Chapter 11

For a moment, things were quiet. Then...
"You must be Tsunade-sama." Naruto bowed slightly. "It's an honor to meet you."
"You have more manners than I expected." Tsunade commented. "And you did what neither the Legendary Sannins, nor the clan heads, nor even the Sandaime tried to do. That's...impressive, actually."
"Thank you." Naruto smiled.
Tsunade: "But don't get cocky, brat. You still have a long way to go if you ever want to be a true shinobi."
Naruto chuckled softly, leaning his hands behind his head. "I'm not looking to impress anyone, Tsunade-sama. I just did what had to be done to protect my friends."
Tsunade's amber eyes softened slightly, a faint flicker of warmth cutting through her stern demeanor. She glanced over at Sai and Yakumo, then at Teuchi and Ayame, taking in the small, tight-knit group that Naruto had assembled from the margins of the village.
"Well, you certainly made one hell of an entrance," Tsunade said, crossing her arms. "The Daimyō officially signed the decree an hour ago. I'm taking the position of Fifth Hokage."
"Congratulations," Naruto said. "The village needs someone who isn't afraid to cut out the rot."
"And speaking of rot," Tsunade's expression turned dead serious, her tone dropping into a low, authoritative baritone. "We have a lot of mess to clean up. Starting with the files you retrieved from the forbidden archives."
Jiraiya stepped forward, his face unusually grave as he rested a heavy hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Kid... Tsunade and I looked over the documents you recovered. About your family. About your sister, Koyuki... and your brothers."
Naruto's breath hitched slightly, his blue eyes sharpening as the easygoing posture melted away. "So it's all true? ROOT took Koyuki? And Ashuto and Djin..."
"Ashuto was taken by the masked man responsible for the Nine-Tails attack ten years ago,"Jiraiya confirmed, his knuckles whitening. "And Djin was handed over to Orochimaru through one of Danzo's dirty backroom deals. Danzo was using your family's bloodline as bargaining chips and experiments."
Tsunade took a step closer, resting her hand on the top of Naruto's head, surprisingly gentle despite her legendary strength.
"As Fifth Hokage, my first official act is to launch black-ops tracking units to locate your siblings and bring them home," Tsunade declared firmly. "And as for your sister Koyuki... ROOT's secret holding facilities are being raided as we speak by Kakashi and the ANBU loyal to the village. We're going to find her, Naruto. I give you my word."
Deep within the damp mindscape, Kurama let out a low, satisfied rumble, his fiery eyes gleaming in the dark.
"The tide has finally turned, brat," Kurama remarked. "The old dragon is dead, and now the real hunt begins."
Naruto looked up at Tsunade and Jiraiya, a genuine, resolute spark igniting in his eyes.
"Thank you, Baa-chan," Naruto said quietly. "Then let's bring them back."
Meanwhile, deep within Naruto's mind where he couldn't reach...
Sitting in the middle of a glowing mindscape, Indra was sitting cross-legged, his eyes closed tightly. When he opened it, he gave a deep sigh, and had a faint smile.
Indra: "So, that's your answer, huh? You did good, Naruto. Very good."
Then, he closed his eyes again, and spoke without turning around as he heard some footsteps coming to him. "Never thought I would be inside your reincarnation, Ashura. But I have to admit: Naruto is a good kid."
Behind him, stood a tall figure with short hair, and the same white robes that Indra wore.
Ashura: "I'm still curious: why are you even here anyway? Whatever Minato's seal did, you clearly weren't affected by it."
Then, Indra finally gave the answer that Ashura didn't expect. "After many reincarnations, I got tired. And I wanted to find another way to imply my philosophy rather than trying to take revenge. So I tried to pick a baby from some family just to figure it out. Never thought Naruto would be your reincarnation. By the way, the Senju went extinct, by merging into Konoha, right? How did you..."
Ashura then chuckled. "You only focused on one branch of my descendants, you forgot about the other branch."
"Damn it!" Indra groaned loudly.
Then...
Ashura: "Still, Naruto was still right about something."
