Chapter Two

Lloyd entered the big gates and took a look around, trying to find anyone he new as he stuffed his phone in. "They're probably all at inside." He thought to himself. He then realises that he has to meet Morro and Nya to cover up his bruise.

He made his way through the school by himself, seeing eyes on him. He looked confused. No one ever payed attention to him. Or his friends for that matter. They were labelled as: 'Freaks: Don't Touch them.' By the whole school. None of the teachers dared to do a thing, because they had "Never seen it happen before." Although him and his friends literally get notes thrown at them in class which had horrible slurs and name which could literally broke them all.

Most of the time at least one person of the group had something to vent about when they came to lunch or break, or in the morning. They had practically became each other's therapist; offering food, hugs and comfort.

The piercing squints of eyes by his classmates and bullied stabbed through him, some turning around and whispering horrid remarks to their friends, which resulted in those said friends bursting into a fit of laughter, which echoed throughout his brain until he could see someone he trusted to pull him away.

"Lloyd?"

Lloyd turned around and saw Zane, a worried expression on his face as he pulled him into a quieter hallway. The blonde looked up at the slightly taller teen and saw his concerned demeanour. Pixal, his girlfriend stood right beside him, the same feeling which shown through to her body, considering her head tilt and her eyebrows creased.

"Are you okay? We couldn't help but notice the expressions of ur peers." The female robot asked, looking back into the hallway and still seeing different colours and pairs of eyes staring. She quickly turned back to the two, afraid of what would happen if she kept staring.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I was just in my way to the back of the swimming pool." He explained, a little nod coming with his response, blinking a few times. "Morro..he had another fight with his parents." His voice became softer with the add on, feeling guilty for his best friend; considering he basically gets physical and mental marks all the time. It had driven him to a point a few months back where he had to stay at Jay's house, he was so scared. Lloyd doesn't blame him - if the authorities don't care that he's literally being beaten up, then his friends will have to do something.

"So me and Nya are meeting him there to do his makeup. Skylor is gonna be late, and Seliel has a morning detention to attend to." He mumbled, swiping his left foot against the floor as the other two nodded. The couple nodded, and Pixal bit her lip. "Cole, Jay and Kai are in our meeting place. We're gonna go up there for the last 15 minutes." Pixal said, grabbing Zane's hand and looking at him worriedly. Zane have her a quick peck on the cheek in response for reassurance. She nodded and looked down."It's okay. I'll see you guys in maths first period..?" He said, nodding and waving a hand slightly as they respond for a goodbye, and see you later. They both have a sad smile at the green eyed teenager, and Zane ruffled his soft blond locks lightly. "We shall see you around, Lloyd."

They left without another word, and Lloyd stood there for a few seconds. He took a few deep breathes in and blinked a few times, trying to refresh his mind and make his panic and mild anxiety disappear for the time being. The door outside lead to the running tracks, the swimming pool, the football, netball, basketball and baseball field, the changing rooms and the gym. The baseball team and the running team were practicing right now, and a few of them were old friends of the group, until they became popular and rich, then leaving them and become a common bully. Cole and Morro got the most of it, considering Cole's mother used to teach dance at this school, but quit when she became ill. And Morro..because, everyone thinks he does it for attention. Yeah, because he doesn't since I'm pain when someone slaps him on the shoulder or stomach.

He took a few steps. He was close enough to the door; he may as well just do it! Plus a he promised Nya and Morro. And there's a rule in the group - never go against promises!

He took another deep breathe. His feet seemed to have a mind of their own as before he knew it, he was at long out the shady school and into he warm sun that beamed down onto the grass, leaving some of the practicers - that we're now staring at him - shining with sweat at 7:15AM in the morning. Dang, it was warm wasn't it?

He quickly moved his eyes to the floor and fumbled with the zipper on his jacket and sped walked away from the muttering people, trying his best to ignore the remarks and retorts that came out of their throats. He'd be surprised if by the end of the year their throats aren't sore form all of the crap they talk about people to make themselves feel superior.

Come on Lloyd, not long until you see them. Just look down and don't snap.

