Jackson McKiernan, or as he is more affectionately known as Jack, isn't afraid of commitment. He's actually wary of the complications that are attached to it.

After returning from South Korea, and being reunited with his family, Jack wants to do nothing but spend some quality time with the people he loves while also getting a good, college education. His mother, however, has different plans in store for him.

Mrs McKiernan, in short, wants to hear the patter of little feet echoing throughout the house. So like any impatient mother out there, she takes it upon herself to make such a thing possible. Since her eldest son leans more towards the rebellious side and has openly declined her suggestion on numerous occasions, she has no choice but to turn to her next best option, Jack. What does she do you wonder?

She decides to play matchmaker for her youngest son by sending him on dozens of blind dates!

Jack doesn't understand why the woman is so insistent on him finding a girlfriend. He's only twenty years old, for crying out loud! He's still young and healthy. He's got plenty of time to be able to put love on hold for the time being.

Besides, there are over seven billion people in the world. He's confident that he won't die a lonely man. Eventually, he'll find somebody who will have the ability to shake his heart like no one else can. He just doesn't think that'll happen in the near future. Perhaps in a couple of years or so, who knows?

In his opinion, he doesn't need to settle down right now, especially when he's at the prime of his youth. Jack wants to travel the world, venture into the unknown and explore all of the marvelous things life has to offer him. He wants to live life to the fullest without having to worry about anyone else except for himself.

All of that changes, though, after he crosses path with a girl, who is just as cautious with commitment as he is. A girl who makes him question everything he's ever known.

Without even trying, she can make Jack lose himself with a simple bat of her luscious lashes. The ironic part?

Whenever he's with her, he doesn't want to be found.

3) This is a spin-off of my first work entitled Playing for the Same Team. Yes, it is the same Jack that is Charlie's cousin. You don't have to read that book, in order to understand this one. The timeframe of the story will somewhat coincide with PST.
