11. GRŌ ÛÑDÉD

It was Saturday— the day after Josh had gone to Lina's for dinner. Also the day after Tyler had walked off during lunch.

Josh had texted him twice but received no reply so he decided to bring Tyler lunch. Maybe that would make him feel better. Show him that Josh really did care.

Josh was making his way towards Tyler's and shortly after he arrived. Pulling into the driveway, he grabbed the bag of food and made his way to the door.

He rang the doorbell and waited patiently for Tyler to answer. Finally, after waiting for three minutes, the door swung open and he was met with a scowling Tyler. "What do you want?" He snapped.

Josh noticed he was wearing the same black sweatshirt from before. That seemed to be all he wore anymore: a black sweatshirt and black jeans.

Tyler also had dark bags under his eyes and his hair was sticking up everywhere. He looked terrible.

Despite that, Josh forced a smile. "I brought you lunch," he held the bag up. "It's your favorite... Chipotle! I know you... uh... eat meat now but I just got your old order since I didn't know what you'd want and I wanted to surprise you."

Tyler crossed his arms. "I'm not hungry."

Josh kept the smile on his face and walked into the house. If Tyler really had an issue with him being there and told him to leave he would. "I am! Let's eat!"

Tyler sighed and shut the door behind them. Josh brought the food to the kitchen table and set everything out before sitting down. Tyler walked in a moment later and took a seat next to Josh.

Josh began eating his food and watched Tyler hastily unwrap his burrito before taking a bite. He chewed for a moment before nodding. "It's good."

"Well it should be you get it every time," Josh laughed.

He saw a small smile on Tyler's face and his heart swelled. Maybe this was the start of mending their relationship.

The two ate in relative silence but finished pretty quickly. After Josh took the liberty of cleaning up Tyler spoke up.

"Do you wanna go to my room?" He asked, looking at Josh with soft eyes.

Josh grinned. "Sure."

Tyler grabbed his hand and led him up the stairs. They reached his room and Tyler shut and locked the door.

"Sit," Tyler told him.

Josh did as he was told and sat on the bed. "Okay. Why did you lock the— oh!"

He was cut off by Tyler sitting in his lap, bringing his legs around Josh's waist as he locked eyes with him.

Suddenly, Tyler was holding Josh's cheeks and pressing a longing kiss to his lips. Josh's heart swelled once more as he held Tyler's waist.

The two didn't make out every day but they've gone pretty much all week without any sort of affection (including kind words or I love yous) so this was refreshing for Josh and he had missed it so much. He had missed Tyler.

Tyler began kissing him more desperately but Josh didn't really see it as alarming. Tyler had probably missed Josh just as much as Josh missed him.

As they were kissing Josh felt one of Tyler's hands move to his thigh before slightly rubbing his crotch through his jeans.

Josh gasped slightly into the kiss and Tyler moved his free hand to Josh's chin and tightened his grip ever so slightly. Tyler was never the dominant one when the two were intimate in any way but it was almost exciting.

"Ty..." Josh mumbled out.

"Shush..." Tyler whispered, roughly reattaching their lips.

Tyler continued to work Josh up and the latter felt below start to get hot. Suddenly, the two were cut off by a knock on Tyler's door. He groaned loudly before leaning away from Josh. "What?" He barked in an angry tone.

"Tyler Robert unlock this door right now you know my rules!"

Josh recognized that as Tyler's mom's voice. "Ty, go unlock it," he whispered.

Tyler rolled his eyes and got off Josh's lap. He twisted the lock on the knob before sitting back down on the bed.

The door opened and Kelly had an angry look on her face. "You didn't ask if Josh could come over."

"I showed up with lunch, I'm sorry Kelly," Josh instantly spoke up. He was close with Tyler's family after knowing them for so long but he also knew Kelly liked to know beforehand if Josh was coming over.

Kelly waved her hand in dismissal. "It's okay honey I'm not upset with you," she looked at Tyler. "Did I or did I not ask you to do the dishes for me by the time I got back from the store."

"You did," Tyler shrugged.

"And did you."

Tyler snorted, a humorless laugh escaping his mouth shortly after. "No."

Kelly looked like she was going to lose it. "I am sick and tired of your attitude and your disrespect and your language this past week. You have never acted like this and I am disappointed and heartbroken."

"Good," Tyler sneered.

Kelly looked taken aback but quickly regained her composure and looked furious again. "You're grounded. You can not see Josh outside of school for a week and I'm taking your phone," she grabbed the mentioned object off his nightstand. "Josh please head home."

And with that she shut the door and left.

Tyler looked like he was going to strangle someone. "What a bitch!"

Josh's eyes widened. "Tyler..." he trailed off.

"No! Don't 'Tyler' me! She's being a bitch and you know it!"

"She's just upset you didn't listen," he tried explaining.

"Oh so you're on her side now?" He scoffed. "Get the fuck out. If we're listening to my mom now then she told you to leave."

"Ty... please..." Josh tried.

Tyler looked him in the eye and Josh backed up, truly terrified Tyler was going to do something. "I said get out of my fucking house!"

Josh sighed and got up, going to the door and opening it. Hand on the knob, he looked back. "I love you."

"Leave!"

Josh walked out and shut the door behind him, tears pricking his eyes over the fact Tyler didn't say those three words back.
