Chapter 1
"In the middle of the twoleg place lived a small black she-cat with one white paw and blue eyes. Her name was Bloom, and she was a kittypet." Shade, a dark gray she-cat meowed to her 4 kits.

"Bloom was abandoned by her parents when she was only a kit, and adopted by Rainswirl, a blue gray she-cat that was from ThunderClan, who gave up of her Clan life to take care of the kit."
"They where welcomed by a twoleg family, and Rainswirl had her name changed to Iris. Iris told Bloom many stories about the forest Clans and some about BloodClan."
"The story I'm going to tell you, my kits, happened moons ago, when Bloom was 18 moons old, and when her dark side started to rise..."

It was a cold winter morning, and a small black ball of fur lay curled on her nest. A blue gray she-cat padded to the small ball of fur and purred.
"Time to wake up." She purred as she nudged the black she-cat. The small cat yawned and opened her blue eyes. She stared and the blue gray she-cat and closed her eyes again.
The blue gray she-cat continued to nudge the smaller cat and she meowed "Come on, only 5 more minutes Iris." And then she opened her eyes.

"Bloom, it's already noon." Iris meowed, a little more serious. Bloom yawned and stretched, and then left her comfortable nest.
The black she-cat headed to the kitchen and found her bowls full of food and milk. She ate half of the food and took a few sips of milk. Bloom then sat in front the backyard's glass door and watched the snow fall.

She heard Iris' paw steps and looked at her. Bloom waited until Iris was by her side and asked "How do the clans survive to the cold weather and snow?"
Iris looked at the falling snow and meowed "It was always hard to survive during winter, many kits and elders died, and I'm sure that it hasn't changed. Prey is scarce during winter, so it's hard to hunt, but they always find a way to survive." She paused "Even if the workfolks destroy the forest, they'll survive."
Bloom didn't say anything, just stared at the snow that covered the trees and bushes. "Just one more thing." she meowed "Why did you leave ThunderClan to take care of me, even if I'm not your daughter?"
That hit Iris deep inside. She missed her clan life, but it was worth it. "Bloom, I left because they didn't want to take care of you. And remember, I'll always love you, and you'll always be my daughter." Iris meowed, a tear falling from her eye.
Bloom noticed that Iris was about to cry and licked her cheek. The blue she-cat licked Bloom's head and left to the living room, where their housefolks spent almost all the day.
She got a few more sips of milk and walked to the living room. Their housefolks where there. Their child, Alexia, a 14 year old girl, loved to stay with Bloom, and she did the same.
As Bloom entered the room, she headed to Alexia, that was sat on the floor, and lay by her side. She started to pet her head, and the small cat almost fell asleep.
After some minutes, Bloom got up and padded to the kitchen, and noticed that the backyard's door was open. She went to the backyard and stepped on the soft snow ground.
The small cat leapt onto the fence and watched the wind blow on the forest trees. The workfolks were starting to destroy the forest, and their giant cars teared the trees from the ground.
"You know you shouldn't be here." Iris' voice sounded behind Bloom. The black she-cat sighed.
"I know, but I wonder how it's like to live in the forest as a Clan cat." Bloom meowed "I don't want to spend my whole life stuck in here."
Iris stayed silent and leapt on the fence. "Do you want to hear a story?" The black she-cat nodded "This is the story of Scourge, the fearful BloodClan leader, and his mate."
"When I was an apprentice, about to become a warrior, I met a pregnant loner, and she told me a story. It was about how her and Scourge met and became mates."
"The she-cat's name was Jinx, and she was a loner that lived here in the city. One day Jinx was wondering around the city alleys, and was attacked by a group of BloodClan cats. The cats brought her to Scourge, and in the moment that Jinx saw the small leader she felt fear and another thing that she couldn't describe."
"Scourge felt the same when he first saw her, and asked if Jinx wanted to join BloodClan. Jinx accepted his offer, and as she didn't know how to hunt or fight, the small BloodClan leader started to give her fighting lessons. With time, they love for each other grew stronger and stronger, and Jinx became a high ranked warrior."

