Remember no blurryface references please!

Also for the sake of the story this is a very sped up version of an exorcism and it can usually take hours or even require more than one exorcism. Plus, it not being entirely accurate adds to the story as well. The prayer said is like 5,000 words so I shortened it. Pretend that's normally how it is lol.

Josh loved Halloween for many reasons.

When he was younger he liked to dress up and be anyone he wanted. One year he was a pirate, another a vampire, another he was Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.

As he grew out of the trick or treat scene, he developed a love for horror movies and stealing Lina's siblings' candy. That was their yearly tradition. They would steal candy and watch scary movies while Tyler took his siblings trick or treating.

This year, however, they were performing an exorcism— something they only thought happened in horror movies.

Turns out, Tyler's mom already had plans. She was going to a late night Halloween party for work and Jay was planning on spending the night with a friend since it was a Friday. That made things easier for the trio. Gracie was locked in their mom's room.

Maddy was currently in the middle of sending Tyler on a wild goose chase to find his black sweatshirt. Josh didn't know why that article of clothing had gotten so important but it seemed imperative that Tyler found it.

Tyler didn't know Josh and Lina were there since Maddy left the front door cracked for them to come in.

Josh was currently tying rope around a chair and flinched as he heard Tyler yell and slam something shut. He finished with the rope, making sure it couldn't leave the chair. There was a circle of salt around the chair and biblical figures and crosses laying around it as well. "Are we ready?" He asked Lina.

She nodded. "I'll text Maddy."

Josh watched her type something on her phone before putting it in her pocket. Then, he heard Maddy speak up.

"Wait, Ty."

"What?" He snapped in an angry voice. It sounded far worse than it usually did.

"I think I saw your sweatshirt downstairs."

Tyler let out another noise of frustration before Josh heard him make his way down the stairs. He stopped at the bottom, seeing Josh and Lina there. "What are you two doing here?" He asked in a surprisingly calm voice.

Josh saw Maddy walk down and stand behind him. She had an anxious look on her face. Josh nodded slightly at her in encouragement before speaking up. "Hey, Ty," he took a step towards him as he spoke. The chair was set up further into the living room so Tyler couldn't see it. "Lina and I came over to apologize. We realize we haven't been the best to you lately and want to be there for you while you're going through some things," he spoke softly.

Tyler crossed his arms over his chest. "Yeah. You should be apologizing."

Josh took a deep breath. Everything had to go as planned to make this happen. "C'mere," he held his hand out. Tyler hesitantly walked forward and Josh grabbed his hand. "Maybe we I can make it up to you later," he whispered in his ear seductively.

Tyler looked at him and before he could say anything he was pressing his lips to Tyler's roughly. He knew exactly what this demon wanted and he was going to make it think it was getting what it wanted.

Tyler kissed back passionately and his hand went to rest on Josh's ass. It was pretty uncomfortable to be making out with his boyfriend in front of his best friend and boyfriend's little sister but it was part of the plan.

Josh carefully led him over to the area with the chair as they made out. Tyler had his back to the room so he didn't it see it coming when Josh suddenly sat him down in the chair and held him down while Lina tied him to it as quick as she could.

He began trashing around as Maddy joined and they knotted the rope tightly around his arms and ankles. "What the fuck are you doing?" He yelled.

"Okay," Lina told them. That meant Tyler was tied down. Josh let go of him as his boyfriend struggled.

He glanced down and saw Tyler's arms, letting out a gasp. They were marked and cut and scratched. Red scars that looked healed up covered each limb and Josh saw other things carved in them. One forearm had a satanic symbol on it. Carved right into his skin.

"Did you do that to yourself?" Josh asked softly, completely forgetting about the plan.

"What are you doing?" Tyler continued trashing around, seeming almost in pain. That was probably due to the holy water Lina rubbed on the rope.

"Tyler this isn't—"

"Yes it is! It's me! The real me!" Tyler looked up with a devastated look on his face. Tears filled his eyes. "Let go of me!" he sobbed out. "Joshie, please," he kept sobbing as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Josh's heart broke. He felt like someone had smashed it with a hammer. It was Tyler. The real Tyler. He needed to save him.

Josh went to untie the rope when Lina grabbed him and held him back. "Don't," she said sternly, narrowing her eyes at Tyler.

Josh looked at her like she had gone crazy. "What the fuck? It's Tyler!"

Suddenly, Tyler's sobs turned into laughs. Josh looked over and the tears instantly stopped. The laughs turned into menacing cackles. "You fools," he spoke. However, this time his voice wasn't a few octaves lower than it usually was. It was so deep that it sounded like a completely different person. "You stupid fucking teenagers," he spat. "Like I didn't know what you were planning."

