begin.

The crimson star-shaped leaves detach from the big oak tree, slowly sinking down to the hard concrete like small red kites floating on a windy day.  It was the first day of autumn and the bright sun had already started to set, the edge, just touching the endless, dull horizon.

Noisy laughter boomed throughout the large park from young children playing on swing sets and play equipment. The splashing of water could be faintly heard in the distance from locals who thought it would be funny to throw small pebbles into the nearby fish ponds to scare the fish away. The strong smell of birthday cake filled the september air, as the children who filled this big park, eagerly crowded around a single wooden picnic table, singing a little boy a happy birthday song, the birthday boy then blowing out his colourful candles, shutting his small eyes, making his wish.

An affectionate 20 something year old named Taehyung, with soft light brown hair that fell ever so delicately, was admiring the cheerful event from afar. He wore a pale grey hoodie with a blue jean jacket over it, ripped black jeans and worn out black boots that came to the top of his bony ankles. He was sitting on a nearby park bench next to the beautifully shedding oak tree, reading the daily newspaper from this morning, taking in the contagious happy aura that was produced from the joyed children of the park, as he smiled to himself contently, tapping his foot in complete amusement.

Taehyung flicks through the newspaper swiftly, when something catches his careful eye, he stops flicking suddenly to look at a specific page and his smile fades. 'MURDER STRIKES AGAIN,' reads the urgent article in alarming bold, black letters. Below the title, displayed a confronting  image of a dead woman who looks to have been brutally stabbed in her chest and then set on fire due to the her raw burnt skin and stab marks across her chest. Taehyung cringed at this unsettling image, it was unbearable to see someone violently stabbed to point of death. His blood began to boil vigorously and his insides started turn rapidly. Taehyung's fists clenching onto the pages of the newspaper tightly in sympathy towards the deceased woman and in anger towards the evil psychopath that committed numerous murders carelessly.

-

The circular, bittersweet sun had finally descended down the horizon completely, and the happy laughter that was once there, eventually faded, the darkness taking over completely, dwelling beneath the delicate, white moonlight,  as streetlights illuminate the dark roads and paths ahead.

"Another round over here!" Jungkook demands, raising two fingers to signal the occupied bartender for another shot of tequila, which happened to be for someone other than himself.

Jungkook, a mysterious, strange man with silky black hair that peeked out underneath his black hoodie was sitting beside a very tipsy, intoxicated Taehyung, drinking away all the problems he faced in life, finding almost anything hilarious or offensive.

Taehyung sits in a well-known bar that he visits often, laughing and chatting to a complete stranger, he had never met before on his left. Due to the heavy overdose of strong alcohol that ran through his system, he found the stranger beside him to be quite funny and maybe even a little bit attractive, not caring one bit for his surroundings or how he would react if he was sober.

"There you go," The bartender affirms with a annoyed sigh from having to repeatedly place down shots for Jungkook, placing a tequila filled shot onto the marble counter In front of Jungkook. Jungkook, who was facing Taehyung fully, had a firm hold on the back of Taehyung's bar stool, grabbing the glass of liquid full of fun, pushing it along the counter towards Taehyung's vision.

"Drink up, Handsome," Jungkook smirks, staring deeply into the drunk boy's eyes, amused by the situation.  As soon as the alcohol appeared in Taehyung's view, he wastes no time, downing the cup in seconds, the strong clear liquid pouring down his throat giving him an indescribable burning sensation within, he then slamming the shot glass back onto the counter firmly, sighing in relief feeling mildly satisfied, although his constant thirst is still not quenched.

"Well damn, you sure know how to drink. This is like what? Your seventh shot now?" Jungkook lightly chuckles, though he was the one calling the shots, raising one eyebrow while grinning. He personally found it wildly entertaining that Taehyung was downing these strong shots as if it was just plain water.

"Oh, you think this is impressive? This-This is nothing, I'll show you impr-" before Taehyung could finish the arrogant sentence, the ten shots of alcohol he mindlessly took beforehand, came back up suddenly from his stomach and out of his mouth, landing half on Jungkook's shoes, and the other half on the ground. After doing so, Taehyung started to breathe heavily, receiving mild pain in his head, then resulting in clenching onto Jungkook's loose sleeves for balance and taking a minute for himself to calm down, while keeping his head hung low, crouching down queasily. Jungkook, who showed no emotion or reaction whatsoever to the current situation, was latching onto Taehyung's elbows to keep his body stable, staring blankly, not seeming to care one bit for his clean shoes that had just got ruined.

