Chapter-16-"A Simple Dinner with Possessive Monster"

Angelica Devina's POV

"What's the point of fighting you anyway?!" I sigh and adjust myself in his lap. His hand is so tight around me. A satisfying smile forms on his face. He smirks and lifts the fork with spaghetti that I cooked up to my mouth. I look at everyone at the table. They have witnessed me struggle and fight against Gabriel as he forced me into his lap and how strangely possessive he is about the food I cooked.

"Eat, Angel." He gently says and I open my mouth letting him feed me. I moan. Hmmm!!! I do cook well!!! Jules is just staring at her food. Simon is sitting beside her staring at her. Kylan, Ryan and Lance are waiting for eat. Gabriel said he should be the first one to eat the food I cooked and didn't let anyone even touch it. Once he tasted it, he paused, didn't speak for nearly a minute and kissed my cheek.

"You guys should start too." I say and they look at Gabriel who nods at them and they dig in. Simon is still looking at Jules though. Everyone eat and look happy with the food.

"Fucking best I ever had!" Ryan shoves another forkful in his mouth. A grin forms on my face. Gabriel eats the whole serving and Lia, the help, Serves him some more. He keeps feeding me in between. The chef cooked a lot of items. Others are trying them too, but Gabriel claimed the whole spaghetti for himself. This night is a Simple Dinner with all these lovely people and Possessive Monster.

"I can cook more if you want. Eat slowly. You are going to choke on your food." I wipe the sauce from the side of his lips and he stalls looking at me. Just staring at me like he usually does. I stare right back. It's like it's only us both in the room. What is it in his eyes? Wetness? No! I must be wrong!!!

After what Jules told about me, I realize he has just been used by his father too. He grew up with no Love. He grew up to be a killing machine. I want to know more about him. I want to go on a date with him, I want to sit and listen to him speaking about his life.

I want to know this Monster's heart!

"You are cooking for me everyday." He puts his face in my neck and sucks on my neck. My eyes go to the men in the room who are busy talking or maybe pretending like they are busy. I can't stop Gabriel. I learned as much. He doesn't care. He lives by his own rules. Just how I want to be.

"Oh please!" Jules's annoyed voice brings me back to reality. I look at her and she looks pissed at Simon who is just smirking. She meets my eyes but quickly goes back to eating. What's going on between them?!

The rest of the night went well. I brought out the pie I made and again Gabriel is the first one to be served. His steel grey eyes captivate me as he eats and looks at me like I have him all the diamonds valuable in the world. I got to know Kylan and Ryan more. Though they are brooding usually, they are humans too. I get comfortable around them.

"Did-Did you find out who my fiancé is?" I ask as everyone is nearly done with eating. They all look at me including Simon whose attention has been on Jules the whole dinner.

"I am you fiancé." Gabriel digs his fingers into my waist.

"What?" What is he talking about?

"Our contract only ended because you were declared dead." I swallow a lump in my throat at his words. The deeds of my father and the hurt they caused are still fresh. "But since you are alive and here." He breathes in my scent. "Technically I am your fiancé." Why do I find his possessiveness so hot?! Something is so wrong with me!

"I mean... The man I was supposed to marry!" I want to throw my hands in the air. There is a pause before Kylan answers.

"We have a few suspicions. But nothing of confirmation."

"Oh." I look at Jules. She tries to give me a comforting look.

"Why do you ask?" Gabriel asks and I meet his eyes. His other hand surrounds me too, like he is afraid I might leave him and run away. Where would I go?

"I just... I was just curious." My eyes go down to the remaining pie on his plate. He holds my chin and makes me look at him.

"It's New Year in two days." Is it already?! Only two more days in the one week of the deal we had! But what after this one week? My heart so badly wants to be with him! But I don't even properly know myself! "We have a plan on luring out your father."

What?

"We can always attack him at his house, but there is a chance he might escape. But on New Year's, he comes here and who knows maybe the man he wanted to sell you to." He spits out the last few words like they are disgusting in his mouth. "Might be there."

"We are calling everyone. Every fucking mafia person in the country! It's going to be the biggest event we ever held." Simon speaks.

"Holding security that day is going to be one hell of a job." Ryan, the head of the security speaks. "We have a whole security team on you. Please co-operate with us, Angelica." He genuinely requests. I asked them to call me by my name. Gabriel told them to call me Mrs. Hernandez. I bit him hard on his shoulder and threw a tantrum at the beginning of this wonderful dinner and for some reason he gave in.

