Chapter 9: Possession
King, Klaus and Azura had arrived to the Centauri pack territory after their lunch at the café. King couldn't help but be worried over the attack today. Marcello's gang were especially gutsy to attack them in broad daylight not thinking of the repercussions. Although, Azura was highly proficient to handle the attackers and she quietly handled what could've been a disaster. King had to give it to her, she truly was worthy of her title as Gabriel's head security. Azura was calm and relaxed no matter what came her way, King was impressed.
At the back of his mind, King thought to himself that he was going to have to end this matter soon before someone got hurt, and King didn't want anyone getting hurt because of him, even if they were as trained to kill as Azura or Klaus.
Looking to his side, where Klaus was walking alongside him, King inwardly smiled. He could get used to this, being close to his mate and to be able to smell Klaus's comforting soft fragrance. King wasn't going to let anything take this away from him, even if that meant that he needed to hunt the devil himself.
Once they arrived right outside the beige-bricked manor, Klaus turned towards King. "I have to return to class," he said. Azura walked past them into the house before them to meet Gabriel, and probably report everything that happened at the café.
King was not keen on hiding his disappointment. "When will you be coming back?"
"Classes finish around three o'clock, so I should be back then," answered Klaus.
King didn't even need to look down at his watch to know that he had to wait for Klaus to get off work in two and a half hours.
"It's only a couple of hours," Klaus sounded as if he was reassuring King, although it didn't help. "Finish your work with Gabriel and I'll meet you later. Okay?"
King put his hands in his pockets, so he wouldn't grab Klaus and whisk him away from everyone. "Sure," he said even though he wanted to tell Klaus not to go.
Klaus gave a small smile. "Have fun," he wished, before he sauntered down the large field towards the busy Institute.
King lingered on the field, his eyes stayed on Klaus who had disappeared behind the blue doors of the school. Once it was clear that Klaus wouldn't be returning, King raked his tousled hair that resulted from the crisp breeze outside today. He didn't want to go inside but he probably had to answer Gabriel's questions. Feigning a dramatic sigh, King climbed the porch stairs and entered the house, that was comfortably warm. King expected Gabriel to be on the first floor, but the living room was empty and so was the kitchen. Azura was nowhere to be seen, neither was anyone else that lived in the grand house.
"Oh, you're here," a voice spoke from the top of the stairs; it was Vincent who looked as if he returned from work as well. Dressed in a blood-red suit was slightly wrinkled from sitting for a long period of time. His black shirt's buttons around his neck were opened showing his clavicles and flawless skin. Vincent's dirty blond hair was combed back, but it looked as if Vincent ran his fingers through it when he was annoyed or exhausted.
"Where is he?" King asked looking up to face Vincent's glimmering green eyes, that weren't the same as Klaus. Vincent's eyes were green with specks of gold in them. They were slightly inquisitive and rough, like he watched everything with suspicion, but maybe that was because he was a lawyer. However, King utterly treasured the deep green of Klaus's eyes, that was virtuously the vibrant shade which resembled a large field or forest.
"He's in his room," said Vincent, his tone amused and tranquil, like always.
King climbed the series of stairs and made it to the floor Vincent waited on. "Did you need something?" he asked when he noticed that Vincent hadn't left.
"Nope," he grinned before he reached for the knob of the door and opened it for King. "Gabriel's expecting you."
King realized that only Klaus was the unpretentious one out of all his siblings. He moved past Vincent and went inside the chambers, that had a spacious lounging area and divider doors that lead to the bedroom. Long curtains draped over the great windows, that displayed the entire territory that Gabriel ruled over. Simple beige couches surrounded a glass table and a golden Persian rug covered the dark hardwood flooring. Like droplets of diamonds, hung an extravagant chandelier that was brimming its warm light over the room.
"We should count ourselves lucky," said the deep voice that belonged to River who stood beside his alpha.
"I know, River," Gabriel's voice sounded dire too. Gabriel was sitting in casual clothes; a large denim jacket, simple grey shirt and rugged blue jeans with his leather boots. He was sitting on the couch, looking rather angry.
"Is everyone's mood off today?" King remarked as he entered further.
Gabriel's golden gaze tracked King first and then River turned too. The man uncrossed his arms and looked ready to kill King.
"What happened in that alley?" asked River sternly, but honestly it sounded like he was scolding King.
King stared at River blankly. "I'm sure Azura already told you," he said as he rounded the couch and took a seat in front of Gabriel who was quiet.
"Marcello will keep attacking him," River told Gabriel this time. "We should hang low until Marcello calms down." Gabriel stayed quiet.
"Marcello isn't going to calm down," said King. "Which, I've been meaning to ask. Why did you pick a fight with Marcello?" King turned to Gabriel now.
