Danika's POV

"I can't believe this is our final year" Maya whined munching on her fries. Her black rimmed glasses sitting on her nose. Her dark hair splayed beautifully framing her face. Her warm brown eyes sparkled. One word. Beautiful. I rolled my eyes at her. But its not that I didn't think about it. Yes I was really sad too.

"We are going to be family soon duh" I stated with a bored expression. She turned red and played with her engagement ring giggling nervously. Maya and my brother were getting married next year after my and Damien's twenty third birthday. They have been together since highschool. It was the typical bad boy and good girl relationship. I had discovered , literally discovered that Maya had a huge crush on Damien since sixth grade. Damien was the 'popular' captain of the soccer team, sleeping around with girls and stuff. Maya was a quiet and conservative girl like me. And once they were allotted as project partners. And that's how it started. She changed my brother. Now Damien is not only head over heels for her but also follows her around like a lost puppy. He treats her like she is a delicate glass doll. As if she would crack at the slightest of touch. And my niece Liz is as adorable as Maya. They already did the dirty. And Liz, their one year old baby is just adorable. And ofcourse she is a mini Maya.

"Yeah, oh I am so excited. You have to be the maid of honour. After all we are sisters from different mothers". Maya said and winked at me. We have been best friends since I had saved her from Ashton.

"Yeah I know". I was interrupted by a kiss placed on my head. I ignored it and bit into the chocolate bar. Ah bliss !

" Danny !" Damien said in mock anger. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Bossing around eh?" I raised an eyebrow at him. Maya giggled as Damien kissed her forehead. I envied Damien because he had mum's bluish grey eyes and dad's brownish black hair. But mine were a dull greenish and I had mum's black hair.

"Don't forget I am older than you" he winked at me. I scowled at him. And both Maya and Damien laughed at me.

"Duh you're like ,what ,three minutes older than me. Now you can go and dump yourself in the bin" I scoffedd. It was now his turn to scowl.

" Hey beautiful" a familiar voice cooed. Ashton. His stormy grey eyes pierced into my dull grey ones. He dipped his head low and kissed me passionately. His minty breath teasing me. His touch sent tingles down my spine and I shivered involuntarily . Our kiss was soon interrupted by gagging noises. I wish Ashton would be like this always.

"Gross!" Harry and Chase exclaimed in unison. Both Maya and Ashton chuckled while Damien wisely ignored the situation. Damien still did not seem to believe that I fell for him after the incident.

"Wait till I catch you both kissing" I pointed accusingly at Harry and Chase. Harry pouted making Chase blush and ruffled his dark hair. They looked cute together. I blew a kiss to Ashton and walked towards the washroom.

"Danika Rose Anderson" a cold voice called from behind. I turned back to find the one and only Jemima Kelly. Fake as plastic and blonde as barbie.

"Oh the slut wants to talk to me? What a privilege" I said in mock excitement. She gritted her teeth. Her fake breasts rising with each breath she took , almost popping out of her bralette.

"Stay away from Ashton. He's mine ! He doesn't love you. You bitch !" she yelled in a shrill voice. I ignored her and splashed water in my face careful not to remove much makeup. I patted my face dry , fixed my makeup and turned towards her caked up face. I am sure the makeup weight more than her.

" In your dreams slut". I smirked. With that I turned and left her there fuming with anger. If only looks could kill. I would've died a thousand deaths by now.

"Hey babe ...I missed you. Everyone went to get fries. What took you so long ?" Ashton said and smirked. My baby.

"Oh I just happened to 'stumble' upon your slut of an ex girlfriend" I shrugged.

"I am glad I found you Danny" he left a lingering kiss in my hair and breathed in my scent.

"Ah vanilla and strawberries. My favourite" he said and I licked his jawbone playfully. He pulled back and tapped my nose and kissed me passionately.

I wish we could be like this forever. Just like Maya and Damien. We met when we were in highschool too. Damien and Ashton were in the opposite teams so Damien did not like him much. But when he came to know we were dating he gave him the 'if you hurt my sister' speech. Ashton was like a really bad boy taking drugs bullying others and sleeping with any creature called girl. He was even sent to jail a couple of times for getting into fights and taking drugs. But being the son of Marcos Ryan Davis he was bailed within hours .Maya happened to be one of his bullies and I was her saviour. Then all things changed when he raped me at a party. He was drunk. But fortunately Harry and Chase came in time. Then you can guess what happened. Ash was in the hospital for three days. When he came back Damien sent him again for about a week then. Damien had beaten the shit out of him. But then Ash apologized to him and me saying he would never lay a hand on me again. I however convinced my dad not to press any charges against him. Its weird but I started to fall for him more and more since then. We started hanging out often. Now it has been five years since that incident. And now I was bound to him. My Ashton. Nobody could ever take him away from me. He is mine.
