Chapter Twenty-Nine

There was a loud boom as the boy crashed into the road running through the small town. The asphalt caved in under the boy and shards blasted into the air. The speeding pieces of rock crashed through the surrounding buildings' widows and caused multiple car alarms to sound off.

Uraraka turned around at the sound and saw a crater containing Izuku, but before she could run towards the boy, Dakyoi landed feet from the indention and looked down at Deku. Blood flowed out the man's broken nose and down his chin. The crimson soaked into his thick, bushy black beard and even a few drops fell onto the man's shirt. Dakyoi removed his long jacket and tossed it onto the road."I'm beginning to grow tired of this little game we have played for years Midoryia. We have a battle, but neither of us has ever gone all the way and taken the others life, but I'll change that tonight."

The man walked down the hole that contained Izuku and kicked rubble down onto the boy. Dakyoi towered over Izuku who still lied on the ground, and placed a heavy black boot on the boy's chest and pushed down."It seems that it will take a little more than a few punched and burns to kill you today," muttered the man as he reached behind his head. The man then drew his long sword and held the sharp edge of the blade against Midoryia's cheek. The man applied a hint of force to the blade and a cut appeared across Izuku's freckled cheek.

Midoryia struggled to see due to the blood dripping into his eyes and could only make out the edges of Dakyoi's figure. The tall man raised his blade above Izuku and thrusted the blade down. Deku caught the blade between his bare hands and focused on the man standing over him. The boy tried to direct the blade into the ground, but Dakyoi won the stalemate and plunged the sword into Izuku's left shoulder. The boy yelled in pain, but the man trying to take his life had not finished just yet. Dakyoi kept his hand wrapped around his sword's leather hilt and a familiar dark glow began to emit from the man's hand, and the blade ignited into the same dark flame used by the man earlier.

Izuku began to slowly stand to his feet, and with each inch he rose, the blade only drove deeper into him. Dakyoi's eyes widened in shock as the boy kept on moving up despite the immense pain he was experiencing. Saliva dripped out the boy's mouth and Izuku grunted as he made it to his feet. Izuku then placed his right hand around the man's blade."You're not fighting the same cowardly boy." Midoryia then wrapped his hand around Dakyoi's and let out an agonizing yell as he forced the blade out of his shoulder. Izuku then pulled his right fist back and propelled it into the abdomen of his opponent. The blow sent Dakyoi out of the hole and flying into a car.

Izuku stepped out of the crater and glared at the man laying on the dented, red car. Ochaco looked at the boy and lost her breath. She could see it in Izuku, he walked with murderous intentions. The boy's nose was crinkled in anger and his eyes had lost their beautiful green, now they were a terrifying purple. She could always look him in the eyes and tell he cared about people, but now all that resided inside his irises was anger.

.....

"Get Up !" The boy grabbed Dakyoi by the collar of his shirt and slammed the man into the ground."This is what you wanted right; to see me pissed off !" The boy then grabbed the man by the belt and tossed him through a cafe's wall."My emotions were my weakness, that's what you always told me." The boy walked through the crumbled wall and picked up Dakyoi.

The man looked at the boy and spat in his face."They are."

Izuku responded by throwing the man through the restaurant's wooden counter. The pots and pans hanging above the dark-haired man fell and clanged on the tile floor. Dakyoi spat out a loose tooth and picked up one of the cast iron skillets than rested in front of him. The man then threw it at Deku, but the boy smashed the metal object with his fist. The boy kicked the man in the chest before he could stand up.

Dakyoi was sent flying through the metal barrier behind him and into the cafe's kitchen. The man flipped over a long iron table and onto the ground. The man rolled onto his feet and ducked out of the way as Izuku threw a powerful over hand right. The punch whiffed and Dakyoi countered by grabbing a sharp blade resting by the sink and stabbing it into Izuku's chest. The man then pushed the blade deeper into Izuku's cavity, but the boy was not fazed by it, the attack only seemed to infuriate him.

Izuku snarled at the man and grabbed a handful of the man's long, black hair. The boy then slammed the man's skull into his knee and tossed the man back into the dinning area of the cafe. As the messy-haired boy marched towards Dakyoi, he ripped the blade from his chest and dropped it onto the ground.

Dakyoi picked up a wooden chair and took a swing at Izuku, but the boy caught it and ripped two of its leg of. Deku then stabbed the sharp broken edges into Dakyoi's gut. The boy kept his hands on the wooden legs and drove his former teacher through the restaurant's glass window. but before they were out Dakyoi grabbed something off a table and slipped it into his back pocket.

.....

Izuku raised Dakyoi into the air and slammed the man onto the wet road. The wood driven into the man broke from the impact and blood spewed from Dakyoi's mouth."You always told me I was too kind to take a life."

The bearded man laying on ground looked up at Izuku and admitted,"You have embraced the darkness inside of you, but I know you Midoryia. You're not going to take my life, and we will repeat our battles for the rest of time."

"That's where you're wrong, you went after something precious to me, and that can not be forgiven." The boy then picked up Dakyoi and pulled his fist back. The dull-eyed man smiled at Izuku as he prepared to kill the man, and the boy couldn't figure out why. But then there was a cry.

"Deku !"

The boy's head snapped back and he looked at the girl behind him. Ochaco's eyes were wet with tears and her breaths were rushed. As the boy looked at the girl, his eyes began to grow softer, and the anger stricken expression across his face began to dissipate."Y-You can't kill him."

Dakyoi smirked as he heard the girl."That girl and all the people here are terrified of you Midoryia, just like your mother was that fateful night. You are the man they fear, not me !" Dakyoi then felt the grasp on him loosening."The one you wish to protect is afraid of the real you, the darkness that's inside of you."

Dakyoi then slowly slid his hand behind his back."To think you embraced your inner demons for their sake just to be ostracized by them. Have you finally understood the truth about humanity ? They shunned you when you were powerless, and now that you're one of the strongest men alive they fear you."

Uraraka placed one of her  hands on Izuku's bloodied cheek and tears began to stream out her eyes."I-If you..t-take his life, t-than I'll lose you forever."

As the boy looked into her eyes he remembered the promise he made to her. He told her he wouldn't leave her ever again. The boy's grip on Dakyoi then failed as he looked at the girl.

Dakyoi pulled the blade from his pocket and yelled,"Like I told you, those emotions of yours will always fail you !" The man then threw the blade at Ochaco.

.....

Izuku's eyes once again flashed a dark purple and he caught the blade inches from the girl's stomach."I'm sorry," was all the boy could whisper before turning around to face the man who attempted to take Uraraka's life.

Izuku pulled his fist back and punched his fist through Dakyoi's chest. Blood leaked out the man's mouth as he gasped in shock."I-If you kill me...than you will unleash an evil on this world that is unimaginable."

Izuku locked eyes with the man and coldly responded,"I'll kill them too.", as he crushed the man's heart in his bare hand. Seconds later there was an explosion of darkness that propelled Izuku across the street.