Gabriel's jaw tightened, but amusement swam in those feral eyes. "Before I found you, I was going to go to Marcello," he revealed. "Marcello has been a prominent leader amongst the wolves for many years."
King blinked. "So, you were testing him?" he asked.
"I attacked his gangs that were selling the drugs to see what he'd do," corrected Gabriel. "So, I guess you could say that I was making sure if my intuition was right."
"So, Marcello isn't what you hoped for?" asked River what King was thinking.
"Marcello has proved to be difficult, yes," said Gabriel. "And then I met you." Gabriel regarded King.
"I tried to kill you too," said King. "What makes me any different from Marcello?"
Gabriel grinned. "It makes you two very different," he stated. "Marcello waited and sent assailants after us. But, what did you do? You attacked me and then told me to fuck off."
"I don't see how that's any better," said King.
"It told me a lot about your reputation," Gabriel revealed. "You faced me head on and didn't hide behind anyone, which I liked about you."
"What made you pursue King and not Marcello?" asked River.
"King has humanity that Marcello lacks," said Gabriel.
King stared at Gabriel bewildered. What humanity was Gabriel talking about? he thought to himself. From where King was standing, he didn't seem that different from Marcello.
"So, now what?" asked River. "What do we do to stop Marcello?"
Gabriel drew in a breath and he leaned forward, resting his arms on his legs. "I want Marcello to stop his shipment of drugs since he has the largest organization," he planned although it seemed impossible, but from the confidence Gabriel planned with had a whole new possibility to this goal. "I don't want to kill him, and if he cooperates then there is no need to either."
King's ears perked. "I don't think that's up to you, Gabriel," he interjected.
Gabriel raised a brow. "You're right," he said thereafter. "Marcello has chosen his target and it's you. So, you should decide what to do from here."
"This is ridiculous," grumbled River. "We should head over and kill Marcello ourselves."
"Gabriel stole the words out of my mouth," added King. "Marcello chose me, so I'll end him myself."
"That's easier said than done," countered Gabriel. "Marcello is not like the other rogue alphas that are looking for a fight. Marcello plays games with his prey. And this could entirely be a trap for you."
"This isn't my first rodeo, Gabriel," said King. "I can handle it."
Gabriel laced his sturdy hands, when King caught the glimpse of a golden signet ring on his thick forefinger. "I'll let you handle it," he said. "But I don't want you forgetting, that we're family now-" Gabriel's eyes stared deep into King- "and as an alpha and a brother, I will protect you as Klaus's mate."
King stiffened. "I won't let any danger come to Klaus," he said.
"I know you won't," smiled Gabriel. "But I don't think Klaus would want any danger to befall on you either."
At times like this, Gabriel resembled Klaus so much. "I'm used to this by now," King alleged. "Besides, if I'm a part of this family then I should help with the threat against us, right?"
Gabriel and River shared a surprised look. "You're right," said Gabriel, amused. "I'll leave you to it then."
"I still don't think it's wise to send King alone," objected River.
King smiled at River. "Already concerned for my safety," he remarked.
River didn't look amused at all. "Yes, I am," he added. "King will have a better chance at fighting Marcello with more fighters with him."
"I agree," A voice interrupted and the men turned. Azura entered into the room. "Although, it looks like Gabriel and King have already decided. So, there's no point in arguing now, River."
River cursed under his breath. "I know this is hopeless," he grumbled.
Gabriel smiled up at his friend. "It'll be fine," he pacified River. "Marcello is no real threat from what I've seen."
King didn't agree with that. Marcello seemed to be a threat that none of them really knew the extent of. King didn't understand how Gabriel assessed people's character. Why did the great Centauri alpha look for in people like King and Marcello? pondered King. He assumed it was the gain of power over the world, but Gabriel didn't bother with that since the world was already his. It seemed that Gabriel was looking for something else. A quality in people that set them apart, maybe? supposed King.
Vincent entered the room next with his laptop and a bunch of files in his hand. "Are you four done?" he sighed as he lounged back on the seat.
Azura leaned back against the wall. "What I need to know is who the fuck let Marcello get so cocky?" she asked. Vincent flipped the screen of his laptop and laughed at her candour.
"He's got a rich father," River's tone dripped with icy mockery.
Gabriel rolled his eyes. "We've all got some fucked up fathers, don't we?" he raked his dark hair out of aggression.
"We'll gather more intel on Marcello," River told Gabriel before his icy-blue eyes turned to King. "So, I highly suggest that you refrain from taking any reckless actions in the meantime."
Gabriel smiled at his buddy's tone. "It'd be better to listen to River, King," he said. "He's got the psychic abilities of an eighty-year old soothsayer."
