Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It

"Where have you two been?" Infelix questioned Anti and Dark with a small frown once they arrived and sat down at the round conference table.

"Just walking around, Dark wanted to show me all the tunnels." Anti lied with a shrug, his expression nonchalant.

"Weird, but alright." Infelix shrugged back, seeming satisfied with the answer as he lightly tossed a manila folder onto the table. Anti grabbed it first so he could scan its contents, earning a slight scowl from Dark that he ignored.

Inside was a picture of a man dressed in a light gray business suit with short, fringed, raven black hair and forest green eyes. There was also a copy of his work schedule for the company he worked at, as well as his personal info like his address and family. He had one fourteen year old son that had buzz cut sandy blonde hair and forest green eyes like his dad.

"Alexander Rodriguez, soon to be dead millionaire and worker at Google. Client wants him dead in exchange for three million dollars." Infelix clasped his hands together, resting them on the table.

"And the client is?" Dark snatched the file from Anti, earning a pouty frown that made Dark smile for a brief second when Infelix wasn't looking before he quickly replaced it with his usual serious expression.

Anti felt a flash of triumph for making Dark smile since he almost rarely did.

"Technically it's supposed to be confidential, but frankly I don't care if you two know since you're part of the mission. The client is the bitchy ex-wife Joanna that wants the kid Jake in her custody, as well as the crap ton of money he'll leave behind. She went to court and lost, so she's wanting to take him and the money the fun way." Infelix stated.

"You sure we should do this?" Anti spoke, his tone tinged with doubt.

"Listen Anti, here's a crash course of the rules since you're new and don't know anything. Rule one: don't question the client. Rule two: don't fuck up the mission. Rule three: never bail no matter what, even if the cops show up and take us all to jail. Otherwise I will personally track your ass down and make you pay. Got it?" Infelix snapped impatiently at Anti.

Silently Anti nodded, his teeth gritted and fingers curled into tight fists at his side as he resisted the urge to punch Infelix's egotistical face in. This wasn't the first time he wanted to either since Infelix easily got onto his nerves.

"Good. Pack your things, we're flying out to Florida to Alexander's vacation beach house where he's staying for a couple months with his son." Infelix waved his hand dismissively at the two.

There wasn't much to pack since all of Anti's belongings were home, which he could never go back to. He kept his phone Dark gave him in his pocket, as well as the small silver pistol he used to kill his father. He also kept the pocketknife that used to belong to Billy and concealed it in the sleeve of his suit.

The green contacts were part of his uniform like his black suit and green tie that he almost always wore. The only time he took either of hem off was when he would sleep, which was not as often as he used to back home.

"You ready?" Dark asked Anti, not glancing up from the AK-47 he was dismantling so he could clean it before putting it back together. He made it look as easy as building a Lego set.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Anti admitted, hesitant about doing the mission. He still didn't think what they were doing was right, especially since he would be possibly ruining a kid's life by taking his dad away.

I'm one to judge, I literally murdered my father and Billy, Anti thought.

"Meet me in the jet when you two are ready." Infelix yelled at them as he slung a sniper rifle over his shoulder and slid on a pair of brass knuckles before walking off.

"How did he fit a jet in here?" Anti wondered aloud as he and Dark followed Anti once they made sure they had everything they could possibly need.

"He didn't. There's a hangar with a retractable roof full of vehicles that we keep near here." Dark explained as they climbed the ladder to get out of the tunnels that was to the right of where they slept.

Dark moved the manhole cover and helped Anti up before sliding it back into place. They were on the outskirts of the capital in the middle of a street, but no one was out since it was in the evening.

Anti hadn't seen a sunset since he lived at home, which felt like years ago, but in reality was yesterday. It was hard to believe how much time had passed while they played video games and got briefed on Anti's first actual mission with the group.

"Woah!" Anti exclaimed, his eyes widening in awe as he stepped into the hangar. A large variety of motorcycles, four wheelers, jeeps, and everything else in between was peppered throughout the spacious, light gray, metal hangar.

"Guy who owns the hangar owes me a favor since his wife got a death sentence in Africa." Infelix gestured around him from where he was standing by the black jet.

"Did you save her?" Anti asked, running a hand across the hood of a sleek black Corvette.

"Oh no, I ensured it." Infelix grinned manically as the ramp of the jet lowered so they could enter.

"Good, the gang's all here." Mad remarked as the ramp rose back up once everyone was inside.

"Florida here we come!" Infelix cheered  as he flopped down into a seat and grabbed a bottle of beer from the mini bar, offering one to Dark and Anti once they were seated.

Both of them shook their head no.

Infelix drank until he passed out while Dark whipped out a portable gaming device and started playing. He would occasionally pass it to Anti so he could play too, which Anti greatly appreciated since there wasn't much to do.

Once they both got bored, they pressed a button on the side of their chairs that allowed them to recline back.

"Goodnight Dark." Anti whispered to Dark.

"Goodnight Anti." Dark flashed Anti a small smile before he rolled over. A few moments later, he heard him lightly snore.

Anti stared up at the ceiling, feeling a sense of complete happiness he didn't understand before his eyes finally drooped shut, darkness taking over his vision.