"Some moons before the great battle, Jinx discovered that she was pregnant with Scourge's kits. She didn't tell his mate about the kits, because she wanted to make him a surprise. When Scourge killed Tigerstar and said that in three days there would be a battle, Jinx told Scourge about the kits. As Jinx couldn't fight, and her kits where about to born, she stayed all day in BloodClan's camp in the forest."
"And one day, when she was exploring the forest on her own, I met her and she told me this story. At that time, when she told me the story, I thought it was only a tale about two cats, but then I realized it was about her and Scourge." Iris finished the story.
Bloom stared at the forest for a few more moments. "Do you think I'm related to Scourge or Jinx?" She asked. Iris was got by surprise.
"Of course not. Is that because of what the neighbors say about you?" The blue she-cat asked. Bloom nodded and Iris continued "Don't listen to them. In fact, I needed to talk to Dan and Liz."
Bloom touched Iris' shoulder with her nose and heard one of her housefolks call for them. The black she-cat jumped onto the snow covered grass, and entered her house. "Are you coming?" She meowed to Iris as she entered the house. She shook her head and Bloom left.
Sometimes Iris disappeared during the day, and Bloom always wandered where she went when she disappeared. But it wasn't the day to discover it. Her housefolks where calling for Bloom.
Bloom padded to the housefolks child's room and entered it. Alexia was there, and called for Bloom. The black she-cat leapt onto the bed, where the she was sat, using a thing called computer or laptop. The child started to pet Bloom's head, and she fell asleep.
The snow started to fall again, and Iris looked up. She still remembered exactly what happened the day that she found and adopted Bloom...
The forest was silent due to the battle that had just happened. LionClan had won the battle against BloodClan, and ThunderClan was heading to its camp. Rainswirl was among the cats. As they made it to camp, Cinderpelt treated the wounded warriors.
After she treated the cats with deep wounds, Cinderpelt examined Rainswirl and meowed "You have just some bleeding wounds." The medicine cat got some cobweb and pressed it onto Rainswirl's flank. The blue she-cat gave a thank meow to the gray medicine cat and padded to the warriors den.
Almost all the warriors where asleep, and only Longtail was still awake. Rainswirl greeted the cream tabby warrior, and he did the same. The blue she-cat laid down on her nest and closed her eyes, trying to get some sleep.
Even if she tried, Rainswirl couldn't sleep, because every time she closed her eyes she saw the dead body of Whitestorm, and blood everywhere. The blue warrior opened her eyes and sat up. Longtail was now asleep, and Graystripe was entering the den.
Before he could lay on his nest, Rainswirl meowed "Graystripe, I'm going hunting."
He nodded and meowed "Just take Littlebird with you." Rainswirl nodded and left the den. Littlebird was Rainswirl's sister. She had a silver tabby pelt, and Littlebird was smaller than Rainswirl. Rainswirl found Littlebird cleaning herself in the camp's clearing and called her.

"Graystripe wants you to go hunting with me." The blue warrior meowed, and Littlebird nodded, getting up and following Rainswirl through the gorse tunnel.
They headed to the sandy hollow, and near the clearing, Littlebird caught a mouse and buried it. They followed to Snakerocks, and on the way, Rainswirl caught a strange smell, and looked at Littlebird. Littlebird must have scented it too, because she nodded to her sister, and they started to follow the scent.
It was definitely a cat, not a clan cat, probably a rogue or a loner. As the sisters neared the scent, Rainswirl recognized the scent as a loner, that she once met as an apprentice. The blue warrior didn't remember the she-cat's name, but knew that she'd be in trouble if they found her.
Rainswirl's thoughts were interrupted by a squeak. She stopped and Littlebird meowed "What's wrong?" Rainswirl asked her sister to be quiet, and they heard the squeak again. The she-cats looked around and heard the sound coming from some bushes.
The blue warrior held her tail erect, and Littlebird stopped. Rainswirl walked slowly to the bushes and entered it. There she found a small black she-kit with one white paw. The kit really resembled Scourge. Rainswirl got the black kit by her scruff and walked back to her sister.
When Littlebird saw the kit in her sister's jaws, her eyes widened "We can't bring her back to camp!" The small warrior meowed quickly.
"It's just a kit Littlebird." Rainswirl defended the kit as she put her down "We don't even know if she is his kit. And we can't leave a kit to die!"
Littlebird looked down at the small kit and hissed "Just look at her! She has Scourge's size, pelt, and possibly eyes! She is a small version of Scourge!"
"You may be right." Rainswirl admitted "But she isn't evil, and if she joins the clan, she won't become evil!"
Littlebird sighed and meowed "Fine. If you say so. Let's just take her to camp." Rainswirl got the black she-kit in her jaws and brushed herself against her sister. They then headed back to camp.
As they entered the gorse tunnel, some warriors that were at the clearing stared at them, they're eyes huge with fear. Rainswirl knew it was because of the kit she was carrying, but she ignored the glances and padded to Firestar's den.
The blue warrior called for the leader and he answered "Come in, Rainswirl." She entered his den and found Firestar laying on his nest, facing the cave wall. When he turned around and saw the kit in Rainswirl's jaws his eyes widened with fear.
"I know that you are scared of her because she resembles Scourge, but she deserves another chance." The blue she-cat defended the kit.
Firestar took a deep breath and meowed "I'm sorry, but you'll have to put her back where you found her."
"What?" Rainswirl meowed, starting to get angry "Firestar, where is the cat that gave Bramblepaw and Tawnypaw a second chance, even though they are Tigerstar's kits?"
"It's complicated Rainswirl. Willowpelt can't look after another kit." The ginger leader sighed and looked at the kit.
"Then I can take care of her!" Rainswirl was angry now "Everyone deserves a second chance!"
"You may be right, but my answer is still no." He concluded.
"FINE!" The blue warrior growled "IF THIS KIT IS NOT STAYING, I WON'T STAY TOO!" and then she left the leader's den with the black she-kit in her jaws. Rainswirl followed through the gorse tunnel for the last time, and didn't look back to say goodbye to her old life.
Iris leapt from the fence, and landed near a bush, outside of the backyard. Iris sniffed the air. No trace of dogs or any cats. The blue cat padded slowly to the forest, and felt the warm forest scents around her.
It had been sometime since the last time she entered the forest. Iris dashed through the trees, and stopped at the sight of the workfolks giant cars. She crouched, and slowly crossed the giant cars path. After, the blue kittypet opened her mouth and recognized a familiar scent: Littlebird.