King laughed but when he saw River's austere look, he contemplated if Gabriel was making a joke or not. In the back of his head, he understood River's concern but King wasn't one to lay back and take Marcello's attacks. King wanted answers and he was going to go get them from Marcello himself.
Azura and River left the room to do what they promised to their alpha. And Vincent's job commenced.
"I have the papers ready and copies for all of us to keep," informed Vincent.
"Who else did you ask to join your company apart from me?" King asked Gabriel as Vincent handed a folder of legal work for King to keep.
Gabriel was reading over the pages Vincent handed to him too. His brows furrowed and the amusement he had when he was joking with River had dispersed. "I asked only a few," Gabriel told King.
"I know you asked Isaiah and Zachariah," said King.
Isaiah Iron was the ruthless alpha from the Iron Blood pack who had killed his father and freed his brothers from the torturous pack rules, which was the talk around the shifter world for years now. Zachariah North was the alpha of the Crimson North pack, he had inherited his pack from his mother who was known for her iron-clad leadership, which Zachariah inhibited- although Zach was much more diplomatic than his mother.
"Czar Bacardi for one," said Gabriel. "And you know, Zero."
"How'd you convince someone like, Zero?" astounded King. King understood that it was easy to get someone like Czar Bacardi, since he was the alpha of the White Wolf pack and he lived for diplomacy. He was a powerful leader of his pack and made millions off his international companies. Plus, it didn't hurt to mention that Czar's mate, Veronica Bacardi was practically Russian royalty.
A grin played on Gabriel's lips. "Trust me, it wasn't easy," he sighed.
Vincent looked up from his screen. "Going to negotiate with her was terrifying," he told King. "At one point, I really thought she'd pull a gun on us." Gabriel chuckled at the memory.
"The trick to making people listen is to give them something worth listening to," said Gabriel. "Isaiah wanted security for his brothers, I gave it. Zachariah wanted friendship to ensure his pack's safety, I gave it. Czar protects his pack just fine, he looked for profit, which I gave."
"And what card did you use on Zero?" King intrigued.
Gabriel peered up from the papers, the glimmer of mischief in those gold eyes. "A promise," he said the word like it was priceless. But from someone like Gabriel, maybe a promise was expensive.
Vincent smiled, his hazel eyes lost as he studied the screen like he wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him, but he was lost in the memory of what Gabriel shared.
"I promised Zero that I'd have her back," said Gabriel.
King still didn't understand. "So, then why did you need all the other alphas that reign over New York?" he asked.
"I needed all the alphas if I was going to convince Zero to join my side," added Gabriel.
"And having her was so important?" asked King.
Vincent and Gabriel shared an amused look. "She's rules the rogue wolves around the entire world," professed Vincent proudly, like he was fawning over an idol.
"Having Zero on my side not only scared enemies away from my pack, but it gained the trust of millions of our kind around the world," Gabriel explained.
King wasn't too sure if Zero would be pleased to find out that she was being used this way. But only Zero knew what she was ever plotting in her head. And King thought Gabriel was complicated, but Zero passed those leagues.
Vincent put a paper in front of King. "I just need your signature on the bottom left," he told him and he instructed Gabriel to do the same. They signed and then exchanged the papers and sighed again before they handed it to Vincent. "Well, congratulations, you two are officially partners in crime, murder and mayhem," he jested.
"Let's not forget the good times we'll be sharing," added Gabriel.
"Of course," Vincent grinned at King. "How can I forget. Welcome to the pack, brother."
King looked at Gabriel who was smiling too. "Thanks," he drawled.
Gabriel leaned back in the seat. "Oh, did something happen when Azura was with you today?" inquired Gabriel.
Apart from the attack, King remembered the story Azura shared about her past to him in the car. She lived a brutal trauma and Gabriel was the one to pull her out of something that could've killed her.
"She told me about how you helped me when she came here," he revealed.
Gabriel's brows raised in surprise and so did Vincent's. "She doesn't talk about that night," he said. "Azura must have tried to convince you of something."
"I don't know anything about that. But... you're very lucky, Gabriel," said King and he meant it. "You have a group of remarkable wolves by your side."
Gabriel and Vincent shared a smile that convinced King's how alike they were. Vincent was more polished in his looks, as of Gabriel who had a rugged appeal. But their charming smile showed that they truly were blood brothers.
"And I thank our goddess every day for bringing them to me," Gabriel said with a smile.
King rolled his eyes at that term. "I don't think the goddess had anything to do with your choices as a leader," he said not being able to hide the scorn in his voice.
Vincent raised a brow. "Don't let Klaus know you don't like our goddess," he said. "Klaus is a true believer."