"Yeah." Indra nodded. "He was right about the relationship between love and power."
Ashura: "Yeah. That means we don't have to be stuck in this loop anymore."
"Before going to Father, may I have a moment with Naruto?" Indra sighed. "I want to give him one final gift before leaving."
"Wow, you really have gone sentimental, haven't you?" Ashura smirked teasingly hearing this.
Indra: "Shut up."
That night...
As Naruto closed his eyes expecting a good sleep, Naruto awoke in the quiet stillness of his mindscape. But the bleak, murky sewer pipes were gone, replaced by a vast expanse of calm, translucent water reflecting a starlit sky.
Standing a few paces away was Indra. His dark hair swayed gently in an unseen breeze, and the harsh crimson glow of his Sharingan had softened into a calm, profound clarity.
"Indra...?" Naruto looked around, sensing the absolute tranquility of the space. "Where are we? What happened to the sewer?"
"The dark cage was a reflection of your pain, Naruto," Indra said softly, turning to face his student. "And you have finally broken free from it."
Indra took a slow step toward Naruto, looking down at the ten-year-old boy who had shattered centuries of hatred with simple, unyielding resolve.
"My time in this world has reached its end," Indra continued, a faint, genuine smile touching his lips. "I spent a thousand years believing that power was the only truth, and that love was merely a weakness waiting to be exploited. But you proved to me that power controlled by love is the only true strength. You have freed me from a cycle I thought would drag on for eternity."
Naruto blinked, a sudden pang of sadness hitting his chest. "You're... leaving?"
"I am," Indra nodded. "My brother is waiting for me. But before I pass on into the void, I have left you a final gift."
Naruto's eyes lit up slightly. "A gift? Is it a jutsu? Or... is it the identity of the masked guy who controlled Kurama nine years ago?"
Indra let out a short, quiet laugh—the first real, warm laugh Naruto had ever heard from the legendary spirit.
Indra: "You will face the masked man when the time comes. But I'll give you a hint: he is a close friend to that Copy Ninja. But that's not the gift I'm talking about. Look for it in sunrise."
Indra's form began to dissolve into countless soft, glowing motes of white light, ascending gracefully into the starry night sky.
"Farewell, Naruto Uzumaki," Indra's voice echoed warmly, fading into the ether. "Walk your path with your head held high."
The morning sun cast a warm, golden glow through the window of Naruto's room in the Namikaze compound. Naruto slowly opened his eyes, feeling an extraordinary sense of lightness in his chest, though the absence of Indra's presence left a quiet void.
Remembering Indra's parting words, Naruto quickly pulled on his dark shirt, slid his sandals on, and walked out into the main living room.
But to his surprise, he found nothing, but a note.
The gift isn't in your house, but somewhere in this world. Good luck finding it.
Indra.
P/s: If your path is too easy, you're on the wrong path.
Naruto stared down at the small slip of paper, a soft, wry smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Classic Indra," Naruto muttered, shaking his head. "Even when he leaves, he still can't just give a straight answer."
"He was always a pain in the ass like that," Kurama's deep voice rumbled inside his head. The Nine-Tails shifted comfortably within the sealed mindscape, though the oppressive atmosphere of the old sewer was now replaced by a vast, quiet sanctuary. "At least the bastard finally moved on. Now we don't have to listen to his endless lectures about discipline."
"Yeah," Naruto whispered, his blue eyes softening as he traced the ink of the note. "I'm gonna miss him, though. Now come on, the journey is still very long. And I'm pretty sure it's gonna be very difficult."
"Difficulty is just another word for progress, brat," Kurama's voice echoed gently in his mind, carrying an ancient, settled warmth. "You've got your father's mind, your mother's stubbornness, and the resolve of two legendary brothers riding behind you. Let them throw whatever they want at us."
Naruto grinned, a bright, fiery spark igniting in his blue eyes as he adjusted his headband.
"Yeah," Naruto said softly, stepping onto the railing before leaping gracefully into the morning light. "Let's go bring our family home."