Don't snap.

Don't snap.

Don't cry.

Don't say anything.

Before he knew it, a small arm pulled him away from his tracks.

"Lloyd? Lloyd!" A familiar voice called out to him, and that same arm waving it's hand in front of his face. He blinked and shook his head rapidly, a startled yelp shouting out and his body stiffening.

He blinked again and looked down at the people standing in front of him. Nya was standing in front of him, a eyebrow up and and her hands on her hips as she clicked her fingers again. He turned his head and saw Morro. He was looking down, his brown and green eyes shiny and glistening with warm salty liquid. His tanned face did too looked discomforted, and his long black and green hair draped over his left eye lazily. Lloyd knew exactly what he was hiding.

"Lloyd, you okay?" Nya asked again, her arms dropping to the side in a change of mood for her best friend. Morro perked his head up, looking at the ever so slightly taller teenager, still worry on his face, considering his pain right now.

"Oh yeah. I'm alright. Sorry I was a bit late. I saw Pix and Zane." He explained, a nod following all with the sentence. He then turned to Morro, a sad, sinking feeling in heart when the mentioned boy pulled his hair away to see the fresh purple bruise just under his eye. A few little scratches accompanied it, and Lloyd just about hear the ringing of glass shattering on the floor. The boy had texted him late that night - surprisingly they were both awake and couldn't sleep - about the events that happened prior in one of their houses. The abrupt ending of "now I've got cuts all-".

He then didn't get a text back, and he hoped to god his friend was okay.

"Nya's gonna do the makeup for me, can you hold my hair back?" Morro asked, biting his lip as he held a section of hair with his shaking hands for Lloyd to hold. The male that wore green nodded and replaced Morro's hands with his while Nya ruffled around in her bag. They two both noticed her slight red face, and her what seemed to be trembling lip being bitten in order to stay calm.

They also noticed an untouched breakfast par in her pocket, looking as if she had no intention to eat it before classes started. Lloyd assumed that her and her brother woke up late - and breakfast at the orphanage had already been served. So, they took breakfast bars they had stuffed in their draws away from the workers.

"Nya? You're not gonna eat that before class? Your first one is PE." Lloyd said, a concerned and questioning tone in his voice. She grabbed the foundation for Morro's shade and squirted it on a sponge. She placed the cold liquid on the purple mark, making Morro wince and try to pull away. Nya held his arm, keeping him in place as she began again.

"Oh, this?" She responded, pointing at the piece of food the duo noticed in her hoodie pocket. She shook her head and shrugged, carrying on with the makeup on her friends' face. "Nah, I'm not hungry at the moment - I'll probably have it at break after History." She confirmed, not an ounce of real expression in her face while helping Morro out. She cleaned off the bottle and the sponge, putting it back in her bag and zipping it up.

Riiiiing! Riiiiing!

They all sighed in annoyance and discomfort, not ready for the events ahead of them. Not ready for anything, really. Not ready to go to school, not ready to go through the gates, not ready to see the looks on their peers, not ready for lessons..

Just, not ready for..home.

Nya sighed. "I guess I'll see you all at break? Our usual spot?" She said, a disappointed tone in her voice. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and waved at the two, eyeing the gym hall that she had to got to for her first period, while Lloyd and Morro had Science with Cole and Kai.

They said their own goodbyes and watched as Nya slowly made her way to the gymnasium, clearly not ready for whatever topic she had in the physical lesson. Lloyd and Morro turned around and watched as the practisers began to walk to the doors with the duo, and they both slowed down so they didn't have to be made fun of by them.

However, one of them wouldn't not move.

"Heyyyy...uhh.." She said, her platinum blonde/white hair bouncing up from the sudden movement in front of the two teenagers. A fake innocent smile creeped up on her pale face, and her own mossy green eyes staring into Lloyd's emerald ones. Morro raised an eyebrow at the girl, not having a clue who she was.

Lloyd rolled his eyes. "It's Lloyd, Harumi. What do you want?" He groaned. Harumi And Lloyd used to be childhood best friends until they were 11, and Harumi confessed that she liked Lloyd, but he just wanted to remain friends. She snapped at him, swearing and shouting as she tried to hide her tears.

