Chapter 2

Izuku POV

"So this is the place, huh?" Shoto asked, crossing his arms when we got out of the bus.

"Apparently." Tsuyu croaked, craining her head, probably looking for a water source.

"It's nicer than what I was expecting!" Toru cheered, the clothes on her body the only things visable. I think she was also pumping her fist in the air as well.

"Same! Not a lot of stuff to get my acid on, that's for sure." Mina said, wiping away some sweat from her head.

"Well, if worse comes to worse, I can always make a tent. I don't see any cabins here." Momo said, looking around.

Kyoka had one of her ear jacks in her phone. "No reception here either. My phone's only good enough for music now."

Ochako shrugged. "Could be worse."

"How so?" Mineta grumbled. "No internet, no hot chicks, nothing."

"Hey!" Momo complained. "I thought you said I was hot!"

"I always see your breasts when we're in costume, so they've lost their allure."

Momo crossed her arms as Ochako looked up in a tree. "We... Could have no entertainment!"

"How do we get entertainment out in the woods?" Denki asked, electricity going from his hands making him look like a human Pikachu.

"Easy." Ochako looked at a tree and jumped to the lowest branch. "We have trees to climb."

"How is that fun?" Hanta asked, tape going out of his elbows.

"I did this all the tine when I wad a kid! My parents wouldn't let me go all that high though, even when I had my quirk." Ochako said, looking down at me. "Did you do this too Deku?"

"Before my dad left... Yeah. Afterwards, I mainly just stayed inside and watched the same All Might video over and over again until the doctor eventually told me that I probably wouldn't get one." I smiled, grabbing the lowest branch and hoisting myself up.

"Well, you did!" Kacchan grumbled. "And you fucking lied to me and the other shitheads at our school about it for years, Deku."

"That's because back then, I couldn't use it without injuring my body. You saw me at the sports festival. I was a wreck. I'm still trying to get used to the taiyaki."

"I'm sorry, did you just say taiyaki?" Teyna asked, crossing his arms and tilting his head.

"As in, the fish you heat up in the microwave?" Eijiro asked, hardening his hand to punch a tree next to him.

"It's complicated." I said simply.

"Is that what you were imagining while we were fighting Stain?" Shoto asked.

"Would you think I was lame if I said yes?"

"Yes." Kacchan interrupted.

"No." Shoto came back in.

"Yeah... Gran Torino told me to think of my strength spreading throughout my body evenly, and the moment before that he was getting on my case because I didn't heat up his taiyaki correctly because I didn't know that the plate had to turn, so I thought of it, and it just... Stuck."

"Whatever works, I suppose." Fumikage said, Dark Shadow looking restless as he looked at me and Ochako in the tree.

"I just hope that the animals understand me, and it happens." Koji said, getting an ant on his finger, petting it slightly.

Kyoka sighed heavily. "And to think you were scared of insects in the practical exam..."

"People grow, Earphone Jack."

"Koji's right. I mean, look at how much Midoriya's grown since we started class." Mashirao said motioning to me.

"Yeah. It's kinda scary how much he's grown in such a short time." Mezo said, speaking out of one of his mouths.

"You're right. To think, at the beginning of the year, he was struggling to throw a ball without breaking his finger. Now look at him." Ochako agreed, laughing.

"Right here." I reminded everyone.

"We're aware." Rikido said, taking out a small piece of candy.

"Now he's fabulous!" Yuga said, sounding slightly gay.

"Am not, Naval Laser." I crossed my arms.

"Really? Ochako seems to think so."

"I think he's an amazing person, but nothing more than that. Just in a friend way, you hear?" Ochako practically glared at Yuga.

He just shrugged helplessly.

"I agree though." Shoto said, smirking a little bit. "You're like the nicer version of Katsuki now. Powerful and a worthy opponent for next year."

"You are totally going down next year." I said, smirking back.

"Oh whatever."

"Okay children. We have to go. Uraraka, Midoriya, get out of the tree. You guys can have time for that later." Mr. Aizawa said, getting everyone's attention.

I climbed down first as I held out my arms. "Jump down Ochako. I'll catch you."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

"Okay..." Ochako jumped down as I wrapped my hands around her waist and staggered back a little bit.

"You good?" I asked.

She nodded as we ran to catch up with the group.

"So, this is the actual camp." Mr. Aizawa said, pointing to a small circle of log cabins around a lake. Tsuyu was practically jumping. "We already have you separated into different cabins, which we'll read out now. In Cabin 1, Momo, Mina, and Ochako. Cabin 2, Kyoka and Toru. Tsuyu, your friend from middle school, Habuko, we invited her to come as a guest with your class, so you'll be staying with her in Cabin 3."

"Ribbit!" Tsuyu jumped high into the air. "Summer just got way better!"

"In Cabin 4," Mr. Aizawa continued. "Will be Mineta, Hanta, and Tokoyami. Cabin 5, Midoriya, Iida, and Shoto. Cabin 6, Katsuki, Denki, and Eijiro. Cabin 7, Koji, Mashirao, and Mezo. Cabin 8, Yuga and Rikido. Cabins 9-16 will be taken up by Class B. So I suggest you go find your cabins and unpack. Then, you'll have the rest of the day to look around before meeting in the mess hall. Understood?"

"Yes sir!"

Momo and Mina practically dragged Ochako away as Shoto, Tenya, and I walked into Cabin 5.

"This place... Is awesome." Shoto said, smiling as he went over to the couch and plopped down his bag. "Does every place have two floors?"

"Yes. I read up on this before coming here. The first floor is essentially a lounge, included with a mini fridge in case anyone brought snacks or if we get snacks from the camp store. The second floor has our rooms."

"As prepared as always Tenya." I laughed, walking up the stairs. "Okay, this is pretty cool. I think I found which one is mine..."

Shoto and Tenya walked up the stairs to see what I was talking about. Each door was personalized to suit the person staying inside. On Tenya's door was a bunch of cogs and metal. On Shoto's half of it looked crystallized blue with ice, while the other had vibrant red and orange colors for fire. On mine, however, was a bunch of pictures of superheroes and All Might posters, Deku spelled out in black marker.

"That's a fair assumption." Tenya said, looking at his door.

"How did you figure that out?" Shoto asked. "By looking at the superhero pictures or the fact that it says Deku on the door?"

"Honestly, the superhero pictures."

Shoto rolled his eyes, laughing.

"For the record Torodoki, I like your door. It's really cool." I said, smiling.

"You do know that you can call me Shoto, right? Both of you can. We've been through a lot together. We may as well be on a first name basis."

"Yeah. Okay." I nodded. "Well, I guess we should start unpacking."

"Yeah. Meet in the lounge in twenty minutes?" Tenya asked.

"Yeah."

"Sure. I didn't bring that much stuff anyway."

"Okay team. Break!"
