Chapter 37

Who said that marriages are the time when all the family and friends has a good get together time, they probably forget to mention how exhausting that becomes to keep smiling all the time at the guests so that they could feel homely and comfortable and how much a difficult space it becomes when tons of exhilarating minds start working at a time.

Everybody were shocked to see the change in Aryan of how actively he was participating in all the tasks of the wedding preparation, when everyone else were busy shouting and screeching about how could they arrange everything in two days surprisingly Aryan was the one who explained them how to deal with the crisis of this sudden marriage planning.

Aryan has taken the leadership for the event and he had sanely divided all the work to person by person; Sejal and Sarah were given the arrangement withhold of the bride, from makeup to washroom duties while Raghav took the grooms part initiatively. Darshan was given to search a best event planner so they could easily get access to a good place and subsidiaries.

Tiger was given the food section from tasting to exhibition because Nikhil said a personal touch in every section should be necessary to make the guests feel more loved, while Nikhil's parents took care of the priest and marriage rituals the family from girl's side decided to take in charge of welcoming guests.

Finally the marriage was a success with loads of awes, smiles, groans and physical draining.

This is what happens when your friends announce to get hitched within a week without any prior discussion, planning and understanding!

The media was as usual nagging at all the events, so Nikhil gave them the permission to attend few rituals. At first Sejal tried evading the reporters but soon getting used to it and knowing all they wanted was a picture she gave in also trying few poses discreetly.

The wedding rituals were completed in jiffy with Nikhil forgetting to put on his socks, Raghav tripping badly on the carpet when the bride and groom were in the last round of seven phera's and Darshan letting out a loud groan of sympathy for Nikhil after the announcement of husband and wife respectively; stating that the dark realm of life will start now for his twin brother!

Sejal and Aryan sponsored the honeymoon trip for the newlywed couple as a wedding gift while Darshan had already given his gift; he paid for all wedding suits and gowns for the couple.

"Darshan, can you go with the photographers?"

Darshan nodded effectively knowing that would be the easiest task for now, because watching the workers clear up the venue would be more of a tiresome and boring job instead he could spend his precious time staring at the photos of the wedding and find the worst pictures of everybody to laugh at them.

Sejal was busy checking with the catering staff along with Tiger, because they had a reception also to host the day after tomorrow. Aryan walked to where Sejal was and circled an arm around her neck making her release a startling reaction.

"You are not yourself these days, what's up Dr Shetty?"

Watching Tiger ignoring them Aryan gave a small peck on her lips making Sejal blush discreetly. This wasn't the Aryan she knew, this version was more caring and loving or to just sum up more expressive in love.

"I didn't know showing affection is a sin now days." Aryan said smiling cockily at Sejal which turned down into a romantic stare down for a long moment before Tiger interrupted their moment again, things have more likely turned out like it's become his thing for always ending up in the wrong situations.

"Tiger, we are leaving, can you manage this all alone?"

"Trust me. I have seen well."

Sejal chuckled on the choice of line Tiger used on the occasion; shouldn't it be used when trying to discriminate a girl? Oh-such a bad waste of a good come back!

"See you Tiger, I will get my heels."

Tiger gave a hysterical laugh watching Aryan holding a pair of pink heels in his hands; Sejal thanked him for bringing them and even gave a skeptical look to Tiger for his nonsense of behaviour.

"Have a great night ahead."

Aryan said and lifted up his Sejal, laughing at the vibrations made by her little squeals of protests to let her walk. He knew how much she was suffering in those heels since the second she put them on and this was the only subtle way he found out to help her.

"Dr Shetty let me down or else –"

Aryan laughed knowing there was nothing that Sejal could threaten him with unless she knew about his ophidian phobia; kissing her hair he realized how much crazy Sejal can drive him. He wanted to shout and tell the world how much he loved this girl but this wasn't the right time.

"I am going to cry!"

Aryan pouted like a small baby and shouted not working, loosening his grip on her waist Aryan laughed at how Sejal screamed being afraid of falling down.