"I think he already knows about my distaste towards her," mumbled King.
"And he didn't say anything?" asked Vincent.
King smiled sweetly. "Klaus doesn't seem to mind anything about me, which I still can't believe your brother sometimes myself."
Vincent crossed his legs at the knee, as his eyes appeared amused. "Tousled hair, bedroom eyes, cocky attitude. I totally get why my brother is attracted," he said. "We, Centauri's, have remarkable taste."
King was surprised that Vincent just complimented him. "Thanks, I guess," he titled his head.
"Why were you at the café today?" Gabriel asked.
King hesitated before he answered, but then in a quick second he knew that Azura probably told Gabriel who King had a meeting with. "I was meeting, Trez," he said.
"Is everything alright?" asked Gabriel.
"Yeah, just wanted to meet a friend," King didn't totally lie, maybe that's why Gabriel wasn't able to detect the hesitation in King's voice.
As the minutes turned to hours, King almost smashed the clock with his fist for going so slow. Every now and then, King would get out of Gabriel's room and wander onto the balcony for some fresh air, and to see if there was any sign of Klaus. Occasionally, King would see Klaus leaving the blue doors but then he quickly returned too.
Gabriel and Vincent were still working over the contracts and the next tedious tasks that needed to be completed. King hadn't paid much attention because that was just the benefit of working with honest people; he didn't need to double check the numbers or dot any of the "I's" or cross any of the "T's" with them.
The fresh breeze of the afternoon arrived and the clock finally hit three o'clock. From the balcony, King heard the Institute's bell ring with full force and glory. In time, kids started to stream out of the building. Kids of all ages went to their houses and were either strolling across the field alone or with their friends or siblings. But the one King sought out hadn't appeared at all.
"Klaus usually walks out at three thirty," Vincent shouted and then he stifled his laughter.
"Why don't we take a break," suggested Gabriel. "Let's give King some time to recuperate." King lingered near the window but then Gabriel appeared beside him. "Let's get some fresh air, shall we?" King followed without complaint.
They reached the first floor and as eagerly as King burst out the front doors, Gabriel had not. The Centauri brothers side-tracked to the kitchen before they joined King on the open porch. He looked at his watch and it was only three fifteen when he noticed his mate had sauntered out of the school doors. King instantly felt the rush course through his body, he needed to get to Klaus and be by the one that made him feel so strongly.
However, when does life ever go as planned.
A rowdy group of kids swarmed near Klaus and hadn't let him leave for straight twenty minutes. King couldn't believe that he was getting jealous of high-schoolers and his wolf was convinced for some bloodshed of those boys around Klaus.
"Coffee?" Vincent asked as he came out of the house too.
"No, thanks," said King as his glare crossed the field. King tapped his foot irritably as he watched the scene in front of him. "Damn," he growled darkly.
"If you keep that up someone's going to get killed just from looking at you," Gabriel joined King's side. The alpha of the Centauri pack held an amused grin over his cup of coffee.
King rolled his eyes. "Is that man always surrounded by people?" he glowered.
"Who?" Gabriel followed King's gaze, that was adamant from moving. "Oh, Klaus."
"No one leaves him alone," grumbled King.
Gabriel bit back his grin. "Klaus is the soul of the pack," he said proudly. "But, I feel bad for you. So, why don't I help out." Gabriel patted King's rigid shoulder. He sauntered off to the group on the field that surrounded Klaus.
The groups' attention shifted as their alpha appeared, he was quick to grab their attention onto himself letting Klaus some breathing room. From the distance, as King watched, Gabriel shot him a wink when the diversion worked. Klaus had returned to the empty school...alone.
King was convinced that the Centauri alpha truly was the devil for giving up his brother to a man like King. But King didn't let this opportune chance out of his hands. He wasn't going to turn into a saint because he felt a little bad for Klaus. Apart from Vincent and Gabriel, no one even saw how fast King moved to get into the school.
The halls were dark, but the mid-day sun streamed through every window. He tracked Klaus's scent easily to a vacant classroom. The man was leaned over a table gathering some files and books.
King leaned on the doorframe. "I've always wanted to do it in a classroom," his lips lifted into a wicked grin when he spotted his mate defenceless, and completely unaware of what was about to happen if King decided to close the door behind him.
"Hey," said Klaus, with a bright smile that never seemed to falter, even if he was staring at King who was known for being dangerous and cruel. "You waited this entire time."
"Gabriel had some work to discuss," said King without any concentration since his mind was marvelling about one thing and that alone.
King shut the door and Klaus didn't take notice or maybe he wasn't concerned.
