Chapter 3: Leaving

Magic's Point of View

I stuff the few things I have into my inventory. I go through my short list of things. 'Fang, and food.' I look around for Fang but I can't find him anywhere. "Fang, I'm leaving you if you don't get here now!" I smile to myself as I hear the slight sound of flapping wings. I make my own way to the front trapdoor.

Fang hangs upside down, beside our exit. I grab him and put the tiny friend inside his pouch and take one last look at my home I've spent my whole life in. I remember al those memories with just Fang and I. I take my last breath in my home and open the trapdoor and leave.

The fresh night air washes over me lie a wave as I enter the wilderness. I take a quick look around me, looking for any signs of people or enemies. When I'm sure I'll be safe,  head towards the biome away from the armies, away from that player, and away from everything I've known in my life. This where I start from scratch, all on my own.

But I don't exactly start off on a good note.

I end up being chased by multiple creepers in the forest, zombies and skeletons on my tail. Too many of them were after me so I couldn't find the time to turn and blow them to bits. 'How could they sense me so fast from such far distances?' I wondered as more mobs joined the pack that followed me.

But I couldn't ponder the thought for long though, because I had to find a way to travel peacefully first. Those mobs would just get in the way and attract attention to me. I also have to stop by a village to make a few last trades before I can really leave this part of the world.

I take several deep breaths as I sprint quite a bit away from the mobs that had accumulated behind me. It still made me curious as to how they knew I was here when I was so far from sensing distance. But I had to make them go away, no matter what.

When I'd finally gotten far ahead of them, I turned around and created a giant green flame ball that when thrown, kills everything in its path as well as everything in a 5 block radius around it. Once it reached its target, there was a loud explosion, then nothing.

I looked at where the monsters once were but nothing was left but a crater of blocks. Man, I love using that technique but I couldn't use it too many times, otherwise I'd pass out of exhaustion and small power level.

After I caught my breath again, I continued my hike to the village. I'd reach it about a minute or so because it wasn't that far from my old home. I pet Fang, who's in my pocket, for comfort as well as the ability of night vision.

But what I saw when I arrived at the village was something I wasn't prepared for, much less the villagers.

I watched in horror from the woods as I saw the villager's actual village being raided by two people known very well. People known across all of Minecraftia. People known as Ian, a.k.a Ssundee, and Lanceypooh.

Anger seeped through my vains as I saw them run around and capturing villagers. They were fleeing in fright but they couldn't get away because they were caught in nets as if they were...animals. It was wretched. Inside my head, my conscience was screaming for me to move and help them but I was frozen in place. For some reason, I had the weird feeling of deja vu.

But of course, I couldn't have been in the same situation. I can't recall anything like this so it couldn't have happened to me, could it?

I shook the weird thoughts in my head and forced my body to move and help the villagers. But of course, I was too late. Life just wants to make things complicated for me, doesn't it?

By the time I reached the clearing where village used to be, only left-behind villagers remained. A few nets lay on the ground with some villagers stuck inside. I helped the villagers as best as I could, freeing them from the nets and helping the injured. Once everyone was okay, I asked how the disaster happened.

The village's mayor, Trader Sahjan, was the one i spoke the most to. He's an old business trader friend of mine and I wanted to help him as much as I could. He helped me many times by giving me things to 'borrow forever'. He's a great friend who needed my help.

"Sahjan, how did this happen?" I asked as I looked at the suddenly barren landscape. Villagers littered the empty grounds with no home. Sahjan replied in a sad voice. "They came in a flying ship, yes they did. They robbed us of our tresure, our home, and most importantly, our families. Yes they did, yes they did..." He ended up whispering at the end of his sentence and I put a comforting hand on his back.

"You lost you wife, as well as your newborne child?" I asked gently and it took all of his strength to nod his head in reply. I looked around again and realised that indeed, many villagers were missing. I patted him, trying everything I could to comfort my sad partner. But of course, nothing could really make up for his loss tonight.

