"I don't know if you still remember Korn, Kimhan's father. During the last period of his lifetime he tried to change the methods of his family to become less bloodthirsty without losing efficiency. My dad secretly praised him for that, since apparently he actually managed to get more money with that strategy" Thanthai started explaining. Charn sat more comfortably in the armchair and signaled him to continue as the young guy stopped talking.

"His son, Kimhan, managed to take that a step further. After his father's death, he used the network of his family to gather as much information as possible. He started with businessmen and celebrities, then he moved to much more interesting targets: politicians. That's how he caused problems... he started selling secrets to all political parties. It was just a matter of time for him to find out about what my father did..."

"Wait, are you talking about your father's corruption in general? Don't tell me he..." Charn intervened.

"That is exactly what I was about to say, Charn... you weren't the only one who was investigating the case. Kimhan was looking for the truth way before you changed sides. The party didn't care that much, it wasn't the first time Kimhan wanted money to keep a secret, but a service like that..." Thanthai stopped for a moment.

"A service like that is quite expensive..."

"Needless to say, all traces of transactions and communications between your family and Kimhan have been destroyed after your father's death, am I right?" Charn asked after standing up, getting ready to leave.

"No need to ask for something you already know, Charn..." Thanthai responded with a subtle smirk.

"I got what I wanted, I'll leave... you're doing a very good job with this house, it finally feels like someone with taste is living in it. Goodbye" Charn said, Thanthai thanked him for the compliment and waved at him as the lawyer left the mansion.

Arm opened the car door and let Charn get into the car. As the bodyguard got to the driver seat, he looked at the mirror and said to the important guest of the Theerapanyakul family:

"A member of the family would like to meet you before we go back to the mansion. I hope you don't mind a little visit"

"Fine, may I know who requests my presence?"

"It's khun Kinn" Arm replied.

"I see, well, what are you waiting for? Let's go"
