Constantine.
I sighed as I saw Kakashi walk down the trail that led to my home. I had to tell him, him first before anyone else. I didn’t know what to tell him. I was afraid to drink blood so I haven’t drunk any since this morning. I was dizzy and I was starting to have difficulty over my bloodlust.
Kakashi let himself in and walked straight into the kitchen. I sighed and heard his heartbeat quicken. I stopped breathing but started to breathe as soon as I remembered the unborn child in my belly and how he or she might need to breathe. Kakashi knew something was up and took a small step forward to get my attention. I pushed all of my bloodlust to the back of my mind and turned to face him. I threw the stupid little stick that changed everything his way and he caught it.
As he looked at it, he paled seeming to become sick.
“Kakashi-kun… I’m pregnant.” I whispered.
Three months later.
So Tsunade was my doctor that always gave me my daily tests to make sure the baby was doing fine. I needed daily exams because of obvious reasons. So now I was in the same room I was assigned to and was rubbing my belly that now had a slight bump. Kakashi was at my side like he always had been.
Speaking of Kakashi, he had taken the news very well. If fact, he told me that he was wanting to settle down and what was better than settling down with me and a new child? But when I first told him, he actually ran outside and barfed… literally. Then he told me that he had eaten some old food on accident and had been sick all day. Funny story.
Tsunade came in with a smile on her face.
“So everything is going good… And I can probably find out the gender of the baby now. Would you like to know?” she gave me an excited glance and I could tell she’s trying her hardest to not just find it out herself. I smirked at her.
“Nah, we want to wait until the end.” I almost laughed at her depressed face. She would find out soon enough anyway, she WAS delivering the baby! I rolled my eyes at her and she sighed.
“Fine....” she dragged and then a smile came across her face. “I bet you’re okay to pass tomorrows visit, the baby really is doing great. As for you… you need to get some food in you!” I knew what she meant. I have limited myself to blood- only one bottle a day. Sure, I don’t drink it all at once, but that still is a big cut to my diet. It’s like only eating one bowl of cereal a day to a human- some really good tasty cereal, like Captain Crunch or Honey Bunches of Oats.
Yummy.
“Yeah, yeah… I’ll live.” I waved off the subject and stood up. “But that’s great how good the baby is doing. Let’s go buy some Dango Kakashi.” I smiled at his confused face.
“But you can’t eat…” he trailed off. I grinned.
“I never said for me. You haven’t been eating as much as you should. I got to fatten my man up!” I stood up and fist pumped the air.
During my pregnancy, I have been more random, moody, and I really enjoy messing with Hidan for some reason. It was a new hobby of mine to come up with different ways to wake him up, pull pranks on him, and make him do things for me. But he’s been a great support for me, he always helps me around the house and such, and he always forgives me for the horrible things I do to him. Like yesterday when I had stolen his scythe and decided to try and cut his hair with it. He forgave me when I accidently cut his cheek. Luckily I had my blood right before that happened or things could have gotten ugly.
One Week Later.
Kakashi was on a two day mission and he told me to write a list of names for the baby- top five boy names and top five girl names. I had a boy name and a girl name written down but a part of me knew Kakashi would object so I just crumpled up the paper. Sasori saw me do this and took the paper from my hand.
“Obito… Rin… are these names for the little squirt?” he asked and I nodded.
“Also deceased comrades and friends of Kakashi and myself, but I know Kakashi will not appreciate me even adding their names to the list.” I sighed and got a new piece of paper. I had sent out Deidara and Hidan to help Naruto train because he’s been nagging me about training so he could defeat the already dead Sasuke. I sighed again.
I need to tell him soon, but not now.
I got up and took and pen and paper in my hand. Sasori looked at me and I huffed.
“I’m going on a walk, be back later.” I announced and he nodded. I went out the door and ended up being in the park. I sat on a bench and looked around for inspiration. Sakura? No, it reminded me too much of Pinky. I groaned and face-palmed.
“Can I help you?” A female voice asked and I looked up at the girl. She had silver wavy hair that went to her mid back. Very pale and she looked like she applied some light pink blush to her cheeks to add some color. She wore a navy blue crop top shirt with some black fishnets under and some short black shorts, she also had the normal black ninja sandals. Was she a ninja? Either way, she seemed nice.
“I’m thinking of baby names. Care to help?” I smiled as she grinned. She skipped to me and sat next to the bench. I stared at her. Why wouldn’t she sit on the bench?? Was I taking up too much space?! Was I too fat!?
