"Dont worry about that, Lea, because you guys arent joining us. No way." Zayn shook his head, a small smile on his lips. 

"For the succession of the institute, we are."Lea responded, typing away on a device she had. 

"We can handle this alone, we'll get the cure and bring it back. We dont need any more of you pest-," Zayn coughed, "workers to help us." 

"For better chances of success in retrieving the cure, we must join. It has been approved by the leader." Lea remarked, looking over at Zayn with a smug smile. 

"Fuck." Zayn hissed under his breath. He was entering some pretty deep waters by allying himself with them, only time will tell when they decide to kill him.

"What?" Niall whispered over to Zayn, "Im sure they can help." 

"And we will help," Liam smiled to Niall, "Anything for a fellow worker, congratulations on the promotion."

"Hey, thanks!" Niall beamed, feeling a little bad for lying to a nice guy like him. 

"To which faction do you work?" Liam asked, raising a brow. 

Niall looked over to Zayn, "It's classified." 

"Surely you can tell us, we're all institute members here, right?" Lea narrowed her eyes over at him. 

"Of course," Zayn smoothly responded, "But the leader had decided to keep our titles classified. I dont make the rules." 

Lea nodded, taking in a deep breath, "So, where are you thinking of going, anyways?" 

"Chamber 80," Zayn lies, "Niall and i have some other duties to fill, but we can meet you there." 

"We can wait." Lea responds.

"In fact, we can help if needed." Liam offers, looking between the two boys.

Zayn huffed in annoyance, when will these people quit? 

"You guys are so nice, thanks for the offer." Niall was radiating happiness, making Zayn feel a pang to his heart. 

Had he really been so mean to Niall, that a mere offering of help was something Niall was excited about? 

"What do you have to do?" Liam asked, looking over at Zayn. 

"Now that i think about it, nothing. We finished it earlier." Zayn lied again. 

"Then lets begin our search." Lea decided, motioning for Zayn to lead the way.

"Zayn, i'm tired." Niall whined, knocking his head against the older boys shoulder. They had began walking to chamber 11 to continue the search for the culprit.

"Hey, shush, cookie, we'll be there soon. Just keep quiet." Zayn soothed, reaching up and rubbing Niall's arm for a second. 

Niall kept his view downwards and saw something attached to Zayn's belt, jumping as he walked. The bobblehead had found a home.

"Its so hot out, i cant even see with the stupid sun, this stupid sand makes it hard to walk. Why didnt people just make roads?" Niall complained, being grumpy since he barely had any sleep last night. 

Zayn lightly laughed, "So people like you could suffer." 

"You're such an asshole." Niall pouted, hating Zayn's smart ass comments all the time. 

"A smart asshole that'll get us out of the mess you put us in." Zayn responded, referring to Liam and Lea. 

Niall pulled his head from Zayn's shoulder. "Its always my fault." He mumbled to himself, keeping his eyes to the ground. 

Zayn didn't catch what Niall said, and assumed he was just complaining again to himself. 

"This isn't chamber 80, it 11." Lea announced, looking at her GPS and seeing 11 instead of 80.

"Perfect." Zayn hummed. 

"You said you were going to chamber 80." Lea frowned, stopping in her tracks. 

"You know, i think i can hear some rattling when we walk,  you might wanna check the screws in your head." Zayn responded humorously, looking at the giant chamber coming into view. 

"You did say we were going to chamber 80 though." Niall whispered over to Zayn, not liking how he was lying.

"I said i was thinking of going to chamber 80, not actually going there," Zayn corrected, "Anyways, we're here!" 

The crew was subjected to a search before and after entering the chamber. Security bots monitored the hallways, shooting anything that moved. 

They even had an escort, who's name was Anna. She looked like a reformed raider as she was very muscular and had a serious vibe to her. 

The chamber was different from the previous one Niall had visited, and he wasn't sure he liked it. Niall thought Anna was a nice girl, but he valued privacy more than her assistance.

They walked down a long, very lit hallway leading to another chamber door. Turns out, the haven't even entered the chamber, it was more of a test to see if they'd be cooperative. 

Luckily, they passed. After Anna typed in some codes, the chamber door opened, revealing chamber 11. 

Another escort came to greet them but made sure she was clear that she was all business. 

"You are not to touch anything or go anywhere besides these hallways. Failure to do so will have you subjected to our rad bath. Robots and workers monitor everything, so you won't get away with anything. Understood?" She asked, glaring at all of them. 

They all nodded, Zayn looking a little more disinterested out of all of them. 

"Understood?" She repeated, looking at Zayn. 

"Theres no need to repeat yourself, sweetheart, i heard you the first time. Yes, your warning is understood," Zayn responded, waiting for her to turn her back before he whispered to Niall, "Now, will it be followed? Not quite sure." 

Niall looked over at Zayn with wide eyes and shook his head. 

"You never told us why we're going here." Liam pipped up, looking over at Zayn. 

"To get absolutely piss drunk," Zayn deadpanned, then lowered his voice, "To look for a weapon, duh, its a red and black gun." 

He figured the two newbies could help by speeding up the searching process. 

"Why do we care about some weapon?" Lea questioned. 

"Well, its the weapon the culprit has. The culprit has kidnapped the people finding the cure to ghoulification, so we'll search around and see if we can find any hints or clues they may have left." 

"Sounds good, after you." Liam nodded, motioning to lead. 

"Actually, i have a better idea. To speed the searching process up, we can-" 

"Divide and conquer." Niall interrupted, looking up at Zayn with a grin. 

"Took the words right out of my mouth, didn't you?" He gave the blonde a small smile before turning back to the other pair, "Yes, divide and conquer. Niall and I then You and Lea. We can meet back outside the chamber in exactly three hours." 

They both nodded. 

"Now, let's give this place a nice, warm, raider inspection."

incase you dudes didn't know, raiders are like top class ppl who literally raid any place they go to and are super skilled in combat. They kill anything there and take the place over, pretty much.

also two updates in one day look at me go :D

So i think in the next, next chapter some shit will go down about the case dun dun duuun