That's when I decided that I've got a mission to accomplish. "Sahjan," I say and he looks up at me. "I promise to bring back your family as well as your village if that's what it takes to make you happy." I said, tears threatening to drop. I had a feeling of deja vu again, and this time stronger. Had this happened to me before. Is that why I'm feeling like this?

But, again, my thoughts were inturrupted by Sahjan's 'thank you's' and praises for my bravery. I smiled at the villager. "Anything for a friend." I said, pushing the tears away as well as the akward feeling of remembering a long lost memory.

"Hey everyone," Sahjan called out to the other saddened villagers. "Magic has come to save our village!" Everyone 'hurrah-ed' and 'hurray-ed' and I smiled again. So this is what it's like to be nice to people...

But it was still night time and monsters were still lurking around. I didn't carry much wood with me 'cause I lived in a cave so I couldn't build them a house to live in right at the moment. So instead, I told all the villagers to follow me. I brought them to my old house and said that they could stay there until I came back with the village and their families.

"Thank you so much Magic. I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate this. Yes we do, Yes we do." He said happily as the last of the villagers entered my old home. I put a hand on his shoulder and comforted him. "I'll do anything for people like you." I said. This villager helped me live and I am forever debted to him for that.

He sends me smile and we give each other our good-bye hugs and farewells. He enters my old home and closes the trapdoor, hiding them safely from most prying eyes. I take a deep breath a sigh. I'm starting a new journey.

The first stop I'll have to make is a stop at a special witch I know. She lives a few days away from here. Her potions are very helpful and she also holds secret information about one of the best diamondsmiths in all of Minecraftia as well as how to find a very special man who specializes in weaponry. I'll need these if I want to infiltrate that castle.

And I will suceed.

Seto's Point of View

I've packed everything I have from my tower and I'm ready to leave. I have no happy memories here so I might as well melt the place down. I don't want the team coming after me so I'll leave a message for them to read instead. But it probably won't matter 'cause I'm not part of their so-called family anymore.

I pull out a few buckets of lava and place it on the roof. Soon, all that will be left here is a huge pillar of lava with nothing under it because it's specialized lava. It will burn my whole stone tower to the ground.

After the lava's down, I use one of my last few ender pearls to get down from the roof. I place down to dirt blocks, one on top of the other. Then on the top block, I place a sign. That sign read:

No point in looking for me

I'm long gone

Goodbye

They don't need to know what I'm doing other than that I'm gone for good. When I look back at what I've done, it looks like it'll do fine. I turn around and face the blank, dark, wilderness before me. Now, I'm on a new journey. A journey to find someone who understands me.

A journey to a sorcerer's past.

I'm so far away from my burnt home that I can't even recognise anything here anymore. I walk around, hoping for a sign that could show me that the girl's been here before. I have a few tracking potions that I created but i don't want to waste them.

But after a few hours of walking alone, I'm starting to think that it's hopeless. I mean, how am I supposed to find one girl in this gigantic world that hasn't even been fully mapped out yet?

But my doubt dissapears as soon as I see a trapdoor. I'd been walking around the same perimeter without noticing it. They hid it really well which is everything that I expect from a hidden sorcerer like her.

Sorcerers have a clear smell to themselves just like their their fire reflects their personality. Only sorcerers can smell other sorcerers. Normal players don't have the adaptation to smell us. For example, I smell like lavender and my fire is purple because I'm the shy, lonely type. Huh, no wonder my friends left me.

I walk over to the trapdoor, listening for anything inside. But what comes to my ears isn't something I was expecting. Instead of hearing a girl's voice, I hear several villagers talking amongst themselves. I didn't know villagers lived in caves. I thought they lived in villages but there aren't any around her, as far as I've seen.

But the girl must be here somewhere because I can smell her very clearly. I don't really think there's much other choices than to ask really. Plus, I'm also curious as to why there are villagers there. It's very peculiar indeed.

I open the trapdoor and the voices inside suddenly stop. Oops, maybe I should've knocked.

But my curiosity pushes me forward. I get inside where there's several villagers. They all stare at me and I stare back. Um, yeah. probably not the best situation in the world.

"Uh, hi?"
