Nathan's P. O. V

     We are in the cafeteria, Principal Kelvis let me off today, so I am seating with Ella,Kath,Kate,Susan,Andre,Fred,Frank and Isaac.

    "I hacked into their system and there is no one by that name or look", Susan said.

     " Scivi enim scivi enim dixit illa tunc iacebat( I knew it, I knew she was lying the moment she said it)",I smiled and they all looked at me like I was crazy. The only people who understood what I said was Ella and Fred because they are witch and wizard.

    "Quae est superhero vindicated?(she claimed she is a superhero?)", Ella asked.

   " Etiam(yes)",Fred beat me to it.

   "Ego autem habeo reginae(I have got you now, princess)",I said to myself as I smiled.

   " You witches and wizards are weird.",Frank said and we all smiled.

   I looked at Andre but he didn't seem to happy. Our eyes met a couple of times but each time our eyes met he looks away before I could communicate with him.

    "We have training today after school, remember", he said to Kate as he stood up and left.

    " What's up with him? ",I asked Kate.

    " Nothing",she stood and left as well.
Okay, something is up.

    "Why did you walk out on him? He would suspect something. We all know he is observant", I heard Kate say.

      " I know, do you think I like hiding things from my bestfriend but he has a lot on his mind. He is still mourning his sister and is trying to find the Demonites who lives amongst us. And you still want me to tell him about me, I will be the last person he will worry about. We will solve it ourselves, we are kanays and he is a wizard you know we aren't in good terms. I will try seeking help from our kind, so please don't involve him in this. It is bigger than us.",Andre said and opened the janitors closet.

    When he opened the door he saw me standing in front of the door.

    "So this is what you think of me. You think I am just a wizard. You called me your bestfriend yet you said you are the last thing on my mind. You are my brother from another mother. Even if I don't give a f**k about anyone, I care about you. So tell me, what is wrong?", I asked him as I stood right in front of him.

    " I am fine.",he said and left.

     I looked at Kate and she looked at me back."What's wrong? Please tell me. I hate seeing Andre like this",I said to her.

    "It is best you leave him alone for a while. We have a lot going on now and we would love to handle it on our own.",she replied and left for her class.

     " hey John, where is Mae? We are supposed to meet today ",I asked John after school.

    " She didn't come to school today. Do you want to drop a message? I will drop by at her house before going home",he replied me.

   "Do you mind if I follow you?", I asked.

   "No, you can tag along.",he said and I followed him.

     We are outside and I have been waiting for a while now, yet no sign of the red-hair girl- sorry Mae.

     The front door opened and Mae came out. She looked tired, like she hasn't had enough sleep. She looked miserable and her red hair was scattered all over the place, she dressed like a homeless wanderer. I knew something was wrong the moment she opened the door and looked miserable.

   "Are you okay?", I asked her.

   "I am fine. Why are you here?",she sounded vexed.

   "Today is Friday. Wanted to know when you will be tutoring me.",I said.

   " That will be next week, right now I am not in the mood to tutor anyone",Mae said as she spurned around.

    "But exam is in two weeks", I said.

   " So?",she said not facing me.

    "You have to study.", I told her.

    She turned and faced me." Why do you care? Why don't you leave me alone? I will study on my own. Since you are the best why can't you study and get back on track and leave me the fuck alone",she yelled. After she got herself back it was too late. Her brothers were out.

    "What the hell is he doing here?", Jay asked as he stared at Mae and I.

     " He came to know why I didn't come to school today",she said.

   "And why does he care?", Josh asked.

   " We are in the same class, Josh. Let it pass",she said as she tried to get into the house but was blocked by her brothers.

    "No, tell us the main reason why this asshole is here", Jay said.

     " It is none of your business ",she shot back.

    " None of our business. The bastard that hurt you walks in here and acts like he cares, he had the audacity to show his heartless face here and you want it to pass. Really Mae ? We have a lot on our plate and you are going at our back to see this nae nae.",Jay snapped.

     I looked at Mae and I saw how angry she was. She must be boiling with anger now because she tightened her fist and she closed her eyes trying to calm down, I guess. I knew she didn't want them to know she is tutoring me and after two weeks no one has to know, so the least I can do for someone who healed me is to back her up and that I intend doing.

     "Our biology teacher was worried because he didn't see Jackson, Angel and Mae today so he asked me to check up on them", I said, praying I sounded convincing enough.

    Jay and Josh looked at me for a while, then looked at Mae and back at me.

   " Get in",Jay said to Mae authoritatively as he stepped aside.

   "Not until the three of us enter inside together", she folded her hands.

    " Wh-"Josh held Jay's hand and Jay looked at him.

    "Let it pass......(he looked at me and continued) for now. For the sake of grumpy and the issue at hand", Josh said and Jay entered inside.

   " Tell him goodbye and get in",Josh told her.

   "Can you give me a minute,please Josh?", she said and he entered inside the house.

     "You sure?(she nodded). Fine but get in fast. We have a lot to discuss", Josh said and banged the door.

    " I will call you",she said.

    "But you don't have my number.", I said trying to remind her.

   " Well, you ain't the one who has his way. I also have my way of getting things I want"she smirk,"only when it is important ".

    " By using a spell",I smiled.

    "Maybe", she smiles.

    " Thanks for checking up on me",she said.

    "It is only because you are tutoring me", I told her.

   " Hmmmm, whatever. I have to get inside before my brothers chop both our heads off. Bye",she  gave me a little smile before entering her house.