"Hey, maybe you should take him home, he doesn't look so good" The bartender who was polishing a cup with a tea towel says clearly concerned and annoyed with the fact that he has a disgusting mess to clean now. The bartender had automatically assumed that Jungkook was a close friend or relative to Taehyung, seeing the sight of Taehyung latching onto Jungkook.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it. We'll be out of your way" Jungkook smiled mischievously, knowing all the pieces to his puzzle were going right into place. The fact that Jungkook agreed a bit too easily, didn't sit right in the bartender's gut, but nonetheless let them go.

Jungkook helps Taehyung to stand upright, keeping his body stable and putting Taehyung's arm over his shoulder, leading him carefully out of the bar.

At this moment, Taehyung's friend, Min-jae, enters the bar swiftly, wearing a long burgundy coat, button up white shirt, black jeans and brown shiny dress shoes. His eyes immediately examine the current situation before him, an unfamiliar stranger holding an intoxicated Taehyung, leading him out of the bar. A feeling of worry, confusion and just a tad bit of jealousy washes over Min-jae, as he scurries straight to Taehyung, ignoring the stranger holding his friend.

"Taehyung? Are you okay?" Min-jae blurts, holding onto Taehyung's shoulder, examining his giddily drunk state, checking his body for any other problems that could potentially cause his friend harm.

Taehyung, who was almost at the point of unconsciousness, drunkenly giggles at Min-jae before his heavy head meets gravity. His chin dropping down to his chest and his body becoming limp, giving Jungkook more of a challenge to hold up his unconscious body.

"And just who might you be?" Jungkook questions immediately, not too fond of the fact that something is preventing him from getting out of the bar. Jungkook's grip on Taehyung suddenly tightens, slightly pulling him away from the unfamiliar man beside Taehyung.

Min-jae, who's full attention was on a very drunk Taehyung, turns his head to acknowledge the stranger on his left, who was talking to him. Min-jae, squinting his eyes in judgement, "Shouldn't I be asking you the same question?"

"Don't try and twist my words. I asked you first. Who are you?" Jungkook questions once more, clearly agitated and not in the mood.

"I don't need to answer you," Min-jae replies smugly. "Now, let go of my friend," He forces, grabbing into Taehyung's arm, pulling him away.

"You better get your hands off or-" Jungkook replies in the same harsh tone Min-jae used, getting cut off in mid sentence as he pulls Taehyung away from Min-jae's reach.

"Or what?" Min-jae challenges, clearly annoyed by this rude person, who had a hold of his friend, raising one eyebrow and crossing his arms with attitude.

"Or you won't have hands in a second," Jungkook warns in a daunting tone, while giving him a deadly glare, irritated that this person is wasting his precious time. The harsh words that spat out of Jungkook's mouth weren't actually intentional, but were used as a threat, to pass by the stubborn man that blocked his way.

"You must really be deranged," Min-jae spits, his eyes wide in shock from unintentional threats that slipped from the arrogant being before him, whom he had never met before.

"Yeah, and there's a hell lot more where that came from, so I suggest you keep out of my goddamn way" Jungkook cautioned, raising his voice tightly holding onto Taehyung's torso. "Now, move," He continues blatantly, beginning to walk out of the bar, shoving past Min-jae's shoulder while doing so.

"And just where do you plan on taking him?" Min-jae asks, turning around to face Jungkook who was already near the exit. "I swear if you're as demented as you seem, just leave now, without him," He addresses for the safety of his friend, stopping the two from walking out the door.

"I'm only taking him home," Jungkook assures, turning his head to Min-jae. "And this is none of your business anyway. So you should just get back to whatever you were going to do here, get drunk, hit on uninterested women, do whatever your heart desires, I don't care, just leave us out of it," Jungkook added, before turning back to the exit while holding drunk Taehyung.

-

Jungkook, now frustrated by the sharp pain in his arm from the extra body he was carrying, grabs his keys that were in his back pocket, struggling to do so, but managing in the end, unlocking the car and placing Taehyung into the passenger seat, hovering over his body to buckle Taehyung's seat belt. "You smell nice, Min-jae..." Taehyung mumbles into Jungkook's ear, smiling cheekily with his eyes shut, his breath reeking of strong alcohol. Jungkook flinches at his sudden words and the smell of alcohol, quickly retracting to his standing position, closing the door shut.

Jungkook, not wanting to waste anymore time, walks over quickly to the drivers side, starting to realise how much trouble he is going through, clearly annoyed, he slightly widens his eyes, mumbling under his breath "This better be damn worth it".

-

Jungkook, hands on the wheel, carefully observing the lonely road ahead, began to create dark, macabre scenarios throughout his mind, grinning inexplicably. But due to Taehyung's occasional, careless mumbling, Jungkook's dark thoughts shatter and his jaw clenches and his lips become thinner, turning his slightly irritated mood into pure anger.

