Cali sighed as she opened up the door to her daughter's hospital room. She had prepared for the worst and hoped that there would be some sense of improvement.

While walking in, with her head held down. As she walked in, she was surprised to hear the television on and laughter.

While raising one her eyebrow's up, Cali continued to walk in and was stunned to see her daughter sitting up, laughing while stuffing candy into her mouth as
Brandon sat parallel to her as the two watched Oxygen's Bad Girl's Club.

"W-W-What?" Cali stuttered as she stopped in her tracks. "Mo?" Was this it? Was her daughter on ful recovery? It was just two days going on three since she has visited her daughter,
and that was mainly due to a business trip that she had to go on with her new job. Tear's came to Cali's eyes as she couldnt believe her daughter was back in action.

"M-Mama!" Monica said as she smiled and ran into Cali's arms, surprised to see her mother.
Cali immiedietly hugged back her daughter as she looked up and began thanking god for giving her back her daughter.
"Oh my gosh! My baby!" Cali yelped as she hugged Monica tighter.

They broke their hug and stared into one another's eyes and hugged one another back again.

Brandon couldn't do anything but smile at this moment. As long as Mo was happy, so was he.

Cali couldn't control the tears of joy that ran down her cherry cheek as she admired her daughter's presence.

"I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you too mama!"

"B-Baby, I know I went behind your back and did the deal with grandma but It was for good intentions. Im so sorry hunny, like
forreal. On some real nigga shit." Cali pleaded as Monica chuckled at her mother's humor.

"Mama, relax. I forgive you. Im over it. I'll never forget but I will grow to forgive." Monica smiled as she looked into her mother's
glossy hazel eyes.

"And Brandon, my boy!" Cali smiled as she wiped her eyes and approached Brandon. "I havent seen you in ages! Come'ere, gimme a hug!
" Cali reached in and gave Brandon a tight hug as he hugged her back. "Mama Cal, Its great to see you too."

"How's your family doing?" Cali asked as she sat beside Brandon and placed her hand onto his knee, being sympathic.

"We getting there.." Brandon admitted.

"Good." Cali nodded her head. "Now, if you ever need anything, dont be scared to give De' or myself a call, iight?" De' just happened
to be good friends with Brandon's mother, before her passing. If she ever needed something, she knew De was just a call away.

Brandon nodded his head. "Thanks. I really appreciate it."

"No problem."

Brandon stood up while, adjusting his pants. "Well, Im going to let you ladies enjoy your mother and daughter moment, I gotta chart
anyway." Brandon made his way over to Cali and gave her a hug goodbye before he leaned over and gave Monica a hug while kissing her forehead.

"See you tomorrow iight?" Brandon bent down a bit, so he was now eye level with Monica.

"Alright." Monica smiled while hugging him a little tighter.

Brandon shook his head before departing and began walking towards the door. "Have a goodnight ladies."

"Night Brandon."

As the door shut, Monica swirled around in the room before landing onto her bed.

"Hm...so what's that all about?" Cali questioned as she nudged Monica on her side.

Mo chuckled. "WE ARE JUST FRIENDS." she emphasized every word in her sentence.

"Uh huh." Cali added as she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Plus, he's working! He's the one who helped me and got me back on track with talking and stuff."

"Thank god he did, because hunnnnnnny you were beginning to scare your mama."

"Well..." Monica sighed. "Im better now."

Cali nodded. "And I thank god for that. So have you had any visitors since I left?"

"Um, Marlon?"

"Oh, and how did that go?"

Monica smacked her lips. "I havent seen him since lord know's when and he comes in here giving Brandon attitude while acting all
high and mighty and s-"

"-Wait, holdup." Cali laughed as she held her hand up, while shaking her head. "Brandon was up in here when Marlon came in?"

"Yeah but so wha-"

"-Chile." Cali interjected.

"Mom, what?"

"How you have Brandon up in here while your man coming to visit you?" Cali laughed.

"He was working! Plus, Marlon wasnt checking in for me. After everything, so no..bye, do you."

"Alright baby." Cali just went ahead with whatever Monica was saying because at the end of the day Monica was going to do Monica, and
nobody was going to tell her nothing.

"So how have things been? How's the family?"

"De and I have been good. I really think he's the one." Cali blushed.

"Aw mama." Monica teased.

"Yeah, and Renae's been taking care of her baby and-"

"W-What baby?" Monica asked as she screwed up her face.

"Oh yeah, sorry baby. Renae adopted a little baby girl."
Monica's face began to tense up, as she thought about the baby that she miscarried.

"That's nice. How many months is she?"

"Four."

"Yeah, but you're alright right?" Cali rubbed upon Mo's knee as she looked into her eyes.

"Yeah, Im ok." Monica lied. "How's grandma?"

"She's doing okay." Cali sighed. "She really misses you.."

Monica didnt comment as she nodded her head.

"She'd really like to see you.."

Monica stared down at her grey sweatpants that she wore. "Hm."

"Monica stop being like that, Okay? She almost lost you and she only did this for the good intentions of you."

Monica stayed quiet.

"Monica..."

"Maybe."

"Huh? Maybe what?" Cali asked.

"Maybe, she can visit me... I'll get back to you."

Cali smiled. "Really?"

"Yes mom.." Monica answered lowly.
