Equinox and Solstice continued through the cave. Suddenly, Solstice's gem began to glow and her ears perked in alarm.

Equinox noticed rather quickly. "What is it?"

"We are being watched..." Solstice answered.

Equinox gulped and started to tremble.

Solstice rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Quit being a baby..." she mumbled. Her gem started to glow again. She looked to the right direction to see a Dark Pulse attack heading straight for her. She used Shadow Ball to counter the attack.

She turned to see Ace and Grim appear. "What are you doing here intruders? You don't belong here! Who are you to think you have the right to be in our home?" Ace asked.

"We have every right to be if you're a criminal. Put your paws up in the air. You are under arrest!"

Ace and Grim bursted out in laughter. "Who do you think you are the Starter Squad?"

"No! We're the Eevee Squad!" Solstice answered.

"The Eevee Squad? Isn't there already an Eeveelution Squad?" Grim asked.

"Yeah... But we're the Eevee Squad. It's a little different."

"Well it's close enough... You're not the Starter Squad so you either leave or we'll deal with you the hard way." Grim growled.

"We'll better than a bunch of Starters. We can easily take you down." Solstice replied.

"Oh... Is that so?!" Ace smirked. He leaped at them with a swipe of his claw, hitting Solstice in the left cheek, leaving a bloody scar on her cheek bone. She winced in pain but would never let her Guard down. Solstice used Dazzling Gleam. The attack blinded Grim and Ace for a moment. Equinox used this as an opportunity to attack with Dig followed by Mud-Slap.

Once Grim and Ace's vision returned and they managed to shake off as much mud from their faces as possible they glared at the two Eeveelutions and growled. Solstice and Equinox grinned in satisfaction. "We definitely got this.. These outlaws are not that tough. This proves that the Starter Squad are weak."

"You have some fight in you, I'll give you that but this ends here. Now the real battle begins. The battle to the death!!" Ace roared. Ace used Ice Punch on Equinox and Grim used Bite on Solstice at her gem and ripping it out of her forehead. Solstice screamed in agony before Ace used Night Slash to her chest, leaving a large gash. Solstice's body collapsed to the ground in a puddle of blood, motionless.

"SOLSTICE!!!" Equinox shouted in terror. He stared at Ace and Grim who was starting to pursue him. He backed up and was heading towards the door but Ace used Aerial Ace on him before he could escape and slams into him. The light in Equinox's eyes then vanished when he collapsed to the ground. Neither of them were able to escape with their lives.

"Goodnight!!" Ace growled.

"Guess we found our next meal without leaving the cave." Grim laughed.

"Indeed, we have..."
