We were on our way to go get supplies in the city from our rugged little camp out on the outskirts of said city. Which city it was, we weren't sure, we just knew it was safe and that was what mattered.  

I sat in the back of the pickup with Seb, Beck, and Tanner as Nathan drove with John in shotgun.  

We all had weapons and our makeshift armor in case of looters, but that was the only reason. There were zero Snatchers in the city because they had moved away from this one a long, long time ago. They hit the big cities and populations first and mainly, so this one (city I mean) had been long since forgotten. We hadn’t been taken back then because none of us were actually in the city when it happened.

Tanner and Nathan (who were twins) had been out in their house in the woods for hunting and when they came back they found the city completely empty. They didn’t panic unlike Beck apparently did, but instead they
