[Third person pov]

"What's wrong?" Nyree asked after telling Gyeongsu that she'd be back noticing Nam-ra speeding up reaching out to grab su-hyeok. "I don't think I can control it anymore" she panicked, "A voice in my head is telling me to just eat everyone."

Nyree stopped running and pulled her back motioning to gwi-nam come over while the others continued to run for their lives. "One of us, meaning you gwi-nam. Lead them to the right place. I don't think it's smart for us to go with them in our condition. Especially with Nam-ra about to eat up all our friends." She stated.

The next thing the both of them knew, Nam-ra was banging her head on the stone wall. "What...The..Fuck" Nyree remarked astounded. "What the fuck indeed." Gwi-nam agreed.

"She's biting herself too.. Don't tell me it's a side effect?" Nyree asked creeped out."Not for me" He shrugged. Nyree went over to her and pulled her into an embrace comforting her. "Maybe we should find you something to eat? Preferably not out friends?" Nyree jokingly whispered.

Nam-ra was breathing heavily and nodded. "We'll be right back" Nyree said. Gwi-nam made his way back before her. She ran to find Gyeongsu, not wanting to leave him without any warning. Nam-ra wasn't in any shape or form to do any of that. He was lingering near the back of the group waiting for his Girlfriend and other two friends to come back.

"su, we have to go" Nyree grabbed his wrist gently pulling him to a stop. "Where are we going?" Gyeongsu questioned."Not us unfortunately. Just me and Nam-ra for now but Gwi-nam later on." She said.

"What do you mean?" He asked eyebrows bunched up in confusion. "I mean.. I don't think we should go over there with you guys." She pondered on what she was going to say next,"Nam-ra can't handle it. She might lose control."

"What does that mean for us?" He asked thinking she was going to break up with him. "Wha- nothing! I just wanted to tell you so you wouldn't freak out when you didn't see me. We'll still find a way to communicate though, okay?" She said reassuring him,"I just need to stay here with Nam-ra and I need you to help keep everyone in check."

"Y'know.. I'll miss annoying you everyday. But if it's for the best and for everyone's safety then I'll have to find a way to at least annoy you sometimes." He joked covering up his sadness, "Don't try and find a zombie boyfriend either."

"What, me? Pssh. I wouldn't dream of it (this is making me sad 😟)" Nyree laughed tearing up. It was time to go back so she had to finish it up with Gyeongsu. "Gwi-nam, I'm going to find something to eat for her. Maybe there's a supermarket with raw meat around here." Nyree started,"you stay and help them. Then come find us."

"See you whenever" Nyree turned her attention back to Gyeongsu giving him a chaste kiss on the cheek and began running back to where Nam-ra was suffering at, resisting the urge to meet the hot gaze she felt on her back.

"You're sure they'll come? It's been 4 months since we've seen them. We've been waiting here since the sun went down. This is like day 2" Nyree whined. "No" Nam-ra shrugged. "She's just hoping that one of them will see this bright ass fire" gwi-nam rolled his eyes.

Nyree turned her head in the direction of the staircase. "Is that them? Or just the others?" She asked.

"It's them" Nam-ra smiled. "Should we hide?"

"duh"

"Who do you think it was?" Hyo-ryung asked. "Hopefully it was my girlfriend" Gyeongsu rolled his eyes. "Maybe.. it was kids who came back to the school like us." Dae-su said."Maybe it was a YouTuber or something. Kids who like haunted houses." Mi-Jin guessed. Before the others could make guesses on-jo spoke, "No. It was Nam-ra."

"she probably lit it up because they miss us." She said withing cheong-san's embrace. "Mm.. That makes sense" Cheong-san agreed. "How do you know that?" Hyo-ryung asked. On-jo looked down,"I don't. But I think I do"

Nam-ra suggested it was time that the three of them came out of their hiding spots. Well just her and Nyree because Gwi-nam was literally just standing out of sight.

"You made it." Nam-ra said happily coming from what it seemed like out of nowhere to her human friends. "Hey guys. Longtime no see su!" Nyree smiled waving. Gwi-nam just nodded at them and went to his Girlfriend.

Gyeongsu opened his arms inviting Nyree for a long deserved hug. She, of course, ran and tacked him (much like the one before). Nam-ra walked up to the others and Nyree just toned out everything focusing on Gyeongsu.

"Are you cold?" Nyree asked Gyeongsu who was hugging her waist as they were sprawled out on the floor. "Me? No? I'm the warmest I've ever been." He laughed.

"You want to meet my 'hambie' friends?" She asked excited,"I've told them about you like a million times. I'm sure they don't believe me"

"Hell yeah!" He agreed right away. They watched as Nam-ra jumped off the roof. "Show-off" Nyree scoffed as she pulled Gyeongsu to the steps.

AHHH!! I'm going to miss them 😿. On a another note, this is officially the longest book I've written. I want to explain why it's so long (amount of chapter wise). It's so long because I know if I had to write long chapters everyday I would lose motivation and quit it.