More and more, King realized that his mate was a complete angel who could never see evil in people. King was sure that Klaus would welcome his enemies, serve them tea and then hear their life story. In this case, King was the villain in the story that appeared at Klaus's doorstep. He pretended to be a kind man, but under that facade was a selfish desire to consume Klaus right here and now.
King darkly desired to mark Klaus, possessively and rough was the style King had in mind. And staring at Klaus's lips, that plan seemed golden.
"-done for..." Klaus came around the table and touched King's arm.
"Huh?" King snapped out of the fantasy in his head. "Did you say something?"
"Are you done for the day?" he asked, amused that King was dreamy.
"Yes," his voice was a little bit too rough, dark and hot. But he couldn't help himself in front of Klaus.
"Are you going to stay for dinner?" Klaus asked him then.
King gazed down into those emerald eyes. "Do you want me to stay?" he countered.
"Sure, I'm cooking after all," said Klaus.
A shot of pleasure shot through King when Klaus's scent entered his lungs. He breathed that scent like drugs, addicted and captivated to wanting more. King didn't have it in him to wait any longer. He went after what he really came here for.
"I'll stay if you want me to," said King, his voice low and intense that Klaus picked up on it. The man moved back, confused a little. But King was sure that his darkened scent reached Klaus. They both knew that King was aroused.
Klaus moved back. "King-" but there was nowhere to run. He bumped into the desk behind him, clearly aware that it was hopeless to run now.
"You're too easy, Klaus," King's smirked. He guided Klaus further back onto the table, that Klaus's only option was take a seat for this show.
"What are you..." stuttered Klaus.
King enclosed his hand around Klaus's nape. "You let your guard down around me, which is a big mistake," he professed.
Klaus sank back. "How am I supposed to know that you'd-" King closed in, his lips nearing Klaus without any hesitation.
Now, a breath away from Klaus. He looked up to find Klaus's eyes lowered, breath was hot and faltering, eyes lowered. Perfection, thought King.
Klaus laid his warm hand over King's. The strength in his hand faltered when he tried to pry it away, but he couldn't. This man was too innocent, clear as water and pure. Everything was written on Klaus's face. Klaus's body had a mind of its own. He had no control over it when King was near him. Everything opened up to King's touch. And King was well aware of it, maybe that's why he took such advantage of it. The amusement on King's face fell when Klaus's pheromones permeated around them.
King swiped his tongue over Klaus's bottom lip, enticing for him to open for King. The sweet, gullible Klaus didn't even know what he signed up for when he shifted his head to accept the kiss. King pushed against Klaus, their lips locked ruthlessly.
King forced himself between Klaus's opened legs. King wrapped Klaus's legs around his waist because that was the only way King could get as close as he could. But it wasn't enough. He wanted to get closer, kiss deeper, fuck without any boundaries between them.
King tilted Klaus's head back to deepen their tongues that danced like fire.
A shattering moan released from Klaus and it shot right through King's body like a scorching hot blade. He stiffened from the reaction, that was overwhelming. His entire body stood on alert, his wolf howled to get out to mark Klaus and mate with him.
King's shaft grew into a hard ridge that needed release. He stepped closer to Klaus, he pressed his hardened shaft right against Klaus, so the man knew what he did to him. Klaus shifted his legs around King's lean waist. His fingers dug into King's jacket. If King was low on control, he thought, then Klaus was even worse. The man had no idea how honest he was with his body and King fucking loved it. The kiss continued to the point that it was painful, but damn did it feel so fucking hot.
King shifted his hand into Klaus's golden hair. He was rough with Klaus and King was probably scaring the guy. But fuck it, he thought, King didn't want to stop.
King showed how rough he could be when he wanted Klaus. King growled and tugged against Klaus, his hands moved all over the man but he couldn't find any skin. He needed to touch Klaus's skin and feel him under his hands, otherwise he was going to explode.
King pinned Klaus down against the table. He knew that this was getting out of hand, plus they were in a classroom, but he needed Klaus to look even more vulnerable. Klaus's smile had dissipated and his face was blushed with arousal. King broke the kiss but didn't move away because he wanted to taste more. He licked down the long column of Klaus's neck, his teeth nipped but not hard enough to leave a mark.
Klaus buckled, his body shuddered from the hot sensation that King caused.
King sucked the pale skin and then soothed it over with his tongue. He moved his hands over the Klaus's shoulders and down his chest, the cotton of his shirt was nothing compared to Klaus's exquisite satin skin.
Klaus's hot moans trigged King's patience to break. Klaus raked his fingers through King's dark hair. A lustful darkness seeped into King and his eager wolf when King realized that he had found Klaus's sweet spot. He relentlessly licked over the pulsing nerve on Klaus's throat, immediately Klaus moaned and his fingers tangled King's hair tightened.