Maddy, Josh, and Lina all glanced at each other. "What?"

"I knew about all of it. Remember the little signs you looked up? Access to hidden knowledge? I knew you were planning this to try and save your precious boyfriend," Tyler mockingly pouted, his voice still demonically deep. "And Josh? You're so fucking dumb and gullible it's almost funny. It's annoying Tyler never let me dump you. That's the one thing he had control over."

"So he's still in there?" Maddy asked hopefully.

Tyler cackled again. "Barely," he grinned. Josh noticed his eyes glow red. "And after tonight? His soul will be completely destroyed and I'll get to keep using his body for as long as it can handle me."

"Please," Josh pleaded. "Let us have him back. He doesn't deserve this."

"It's not that easy. We can make a deal, though," he smirked.

Lina snorted. "Making a deal with the devil? Go fuck yourself," she sneered.

Tyler laughed. "It's an honor you think of me as the devil. He's much, much worse," he looked back at Josh. "I'll leave Tyler if I get to use your body as a host. Forever."

"Josh don't," Lina warned.

"How about you leave him and the rest of us the fuck alone?" Josh replied.

"How about I kill him and possess one of you instead?" Tyler challenged. "I could do it. Especially tonight. It would be so easy. It's just so entertaining to watch an innocent soul crumble."

"You wouldn't kill him," Josh narrowed his eyes.

Tyler laughed again, the red in his eyes glowing brighter for a moment. "You don't think so?"

Suddenly, one of their mom's vases was being smashed against a wall and one of the shards flew into Tyler's hand. "Don't," Lina repeated but this time at the demon.

Tyler smirked. "I still have my powers. One blink and I'll have this shard dragging up the main vein in his arm. If he's dead you can't have him at all."

"Do not hurt him," Josh ordered.

"Or..." Tyler thought for a moment. "I would kill one of you too."

Before Josh could even process it, the same shard of glass was headed right towards his stomach. He was being pushed out of the way before he realized what was about to happen and hit the ground.

He looked up and saw that Lina had shoved him. "Fuck," he groaned. Lina let out a groan as well and Josh's eyes widened when he saw the glass stabbed through her stomach instead. "No!" He yelled. "Why the fuck would you do that?" He asked, tears welling in his eyes as he put his hands over her wound to add pressure.

Lina gave a pained smile. "Remember? You're like another annoying sibling that at the end of the day I'd die for."

Josh looked down and saw blood covering his hands. "That's not fair!" He sobbed out.

"It's gotta be a colored person to die first in horror movies. It's the rule."

Josh felt like he was dying. "Stop making jokes! You can't do this to me. This isn't supposed to happen."

Lina looked at him with tired eyes. "Then go save Tyler so it wasn't all for nothing. It's almost midnight. You remember what to do. The prayer is written somewhere over there."

Josh let out another sob. "Maddy?"

She was already making her way over to Lina. "Go kick some demon ass," Lina croaked out.

Josh nodded and got up, wiping his eyes. A sudden anger filled him and he knew he had to save Tyler no matter what. "I'm calling the shots now," he glared. He grabbed the small container of holy water Lina gave him out of his pocket and went over to Tyler.

In one swift motion, he had it opened and poured it down his head and shoulders. Tyler failed and cried out in pain. "You little bitch!" He snarled at Josh.

"I think you're the bitch— you're getting sent back to Hell by a teenager."

Josh held a cross to his chest and read off the paper he found on the floor, ignoring Tyler howling in pain. "In the Name of Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints, we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and deceits of the devil. Amen."

As soon as those words left his mouth, Josh watched Tyler gasp and his eyes turn back to brown. He watched as a shadow floated out from his body and flew into the air before vanishing all together. It was gone.

His eyes caught the clock on the wall. 12:01.

He glanced down and saw Tyler blink before tears filled his eyes. "Josh?" He asked, his voice terrified.

Josh quickly untied the rope around him and caught Tyler as he collapsed into his arms, sobbing loudly. "It's okay..." Josh soothed, tears reappearing in his own eyes and he lowered Tyler to the ground.

"I'm so sorry," Tyler continued to sob. "I'm am so, so sorry."

"It's not your fault," Josh assured. He looked over at Maddy who had teary eyes as well. "Call 911 for Lina."

She nodded and grabbed her phone out. Josh heard her talking but he tuned it out as he looked down at his boyfriend. "I love you."

Tyler just kept sobbing but he mumbled something into Josh's chest that he assumed was him saying it back. Josh rocked him back and forth and he cried.

Things were okay now. Things were going to be better.
