Rachel:
I open the door to the charming figure of Cam as he stands there in his formal black and white clothes. Quite an odd sight I realise, Cam usually just wears a loose pair of bordies and a loose sweatshirt.
"Hi Cam, come on in," I giddely say to him.
"Hi, sorry for suddenly turning up on your doorstep like this, but we really need to talk," Cam says in his usual charmarist way, only this time I can see a hint of regret in his Steely blue eyes.
I frown in confusion as he walks in, straightening his shirt as he does so. I close the old wooden door behind him and follow him into my lounge room. Cam sits in one armchair as I sit in the other, directly across from each other.
"So, what's up? What's so urgent that I sacrificed my beauty sleep for you?" I watch his expression as it turns from bright and happy to cold and serious. "I was just kidding about the last part..." I awkwardly laugh trying to make a joke but Cam's cold expression didn't change.
Ugh, I hate being so awkward around guys, especially guys like Cam with their mesmerizing cool blue eyes and their ripped, muscular body.......
"Sorry, go ahead," I awkwardly saw with a slight pink blush forming on my cheeks.
"Right..... well Rachel, there is something that I have to tell you & I'm..." Cam drifts off as he catches the stare coming from my father who is sitting silently behind me in the kitchen, he was so quiet I almost forgot he was there.
I follow Cam's gaxe over to where my dad is standing intentively behind me.
"Oh, hey dad! Sorry, I didn't realize that you were already awake," obviously I did but I had to make up a story so that Cam wouldn't get up and leave staright away.
I turn back to Cam only meeting his confused and slightly angered expression making his eyes glow in a weird way I realize.
"Sorry Cam, why don't we go out for lunch later on at the diner? Does 12 suit you?" I ask Cam hopefully, I would understand if he doesn't want to though.
"Yeah sure, that sounds great Rachel," I nod in affirmation as Cam stands up, patting his clothes down in the process. It really does seem weird Cam wearing very formal clothes on a Saturday....
I walk Cam out to the front porch.
"I'm so sorry for that, what you were going to say seemed important." I say sorrowfuly.
"Yeah, no problem, see you at 12." Cam says politely before turing around and gracefully walks down the creaking, wooden steps down the the pathway. I turn around after watching him peacefully walk down the road to his awaiting car to close the door.
I let out a large sigh of regret and relief after closing the door. My father obviously heard it as he starts walking towards me.
"Seriously dad, Cam must've really had to talk to me because he was pretty much shaking in his clothes when I opened the door," I say with a bit of harshness in my voice, although I wasn't meant to make it sound like that.
"I know, sorry hun. You better go up and get yourself ready for your meet up with him, this time I promise not to get in the way or anything else." This did actually happen once when I was on a date with my ex. He was sitting in a booth next to us and listening to everything we were saying before confronting him with steely cold eyes when he broke up with me.
"Yeah, you're right. Better be looking my best for Cam musn't I?" It was a rhetorical question but obviously my mum didn't realize as he opened her mouth to answer but before she could, I slipped around her and up the old stairs that lead to my bedroom, my parents bedroom and a small bathroom.
