Dick's POV

I walk into the living room with ice on my arm and Artemis smirks, "did she beat you up?" She snickers and I roll my eyes

"She's weak, I couldn't fight back" I explain and Artemis nods amused.

"Seems weak to me" she says sarcastically. I wouldn't hurt her even if she was ok, it's why I knocked her out with a pressure point and not by punching her, there's something about her that makes me just not want to hurt her.

"That's her asleep" Wally says then looks at me and narrows his eyes at me holding an ice pack to my arm. To him I'm like a little brother so anyone that hurts me he automatically hates. That and if they are a criminal or traitor.

A crash is then heard in the kitchen and we all run through to see Raven sitting holding her leg. She looks at us and tries to stand but can't. "Can't you just stay put?" I ask and she glares at me.

"I hate you" she says and I smile supporting her up.

"Sure you do" I say and she rolls her eyes as I sit her on the sofa and M'gann gets her some ice and looks her leg.

"I think you've fractured it" M'gann frowns, "it looks like it needs a cast, isn't it painful?"

"No" Raven says then stands leaning on my shoulder with her elbow, "I'll just walk it off" she says then limps back to the air vent looks at the ventilation system and sighs, "it's just a dead end anyways"

"You were trying to escape?" Kaldur asks and she nods

"Well yeah I sort of was because believe it or not I have a life, in Gotham, and I'm not going to spend it living the life of crime like my aunt and my grandfather. I want to have a normal life like a girl my age should have!" She says and I frown at her sympathetically, it must be hard being her.

"Well you can't get that, you're an assassin, second in line to the demon!" Wally says against Raven

"I didn't choose that life! I didn't choose any of this!" Raven snaps and everyone looks at her in shock, "I'm nothing like them" she says quietly then disappears in a black puff of smoke. She's gone.

Artemis hits Wally in the back of the head, "well done baywatch, now you hurt her!" Artemis yells.

"She's an assassin, they have no emotions, it's how they're trained!" Wally argues back.

"Just shut up!" I yell shutting them up and everyone looks at me surprised I had that sudden outburst, I'm normally quiet and ignore their bickering but this is about Raven, this is meant to be her first day of school and she's been hurt more times than any of the team have today out together!

"Stay out of this Rob and go see your girlfriend!" Wally yells at me.

"She's not my girlfriend!" I yell back

"Yeah? Seems like you two were close" he says then looks at me with narrowed eyes, "oh yeah that's right she couldn't be your girlfriend" he's going to pay for ever bringing her up.

"Shut up!" I yell at him and throw a bomb making him stumble back and he smiles at me

"You picked a fight with the wrong person" wally says then runs at me starting a fight.