Sejal hit him little punches on his back punishing him for unnecessarily scaring her to which he just laughed and gave a tiny kiss of affection on her forehead, making her jerk her heads sideways as an act of display of how angry she was. Aryan just planted another kiss in her hair then dropping her in the passenger seat of his car and locking her seatbelt as if she were a baby.

"I am old enough to that myself."

Aryan laughed at how cute Sejal was looking pulling that act of an angry woman, settling on his driver seat he fired the engine which sounded like a hyena laughing although he had no idea if they could even laugh.

"Where are we going? Okay- let me rephrase it, why did you kidnap me?"

"Guess it, but only in your head because I want my dose of music after a long tiring day."

Sejal couldn't help but only scowl at how Aryan was behaving, like so out of place. Because he was so much laughing and smiling, and let's not even get started with his playful mood. He was such a changed man in these few days.

A secret smile was creeping on her face which she dodged off immediately because Sejal was in no interest to give that satisfaction to Aryan because he wasn't telling to where they were going. She was so happy to see this lovely side of Aryan where he could be a family man and care for everybody like a normal human instead of his usual cold and gruffly stuffing nature.

"Are we at a public bathing house?"

Sejal asked not believing her eyes that Aryan had parked the car in front of some Surya Bathing, horrified she turned to Aryan who looked a bit confused then started laughing making her replay whatever she spoke because she didn't remember cracking a joke.

"Your sense of humor is so sensible."

Aryan got down from the car and opened her door unbuckling her seatbelt as Sejal still was in shock that Aryan bought them to a public bath, was he running out of water at his home?

"No, I am not running out of water neither soaps nor shampoos."

Sejal couldn't believe she has again started speaking her head out, but what she couldn't believe more was she fell for that distraction trick again and now Aryan was carrying her bridal style to the public bath and she couldn't even run away.

"I didn't know you had such gross fantasies."

"It's not working Muneca."

"Gosh! If I say I am royally pissed now, then?"

Splash! Within a flash of second Sejal fell into a pool of water struggling to breathe due to the sudden series of action; she being thrown in the water, salty and chlorinated water entering her nostrils, and she coming out of the water full in rage just to watch Aryan smiling like the brightest star in the sky.

And this should be termed royally pissed!

Sejal watched Aryan settling on the edge of the pool removing his shoes and socks, dropping his legs slowly into the pool as she realized they were not in a bathing house but instead in a swimming pool and now the water felt a bit warmer like specially heated for an occasion. Turning around with her wet hair sticking to the body like slew Sejal realized that only they were present in the whole place, not even a worker around.

"It's creepy."

"What? In being alone with me?"

Aryan said raking his eyes on her body which was flowing underwater making her realize she was wearing a transparent top from before and now it was a see through because of the water subsidiaries.

"Liking what you see?"

Aryan gave a smirk still watching her with lust but soon enough it was morphed with a playful laughter as he got up trying to leave to change into some swimming clothes but Sejal had quick reflexes as she pulled his feet making him trip head first into the swimming pool soon gasping for air from the sudden shock of current in the water.

Now it was the reversal expression contest, because Sejal gave a giggling smile on seeing Aryan struggling for few seconds in the water.

"Karma is a royal bitch Dr Shetty."

Sejal said and started swimming backwards away from her prey ready to attack because the word pissed was all written over his face.

"Classically I agree."

That was the last thing Sejal heard before her head got throttled into the chlorinated water again, her legs flapped like the tail dying fish as she struggled to breathe. This feeling felt so cold maybe this is how death feels like.

Keeping her eyes tightly shut Sejal managed to bring Aryan under the water pulling his tie which made him loosen the grip on her head, taking the advantage she pushed her legs upward with whatever strength she had and with her other hand kept drowning Aryan.

Because she wasn't somebody who would wait for a sorry from a man instead Sejal believed in taking matters in her own hands.

"Huh. Karma Dr Shetty. And my eyes don't like the water so don't you dare put me inside again!"

Sejal said pulling him out of the water, surprisingly he wasn't anything like her; Aryan was completely breathing normal and he had not even struggled for his life like her in the water.