A wicked grin lifted King's lips. He looked up and witnessed Klaus's battered state. "Let's see if I can get you to come like this," challenged King.
Klaus arched into King's hands that scavenged down the lean muscles that were hot as sin. King was adamant into enticing every reaction from Klaus he could get. He wanted to see how far he could get Klaus, until he broke or begged for more. Right now, Klaus was being timid with his desires, but when King was done with him, Klaus would be clear with what he wanted from King.
King relentlessly sucked on the rapid pulse on Klaus's throat. The heart was erratic and crazed; it begged King to stop being so merciless. But King wasn't going to stop, especially since, he was having so much fun teasing his little mate.
King reached under Klaus's shirt. The sudden touch of skin sent a thundering rupture of pleasure through King and Klaus.
They both gasped at the contact.
King's fingers studied the contours of Klaus's hard abdomen and chest that were all built to perfection, proving how strong this man was, even though he the same killer like his brothers were. King loved that Klaus took care of his body, it was sturdy with raw muscle and pure vigour. As King climbed higher, the shirt hitched higher too. King moved his lips over to Klaus enticing mouth. He locked their lips just as he rolled Klaus's nipples. The pleasure was great and Klaus was on the edge. King took him further to the depths of ecstasy.
"Stop... King-" Klaus moaned, biting his lip and shutting his eyes close, almost like he was afraid of what was going to happen next.
"I don't want to," King whispered.
He licked down the column of Klaus's neck, not leaving any spot unfavoured. And if anyone tasted as good as Klaus, it would illegal not to savour every moment. King watched his mate breathless underneath him, on top of a school table, it was the hottest thing King had seen, and he has done some hot things in his sexual endeavours.
"King," Klaus's voice faltered. "You need to stop-" he moaned between his warning- "or I'm going to-" his voice fell again as King caressed Klaus's skin and neck.
"You're going to what?" asked King even though he clearly knew what he was doing to the man. King stepped closer between Klaus's legs, their aroused erections connected. It was then that Klaus's emerald eyes snapped open.
King's heart stopped. His mate's regal eyes were strong, sexy and undeniably passionate. The need to claim Klaus was unbearable and King had almost done it too. Maybe he should, he considered.
King deepened their kiss. Hot, fast and sinful was how their tongues danced together. King didn't need to lead anymore. Klaus had encircled his arms around King's neck and had took what he wanted.
"Fuck," growled King.
"I'm going to come," Klaus gasped.
King had only touched Klaus's hardened shaft from over his trousers, but that was enough to make the man crumble apart beneath King.
King kissed Klaus until he came down from his orgasm. Only after King realized that he had orgasmed just from watching Klaus alone.
By the end, they both dropped against the table. Breathless and bewildered, like they were thrown out of a daring tornado. King laid his head against Klaus's chest, trying to catch his breath or his sanity, he didn't know. Klaus tightly held onto King as they both recovered, and King's heart warmed that he was being held so sweetly, like he precious to Klaus.
Abruptly, Klaus's chest starting to shake. King was alarmed and it instantly warned King that Klaus was going to cry or maybe he was angry. But then, sweet laughter filled his ears. King lifted his head and found Klaus laughing.
Klaus finally calmed down and blinked a few times. "I can't believe we just did that in my classroom," he said, laughter still bubbling in him.
King smiled down at him. "I'm surprised no one walked in on us," said King. He got off Klaus and supported himself with his own strength... Well, the little bit that he had left in his sluggish limbs after this crazy ride.
Klaus raised a brow. "Could you have stopped if someone had?" he asked.
"No," declared King. "I would've let them enjoy the show," he grinned hotly.
Klaus blushed a deep red. "You're insane," he mumbled as he got off the table. Klaus moved away and King hated it; a rush of emptiness hit King as hard as a truck would.
It was sudden when Klaus slipped on his feet, but King was quick to act. He anchored Klaus preventing him from falling.
"Be careful," warned King.
Klaus smiled up. "Thanks," he said, relieved or else that would've been a nasty fall.
King kept his strong arm wrapped tight around Klaus's waist. "Where do you need to go?" he asked so he could take him.
"Washroom," said Klaus.
King guided them to the lavatory, that was nicer than he thought it'd be for a high school. Klaus was quick to clean up and so was King. They both fixed their disheveled clothes, tousled hair as best they could. The only thing that they couldn't erase was the trace of sex in their scent. King was inches away from Klaus, and it was clear that their scents had interlaced tremendously- like darkness now swam with light in a thrilling cyclone. Klaus smelt of sex and of King's imprint more than anything and King greatly approved that was branded by their bonding scent. Now, it was clear that this striking Centauri wolf was tied to King Vitiello.