Ever since then, the girl had been basically making Lloyd and his friends' lives hell, spreading fake rumours and all that bully shit. Lloyd hated her, and he's 110% sure that she hates him too.

"I just wanted to say hello to my faaaaavourite~ person, so, hey Blondie!" She teased, the sultry tone in her high voice making Lloyd extremely uncomfortable with the situation that she had put her and Morro in.

"Uh, who is this?" Morro asked, his monotone and sarcastic demeanour showing up again as she looked at Lloyd. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, clearing done with this conversation with this 'White haired bitch'. Well, that's what he would say anyway. And he's sure that after Morro finds out who she is, he'll definitely call her that too.

Harumi looked at the boy in disgust, her facial expression changing as she eyed the boy with a completely different body expression. She shook her head and tutted slightly, then looked up at Lloyd again.

"Lloyddddd..why do you hang out with people like that?" She questions, pointing at Morro with a disgusted look on her face. Morro tolles his eyes and crossed his arms, eyeing her up to down too. He can stand his ground when he needs to - but regrets it when a punch gets thrown his way. Or, a slap, or a shoe, or-

Lloyd growled and pushed her off of him, his anger rising at the remark she just spat at his already hurting friend. "Don't talk to him like that. I want nothing to do with you. Ever." He mumbled, grabbing Morro's wrist and pulling him to class, leaving a shocked Harumi behind.

Nya felt her face getting red as the other student in the class walks with her, well, in front of her. A few kept glancing at her then muttering to a group of friends, sometimes a fit of giggles would occur for a few seconds before they abruptly carried on to talking.

"Hey, orphan!"

Nya perked her head up and saw a dirty blonde haired boy stopping and staring at her dead in the eyes, a weird expression on his face. The black haired girl swallowed and looked at him with uncertainty. She sighed, and pulled out the items in her hoodie. £2, a breakfast bar and a bottle of water. She held them out to the boy and he snatched them all away from her, stuffing them in his own bag.

"Soon enough you'll be just the way I like 'ya." He chuckled, placing two fingers in her stomach and dancing them up and won her midsection. Nya slapped his hand away and yelped. She wasn't used to that. She didn't like it. What the hell was he trying to do? She backed away from his slightly, tears building up in her eyes and he growled in response. "Oh fattie, if only your little boyfriend was here to help you." He taunted, a smirk going on his and his friends faces'. They then began to laugh almost hysterically at what this boy was doing, their sounds of happiness and pleasure of teasing the girl to flat out discomfort.

"Also, you came out as bisexual a few days ago didn't ya?" He asked another question. It was again, personal. But, the whole school basically knew all about her and her friends, (somehow) so she'd have to respond. Respond with her usual thing, a nod or a shake of head. And just like that, her head shook up and down slightly, she eyes not averting off the floor as it change from tarmac to wooden floorboards that loudly creaked underneath the classes' steps.

A few girls heads turn to her, and they looked at her in disgust, looking up at her small frame up and down before laughing again. She sighed and looked back down, the guilt from coming out stabbing at her in every part of the body, especially when she was with people who didn't even understand the term 'LGBTQ+'.

"Hah, okay. Just don't look at my girl while she's changing." He remarked, looking at his so called girlfriend with lovey dovey eyes and she responded back with them. Nya groaned and facepalmed. She. Has. A. Godamn. Boyfriend. How many times must she has to this world? And no, Micheal. Just because she likes girls and doesn't mean that she's gonna starting eyeing the girls changing like a creep, she's not like that. But he certainly is.

Shivers ran down her spine and she entered the changing room, pulling out her swimming kit and entering one of the stalls. She sat down by the wall and slid down it, exhaling shakily and trying to take in what just happened. You'd expect her to be used to this by now, but all of those names still echoed in her mind.

"Orphan!"

"Fattie!"

"You pig!"

"Eww..your bi?"

"Ahah, no way. Give your food!"