“Am I fat?” I asked and she looked confused.
“No, you’re skinny. Are you even preggo?” she retorted and I frowned.
“Yes I am. Why aren’t you sitting on the bench?” she smiled even wider.
“Because benches are for wussies!” she laughed and I growled. Could she not see I was sitting on the bench?!
“Are you implying I am a wuss?” I hissed and she smirked daringly.
“Well you are preggo… yeah kind of.” That chick sure has guts. I respected her for that, but she was also dissing me and I could not let that go so easily!
“Just because I’m pregnant does not mean I can’t kick your ass! So you either help me name my baby or go away!” I sternly said while giving her a look that said ‘don’t push my buttons’. She shrugged and rubbed the back of her neck.
“Sorry, I tend to speak before thinking… How about you name her Yuki?” I smiled. Atta girl, get on my good side. I’m sure you don’t want an angry preggo vampire mad at you.
“Nah, too common.” She sweat dropped.
“Nobody I know has that name!” she argued and sighed. “Sorry again, my name is Maualei by the way.” She apologized and I furrowed my brows for a moment. That sounded Hawaiian. Odd. I let it go, I was going to ask her about it when the time seemed right. “June.”
So we spent the entire afternoon together and finally I had my list, even though I was going to tell Kakashi what the kids name was even if he didn’t like it. I had thought of it and Maualei thought it was amazing. She had thought of countless middle names for me to ask Kakashi about and she insisted to be the Godmother.
We became best friends after that.
Three months later. 6.5 months pregnant.
“Kakashi Hatake do you take June Zaki to be your wife?” Tsunade asked and Kakashi grinned from beneath his mask. He was dressed in a fitted black suit that had a silver tie to go with it. He decided to wear a black mask instead of his normal blue one so it would match. I was in a silver wedding kimono that had black Sakura pedals on the back.
“I do.” We had only people we truly knew attend the wedding that was at my house. I should say our house because Kakashi moved in last month so he could be even closer to me. There was Naruto, Sakura, Gai, Maualei, Asuma, Kurenai, Shikamaru and Shikaku, Iruka, Neji and Hinata, and of course the three goofballs that also live with me. Gai was the best man as Maualei was the maid of honor.
“And do you, June Zaki, take Kakashi Hatake to be your husband?” Tsunade continued the lines that were given to her. She never did weddings but I had asked her to and she said she would. She had no idea what to say so I wrote down the simplest thing that she could say. Just a few vows I knew and the ending.
“I do.” I smiled and rubbed my belly that was very large by now.
“Now… since idiot here refuses to take off his mask.” Wait, I didn’t write that! I looked at her with wide eyes but all she did was wink and continue. “I now announce you husband and wife, Kakashi, -insert sigh here- you may simply hug your wife.” Everyone chuckled but Kakashi took no time to hug me.
“I love you June… June Hatake.”
December 11th. 10:11 P.M.
“Kakashi!!! MY WATER BROKE!!” I screamed and Kakashi jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. I was watching T.V. and my stupid water broke! Kakashi swore and seemed to start panicking. I face-palmed and put on my slippers.
“What should I do?!?” Kakashi asked frantically. I looked at him.
“Go get dressed!” I ordered and shooed him up the stairs. I felt an uncomfortable pressure and I moaned. This was going to SUCK! All four boys ran downstairs like lightning and I laughed. They looked at me strangely.
“You should of seen your face earlier Kakashi-kun~!” I giggled and he groaned. He picked me up bridal-style and we all rushed to the hospital.
Exactly One Hour Later.
“It’s a girl!!” Tsunade announced and I grinned while trying to catch my breath. All of that pushing was HARD WORK! “What’ll you name her?” Tsunade asked and handed the baby to a nurse to clean her up.
“Constantine. Constantine Victoria Hatake.” Kakashi answered with a smile on his face. Him and Maualei were the only ones I allowed in the room during the giving birth part (except for the doctors, obviously) while the boys impatiently waited in the waiting room. I say impatiently because I could hear Hidan and Deidara complaining about being tired to the nurses and I couldn’t hear Sasori through the whole thing, so my guess he was either outside or just sitting there quietly like he should be.
As I rested in the hospital bed, I looked at my daughters sleeping form whom was right next to me in a small portable crib thing. Kakashi laid in the hospital bed that was stationed next to mine fast asleep. I had the boys go home, telling them to come see the baby tomorrow.
“My precious Constantine.” I whispered.