"Min-jae, let's play a fun game. How does that sound?" Taehyung mutters indistinctly to someone who did not happen to be his best mate Min-jae, while resting his head lazily upon his own shoulder. Jungkook tightens his grip on the steering wheel, his face beginning to redden, his eyebrows pulling down and almost meeting, while biting down hard on his lower lip, so hard, that blood was about to be drawn due to the anger and rage he was trying to contain from hearing an endless sequence of infuriating, provoking, condescending comments that flew out of this foolish drunk's mouth and the fact of not knowing who the hell Min-jae even is.

"Hey. Hey Minjae? Min-jae...I love you, you know that? You're a great friend Min-jae. That's why I love you Min-jae..." Taehyung slurred, giggling shortly after. But It was this sentence in particular that really sent Jungkook over the edge. Nothing annoyed him more than someone who won't just shut the hell up when they need to. Jungkook then slams on the brakes suddenly, causing Taehyung's head to hit the headrest and his closed eyes to open groggily, the sudden movement causing this drunken man to slightly come back to his senses as he examines his whereabouts.

"Where are we going?" Taehyung observed, looking around at the unfamiliar road and streets before him, but not at the stranger beside him that wasn't Min-jae.

"Home." Jungkook answered bluntly, in a monotone, his attention dedicated to the road ahead.

"Well, it looks like you're going the wrong way," Taehyung corrects, knowing inside, that he was nowhere near his home.

"Don't worry, we're still going to your house, I'm just taking the long way," Jungkook assured easily.

Taehyung, slightly hesitant, but too tired and not bothered to respond, falls asleep, believing Jungkook's excuse, assuming that Jungkook was his friend Min-jae.

Jungkook, not believing he just got away with that, silently thanks the lord's above for Taehyung's unconsciousness, knowing that Taehyung had finally been silenced and he finally had him right in the palm of his hand. Although his plan was successful, he still had his doubts about Taehyung's annoying friend at the bar who wouldn't keep his mouth shut.

Jungkook pulls up into a small, concrete driveway in the middle of the pitch-black forest along with a run-down, unlit house in full view. Despite the white moonlight, only a single, flickering light illuminated the cold, dark night that swallowed them.

-

Taehyung's puffy eyes open slowly to the brisk morning seeping through the small window. His tired body affected by a massive hangover, awakens from the unbearable pain he was experiencing deep throughout his head. As if someone had just hit him exceedingly hard in the head, knocking him out cold.

He looks at the unfamiliar ceiling above him, his fingers feeling the texture of the bed sheets beneath his body, striving to recall the embarrassing events from the night before. The last thing he remembered being ordering his first shot of the night at the bar he visited often, wondering if he recalled these events, he would know why he is in a bed other than his own. All he could taste was the disgusting old liquor in his mouth from the previous night. Beginning to crave a cool glass of water for his extremely dry throat and mouth. Taehyung cringes while swallowing dryly and attempting to lift his arm up to massage his temples to ease the pain of his headache.

As he lifts his arm, it stops half way, as if it is somehow restricted, like something is pulling his arm down, preventing him from touching his face. Taehyung narrows his eyebrows in complete confusion as he looks down at his debilitated arm.

Around his wrists revealed thick metal cuffs, that were connected to strong, mighty chains, the same were around both his ankles. Taehyung's frightened eyes widen in shock and terror, as he squirms, pulling hard on the chains, but they wouldn't budge, they were too strong for him to handle.

Numerous thoughts fill his fragile mind as he tries to remember what the hell even happened last night. Why am I here? Who did this to me? He questions to himself, breathing heavily and starting to panic.

The sounds that Taehyung created suddenly stop, he freezes in his place, a wave of confusion and fear washing over his body. He wasn't alone, there was someone else in the room. He could hear it, he could hear someone breathing, someone fidgeting with fabric, someone near his feet, someone at the end of the bed he lies upon.

Taehyung takes a deep breath, trying to build up the courage to look towards the end of the bed. Whoever it may be, could have the answers to all his unanswered questions and worries, whoever it may be, already knows that he is awake and hasn't reacted at all. Taehyung slowly, but steadily lifts his torso up, his heart pounding loudly beneath his chest, it getting faster and louder by the second wasn't helping his internal fear.

Before Taehyung, sits Jungkook, the mysterious, strange man from the bar that took Taehyung home, coldly sitting at the end of the bed that Taehyung lies on. His grey trousers hanging loosely around his waist as well as his bare back and symmetrical shoulder blades facing Taehyung, as he slides a clean tea towel along a newly blood covered knife. Cleaning it slowly and carefully, leaving the tea towel dark red in colour and the knife shiny and polished.