"Nice swimming techniques."

Sejal said being honestly impressed with his talent of not dying in one minute under the water.

"You can also do that. How much you panic that much the water will scare you, so just embrace it and channel all your thoughts into something very deep and intensifying which will keep you focused on something else than the chlorinated water."

Sejal could only nod because she was surprised to meet the philosophical Aryan and more over he was now just inches apart from her face as she sensed his grip on her waist not realising when he managed to do pull her towards him.

"What did you channel your thoughts into?"

Sejal asked shivering maybe because of the water cooling down in the swimming pool or the close proximity their lips were in.

"About my happy life."

Sejal couldn't form a reply because if she tried speaking now their lips would touch and she didn't wanted to spoil the fun of the tease they were playing around with.

Sejal closed her eyes in anticipation of a kiss but it felt more hot and frustrating when she found the pair of lips on her cheeks instead of her lips, but just the taste of his lips started shooting electricity in her nerves so she arched her neck to kiss him.

Aryan didn't want to kiss her here because he knew if they start it now then there was no backing out and as much as he wished to devour her at the moment he didn't wanted to make any new scandal jeopardizing her first interview which is due in a week.

So he turned around and splashed water on the sides clouding the distance between them, Sejal was looking damn hot in the water and all he wanted to do is take her down there making him wonder why he always ends up making things torturous, being thankful for the water hiding his hard on.

Watching Sejal play around the water he was sure that she was the one for him because he was always himself around her, although they don't talk much about family and relationships she understands his space and never questions his private affairs.

Aryan felt ready to take up the commitment with her because he was so in love with her and maybe trusts her on his life. He started wondering whether boyfriends generally propose for marriage after they realize their true feelings or talk to the guardian.

~

"I think Neville was the best character in the whole series."

Darshan put out his statements arranging few plates on the dining table, Sejal couldn't argue more and even not understand one minute they were talking about green onion and tequila while the next moment they jumped into Harry Potter characters.

"Is anybody joining us?"

Sejal asked suspiciously as Darshan had put four plates, it was another of his those days that he didn't have a dinner companion so he just drove all the way to her apartment bringing some takeout food along.

"Umm. Yeah, sorry I didn't tell you. Raghav and maybe Tiger is coming."

Darshan said with a sheepish grin, Sejal didn't have any problems because the flat felt lonelier now that Katyusha was also married who was enjoying her honeymoon in Paris at the moment.

"Do you want to ask anything?"

Sejal didn't have an answer to that question, she watched a new message popping in her inbox. It's been three days after the swimming pool incident and now she was highly expecting a message from him because he was out on a business trip to Sweden along with her father.

Killing all her hope Sejal frowned seeing the message.

You with Darshan?

-Katyusha

Yeah...having dinner

-Sejal

OMG!

:]

Enjoy your date!

-Katyusha

WTF!!??

You better enjoy your honeymoon!

Bye!

-Sejal

"Does Dr Shetty have a father?"

After speaking she realized how stupid that sounded, obviously he has a father!

"He never talked about his father."

Darshan said chuckling to which Sejal just gave an embarrassing nod.

"But yeah, I may regret telling you this but still I am anyhow saying it. Aryan has a problem with commitments because of his parents. I even heard once that his sister was a mistake of their unplanned activities so they eventually married, they were happy until Miss Pandey started making big name in the fashion industry. Then they screwed up bad, like very bad. When they started having differences in their relationship they applied for a mutual divorce both of them not wanting the children. I don't know much about how they divided their children."

Sejal drank a glass of water trying to gulp in all the information with every sip realising that is the reason he never forced for sex and the commitment was the most obvious thing that could happen to a person after seeing their family fall apart.

She realized how similar they were in terms of having a broken family. Maybe that is why they said a breaking person can be healed by someone broken only!

"Am I in the right time for dessert?"

Sejal turned around to find Viona standing at the door smiling with a nice paper bag, confused of why she was here Sejal looked at Darshan who gave another of his master sheepish grins to her.

. . . . .