I just nod at Ryan. Gabriel kisses the crown of my head lovingly and Jules gives me a look. I shrug leaning into the warmth of the Devil whose lap I am sitting on.

"We will lure him out. We will find out the whole truth, my Little Dove. I promise." His voice holds such determination. "I will fucking kill anyone and anything that thinks of harming you."

"I will do everything I can to help." Jules is speaking to Gabriel. He just gives her a nod.

"This is bigger than all of us. Something huge is on the works and if we don't get to it on time, I know it's all going down." Simon's serious face kind of scares me.

"I want to learn how to shoot." The words I have been thinking of leave my mouth and everyone's eyes are on me. I have to learn for when the situation comes. I understand and I saw that the world I am living in is dangerous. The world that I belong to is dark. I can't always have someone protecting me, threatening me, be scared that someone is going to kidnap me. I need to have some sense of security.

"I will teach you!" Jules says excitedly. I grin at her and look at Gabriel.

"Anything you want. You can start tomorrow." He kisses my nose. "You already know where the guns and ammo are." I do. I shot off a load of bullets the day I got to know the truth. "One of our security persons will still stand guard."

"Thank you." I can't stop grinning. I put my arms around him to give him a hug. He leans forward to eat off the last piece of the pie and stands up still holding me. A squeal leaves me as I wasn't expecting that.

"You all can disperse for the day." His deep voice orders them as he carries me bridal style up the stairs to his room.

"I want one more thing." Playing with the button of his shirt, I put a coy face. His steel eyes that are looking down at me with warmth make me shiver at the intensity in them. Never did I feel so safe with someone. When did he start becoming less of a Devil and more of a... home? No! No, Angelica! Get your brain together!!!

"What is it, my Little Dove?" He asks so gently. I bite my lip before biting the bullet.

"I want a separate room." As soon as the words leave my mouth, Gabriel smirks.

"No." Immediate reply from him as I expected.

"But-" He cuts me off.

"You only get to throw one tantrum a day and no matter how hard you cry or yell you are not getting a different room."

"Urgh!" We are at his room.

Laying me down on the bed on my back, anticipation builds in me as I stare at him. Ready for what he might do to me. I trust him. How strange is it? How strange that I trust my kidnapper than my own family to not hurt me?!!!

I don't remember when I stopped seeing him as a Devil.

Was it when he gave me the truth?

Was it when he held me as I cried?

Was it when he gave me a whole kitchen of my dreams?

Was it when he only looks at me with warmth and vulnerability while the whole world only gets his wrath?

His warmth is now burning a passion in me that might be hard to put out. He pulls out an anklet from his pocket with one huge stone studded to it. His hand grabs my right leg as he puts is on his chest. He puts the anklet on me before making sure it stays in place and kisses my feet.

"Mine!" He pulls me by my hips as he kneels down. I love it! I love having him kneel before me like this! I press my leg hard into his chest. "Yes, my Little Dove." A sick satisfaction appears on his face as I behave like I own him. "Killing is not new to me, but for you, my Angel, my Phoenix." His hand kneads the leg that's pressing down on his hard. "I have no limits. No limits to who I kill or the enemies I will make."

He starts sucking on the thumb of my feet and licks it.

"Do you know Hannah Michaelson?" He asks and it takes me a minute in the haze he is putting me to nod my head. She is one of the top chefs. "She will be coming in to teach you from tomorrow if you want to learn more-"

"Are you serious?!" A shriek of excitement leaves me and I stare at him wide eyed. Did he say what I heard him say? That would be such a golden opportunity! "Oh my God! I would love to!" His eyes move to my grin and then my eyes. A small smile tugs at his lips.

"Great then."

"Thank you so much, Gabriel."

"Anything for my Little One. I loved the spaghetti and I hope you cook for me tomorrow too." He bites gently on my leg and I moan as he sucks on it. A though that's been hanging in my head suddenly pops up.

"Will you hurt my father for betraying you?" I ask. One thing about Gabriel as much as he honors and rewards loyalty, he hates betrayal more. Though I hardly missed my parents since the last couple of days, though they used me like pawn for their game, they are still my parents. I am afraid what Gabriel will do to him.

"I want to hurt him for what he did to you, my Little Dove. For what he planned for you." He eyes have a promise.

"Gabriel."

My heart beats fast. It's not just about betrayal then. There is not just revenge in his eyes. There is more. There is... Is it right? What I am seeing in his eyes?

Is it... Love?