She used the oversized sleeves to wipe her wet eyes and rubbed them slightly, muttering 'encouraging' words to herself as she tried not to break down when all of the girls were in the room.

"I'm glad she took that stall; I don't want her looking at me. Pfft, she probably think I fancy her. One, I'm not gay, and two, she's a fat bitch that needs to loose some weight! Oh, did I mention orphan?"

Nya felt tears stream down her face at that sentence, her breathing speeding up and her body shaking slightly. She curled up into a ball and cried, trying to suppress her hiccuping sobs as the words finally broke her. Her black hair fell down her face, some strands of it getting wet from her constant tears that pooled onto her leggings.

Another fit of giggles corrupted the whole room which was mostly quiet from before, with the occasional muttering and laughing.

"Wow, is she seriously crying?"

"What a crybaby!"

"She may as well just go to mummy and daddy!"

"She doesn't have one dumbass! She has one twin brother and no home at all!"

"I'm surprised she still has friends!"

Again, that taunting laughter corrupted her whole mind, but was nothing compared to the insults that had been thrown at her. They flooded her mind, taking over every ounce of motivation that she had for today. It genuinely felt like the heart was being stomped on. Where's Kai? Where's Jay? Why can't she have lessons with them?

That salty hold liquid only dropped more out of her eyes as she stood up, her shoulder shaking unevenly with her sobs of mental pain. Her eyes squeezed shut and she took two steps to her back, ruffling through it to find her swimming outfit and her towel.

She used to love swimming, it was a great coping mechanism for when she missed her parents - and the horrible foster home they were in for 7 years. Kai was never fond of swimming. He'd just sit with his feet in, while keeping an eye on his sister. Keep in mind that she said she used to love swimming. Yeah, just like the rest of her life, that dream was crushed. And she cried. She just cried like she always did. She cried when she misses her mother bad father at night. She cries when someone she loves gets hurt. She cries when the stress of everything gets to her. She cries because she's too fat.

The rest of the time when she was changing had gone by in a blur, and before she knew it, Nya wrapped herself in a towel and she walked out, wiping her tear filled eyes. Her feet started to become wet as the waves of water form the pool wooshed over to her. She walked past all of the stairs of the students, even the boys. The girls must have told them she was crying in the stalls again. Yes, she said again. When your one of the most hated kids in school, you're most likely to cry anywhere if your too stressed.

She dropped the towel and sat on it, her body shaking as the swimming tutor put them into their groups and then into teams of two. They were doing games today. Great. Just what she needed. Oh, and guess who she was paired with?

Micheal.

Fucking great, she just got humiliated by him; now they need to work together to play some shitty pool games? Great. Thanks world. Nya never wanted to get up and leave as much as she did when she got in the deep end with the boy, covering herself up slightly as she avoided eye contact and simply waited for the teacher to say that they can start the games.

After 30 minutes, they finally finished.

Nya wasted no time snatching her towel and getting the hell to the changing rooms as quick as possible, her patience wearing thin as she desperately wanted to go to history and see everyone. God, they were so lucky to have one class together. At least they could at least smile at each other throughout the hour of lame King Henry VIII shit that no one cared about, like at all.

She stuffed the clothes into her bag and rushed out, hoping to god that she'd never have to go through a lesson like that again.

"Hold it Right there Nya!"

Oh, what does her teacher want?

She turned her head and looked at her teacher, who had her arms crossed and an eyebrow raised at the smaller teen. She sighed and dropped her hands to the side, and the dropped her eyebrow too.

"You haven't been your best in swimming today - I'm quite disappointed." She said, a monotone sense in her voice, but you could feel the emotion behind it. It doesn't really make sense, but Nya knew what she was gonna say. The teen sighed herself and fumbled with her hands. "Well, I've been getting bullied and-"

"That doesn't give you an excuse." She cutted Nya off.

I'm sorry, what?!

Crying from sly remarks like that in a changing room stall, them coming out feeling extremely insecure about your body, and then being forced to do some stupid ass water games with a guys you hate with you life isn't an excuse?! God, how did Nya hate this school.

She simply bit her lip and walked away.
