Confrontation...?
Sophie stormed into the Match Making Office, her entourage in close pursuit. She stepped up to the counter and plopped her scroll down. She smiled at Alla, though it wasn't a very sweet smile. "Excuse me, miss, but I think that I got the wrong scroll.
Alla glanced up nervously from behind her heart shaped sunglasses. "How so?" Her eyes landed on Fitz and Keefe and she paled.
Keefe and Fitz refuses to meet her eyes. "Well, you see, I just have a feeling that the elves on my list don't exactly qualify, if you know what I mean."
"I see. I guess I can ask that the Match Makers double check. It might be a while."
"Is there anyway that someone else could handle it?"
"Uh, I suppose," she muttered anxiously. "Any particular reason?"
"No, no. Just the fact that error is less likely with two minds."
"Of course. It'll probably be about a week and we'll get back to you," Alla finished professionally as she shuffled some papers. "Have a good day." Her voice was tight.
"You, too!" Sophie called cheerily before spinning on her heel and strutting our. Her friends followed quickly.
"Nice going, Sophie!" Biana cheered.
"Yeah, way to stick up for yourself," Tam muttered.
"Don't you think you were a little harsh?" Fitz asked.
"Harsh? I didn't even ask her if she did it or shout or anything. I just asked her to fix it!" Sophie exclaimed, baffled.
"You COULD have been a bit nicer..." Keefe said quietly.
Sophie sighed. "And she could have not messed with my scroll." She crossed her arms over her chest.
"Yeah, but-"
"It's getting late," Dex interrupted Fitz. "We should probably head home."
Linh nodded in agreement. "We need jackolyte food," she reminded her brother.
"All that creature has done is cause trouble," came his annoyed reply.
"Jayvis is a wonderful pet!" Linh argued before Tam pulled her into a path of light.
"Night Foster and Foster Fan Club." Keefe winked and stepped into his path.
"Wish me luck! Dad just got a bunch of candy," Dex whined as he disappeared.
Fitz just waved and smiled that smile that made Sophie's heart pound. "Cognate exercises tomorrow?" She just nodded, throat dry.
"All right, cognates, we gotta go. Bye!" Biana called before she and Fitz also vanished.
Sophie fell asleep shortly after in her big, canopy bed.
One, I know that it is late. Two, it might not EXACTLY sound like Soph, but I tried. Three, uh...hope you enjoyed. BUH-BYE!
