he said.

   " Who the hell do you think you are? Me love you? You must be insane. I am not tutoring you and that's final ",I said.

    " Okay, princess. But you will come begging to tutor me I promise ",he did his evil smile and walked out.

   " I hate you",I murmured.