They returned to the classroom and it hit them like a torpedo. Both of them felt the rush of passion since the room only smelt of their arousal, which was clear proof of what went down between them if someone walked in.
"We should let some fresh breeze in," said Klaus clumsily.
Klaus went over to the windows on the other side of the classroom. He was quick to open every single one of them. King was a little irked that Klaus tried to get rid of all the traces of their scents.
"Do you want to come home with me?" Klaus asked King.
King was surprised. Was Klaus inviting him to continue what they started here? he thought. "To your room?" asked King warily.
"Yeah," said Klaus idly. He wasn't even aware of what he was implying so openly and to whom.
King drew in a breath. "So bold," he remarked, "and here I thought you were as innocent as a dove."
Klaus titled his head, but then his eyes widened when he realized what he had done. "Get your mind out of the gutter," he retorted but King cheekily winked at the man. "What I meant was that you can take a shower at my house, since you smell of sex and-" Klaus's voice trailed off.
King straightened with a wicked smile playing on his lips, that still remembered the kiss. "And?" he urged. He wanted Klaus to say what King already knew. King sauntered closer, their bodies inches apart. "Sex and...?"
"Me," finished Klaus. "You smell of sex and me."
"Best two scents in the world," King whispered before he softly kissed Klaus. Their lips lingered and their breaths mixed. Both of them drank the others essence as an elixir to live through this bond.
Klaus laid his hand on King's chest stopping them. "Come on, let's freshen up," he said.
Just as Klaus turned to leave the room, King grabbed his arm. He pulled Klaus back to him and the treacherous need to devour was untamed. King's teeth savagely latched onto the crook of Klaus's neck and he bit down. Their bodies thundered with pleasure. King's wolf howled from satisfaction that their mate was finally theirs to claim and protect. There was no going back or turning away for any of them now.
King soothed over the mark with his glassy tongue. He lifted his head and found Klaus bewildered. This wasn't like the moment Klaus had opened the windows to erase the scent of their arousal. This mark was permanent, eternal and deeper than any blood relation, because this bond sealed souls together.
"You can't get rid of this so easily," said King.
"You marked me," he astounded.
King swiped the pad of his thumb over Klaus's bottom lip. His eyes clearly eyeing their target. "And I'm going to keep doing it from now on," he declared. "I'm will mark every single part of your body, until there is no doubt left in you that you're mine."
Klaus bit his lip nervously. "Is taking you to my room dangerous?" he asked innocently.
King chuckled. "Yes," he answered bluntly. "But take me anyways."
Klaus took King to the house where everyone had gathered too, but mostly the residents were in their rooms, who were also getting cleaned up from the long day. King followed Klaus up the stairs into his bedroom, that was greatly more satisfying to be in, then them being in King's house. Nevertheless, there was an appeal to King's house. No one would disturb them there, and the more King thought about it, the more convinced he got to take Klaus away.
Klaus closed the door behind King and like that King's concentration shut off too. "You already know where the shower is," said Klaus. "You can use it first."
"Will you let me borrow your clothes again too?" asked King.
Klaus titled his head. "Is that what you want?" he asked back.
King grinned. "I wouldn't want it any other way," he said before he turned the light on to Klaus's bathroom. After he had entered, he called out for his little mate; "Klaus, where's the shampoo?"
Klaus came inside, idly following without thinking much. "Isn't it on the shelf?" he frowned as he joined King's side in the large white chamber. Klaus opened the glass door and pointed at the top shelf. "It's right there," he blinked at King.
"Oh, I must have missed it," King replied.
Klaus left without much thought again and started to dawdle near his study table. The door was left open and King realized that he was in the mood to play a little more. If he was going to give his mate the experience of the lifetime, then he needed to take advantage of every opportunity to teach Klaus.
King stripped off his suit's jacket, when his eyes trailed over to Klaus. King unbuttoned his shirt when an idea popped in his head. "Klaus, I need some help," he called out.
Klaus returned, looking at King. "What's wrong?" he had asked.
"I think my cufflink is stuck," King lied. "Can you-" King held up his wrist and displayed the chain cufflinks- "unhook it for me." King leaned back against the sink and brought Klaus closer too. Klaus's nimble fingers circled around King's thick wrist and he started to work around the cufflink. King was positive that Klaus didn't even realize that he was standing between King's legs and helping take King's shirt off.
"There," announced Klaus. King held up the other wrist. Klaus chuckled and aided with that one too. "All done," he said as he put the gold links on the marble counter.
King peeled the silk off his skin that was on fire, it definitely surprised Klaus, and King almost laughed at the colour that brightened Klaus's cheeks.
