I rushed to the balcony. I took a long breathe taking in the smell of the wet soil, what do we call it in English? Drizzling?

 I love the rain. I looked at the sky, it was a dark shade of grey. It was so beautiful, Is this what true happiness feels like? I became suddenly so overwhelmed by my surroundings. Whatever I was feeling, happiness or awe about the beauty, i don't know, it felt so good. (So maybe I'll write it down here so I can read this and later feel those those emotions again.)

A cold wind was blowing,. I felt a shiver run down my spine when I felt the wind caress my face. It became so dark around me. It felt like I was standing in the evening while the clock showed the time as just a few minutes past 12pm. The darkness was soon driven away for a few seconds by a sudden flash of lightening. I waited, clenching my fist, for the sound of thunder. It wasn't as sharp that I had expected, it was just a low rumble as if the clouds were complaining about the weight of water to nature. I could feel nature telling the clouds to let go the weight when I heard the leaves whispering in an unknown language.

The wait was just for a few seconds and the rain started pouring. It was so beautiful and mesmerizing. I felt goosebumps. I looked around at the trees in the garden—their leaves dancing at the touch of water. I could feel the little plants sighing in relief as the water washed away the dust in their leaves, cooling them down from the summer heat.

I stared at ripples forming in the small puddles in the road. I was gripped by unknown feeling of bliss. I put my hand out of the shade of the balcony and felt the cold water splashing against my skin sending shivers down my spine.

A crow landed in the tree next to the balcony, fully drenched. I laughed as it was shaking its wings and trying to dry itself. 

" Caw! Caw!" I tried to sound like a crow hoping that the crow would get confused. Well it didn't even flinch, maybe thought that a dog or cat was dying somewhere. 

The rain gradually slowed down and the sky lightened.

I felt so happy but I couldn't waste more of my time. I went inside and continued doing physics and hoping I would be good in physics one day!