"Er- I'll leave you to it then," Klaus hurried out but he wasn't fast enough. King closed the door before Klaus could make it out in time.
"Uh-uh, not so fast," baited King.
King's strong hand held the door from opening and he caged Klaus against the door. Klaus stayed facing away from King but still King knew his mate, he knew that Klaus's green eyes glowed with confusion and arousal.
"Face me, Klaus," his low voice caressed Klaus's nape.
Although, Klaus was extremely shy around King, he didn't hesitate before he turned which amazed King. Klaus's eyes glistened remarkably, King's breath stopped in his throat the moment he saw the depth of those eyes, and how Klaus's lips were slightly parted like they were desperately waiting for King.
"Is this why you made me help you?" asked Klaus, but King didn't need to answer because Klaus got the answer from the mischief swimming in King's thrilling blue eyes. "How many times am I going to get tricked by you?" he leaned back on the door and King stepped closer because he didn't want any space between them.
"As long as it's with me, then I don't mind that you're easily tricked," said King, his voice pleased. King's gaze locked with the mark on Klaus's neck. "But I don't think I have to worry about others anymore, since I've marked you to me."
Klaus's hands went up to the mark, his fingers skimmed down his nape. "I didn't think you'd mark me," he said.
"Why not?" asked King, his gaze clearly on Klaus's lips now, that were still bruised from their classroom experiment.
Klaus's eyes softened to the point that it melted King. "I thought I'd have to convince you in some grand way," he jested.
Except it didn't feel like a joke to King. It seemed as if Klaus had doubted himself. However what Klaus didn't seem to understand was that King was the one who was the wrong choice for Klaus. Klaus needed a mate who wasn't tainted to the point of no return.
"How was someone like you chosen for me?" marvelled King. He put his hand around Klaus's nape. Their scent bloomed softly like the rose petals that surrounded his home during springtime.
Klaus stared into King's blazing blue eyes, that were a torrent of emotions. Confused, baffled and simply lost in the thought that King never deserved to find a mate like Klaus. Someone so sweet, so pure, who was nothing like the beast King was tortured to become.
"What do you mean?" asked Klaus, his brows furrowed.
King studied those green eyes that were concerned for a man that wasn't any less from a monster. "Don't look at me like you don't know what type of man I am," said King, his voice lashed with grief.
Klaus turned his head up into the light of the bathroom, the emerald of his eyes winked like the rich diamond itself, truly extraordinary. "I know what type of man you are," said Klaus. King's gut sank low into a hollow pit. "But despite that, I let you kiss me and more importantly mark me."
King's eyes refocused on the crook of Klaus's neck. "I had great joy doing both," he jested.
"I could tell," mumbled Klaus.
King inhaled deeply, taking in Klaus's scent and every essence too. "Klaus, I didn't mark you for possession or dominance...well, I did it for those too, but that is besides' the point," he said. "I marked you because I can't think of anyone else anymore. No one compares to you and never will and I know that in my heart and soul." King put his hand into Klaus's soft hair that he couldn't get enough of touching. "You can run from me, but I'll find you. You can deny this bond, but I'll spend my entire life convincing you, and most definitely, seducing you to be mine."
Klaus thought long and hard. "That sounds like a proposal," he remarked.
King couldn't hold it in. He laughed wholeheartedly. "Damn, what are you turning me into?"
"What did I do?" astounded Klaus.
"You really don't know what effect you have on me?" asked King honestly.
Klaus blinked blankly.
King hung his head low. He raked his hair and almost pushed Klaus onto the bed outside to show the ignorant man exactly what he did to King. "I want you on that bed, Klaus," said King. "All day and night, preferably naked."
"I- uh- I-" Klaus stumbled to find his voice- "I still have to make dinner though."
King chuckled. "Of course, I would never interfere with dinner plans," he remarked.
"Something tells me you're lying," said Klaus.
King was caught in his fib. "Don't worry," he reassured. "I won't do anything more than I already have." King kissed Klaus's cheek before he let the man go.
After King took a shower and Klaus took on too. King shrugged on the shirt, that was fitted and it had stretched to his broad shoulders. His muscular stature filled the cashmere, molding to the hard contours and the jeans were snug too. Klaus casually dressed in a blue flannel and simple track-pants, that really showed his youthful charm.
King wasn't too caught up in the family noise during dinner, because his own head was lost in the thoughts of his plans tonight, which had stolen his peace of mind. No matter how much King had escaped his past, it eventually found a way back to him. Being surrounded by a family like the Centauri pack, having a mate, bonding with Klaus and becoming a part of something greater with Gabriel, still hadn't stopped King from being who he truly was...a cold-blooded predator who took life without consequences.
