Justin: Too bad you're not going to be there.

Shawn: Ikr. Just make sure you tell Ace merry Christmas when u see her, ok?

Justin: No prob. Have fun!

Ace sat bored out of her mind, listening half-heartedly to Mrs. Wilkins. She looks over at Robin, who catches her eye and holds up a 3 and a 0.

'30 seconds, then Christmas break.' Ace thinks, counting down. '5...4...3...2...and...' the bell rings and the sophomore class rushes out with a cheer of joy.

"It's finally here!" Robin exclaims.

"I know! Can't wait to hit up the trails with all the snow we'll have." Ace replies.

"Don't forget me!" The two girls laugh as Peter throws himself through them, walking backwards.

"If you trip, I'm going to laugh." Ace says.

"I won't trip. I've got my Spidey-sense to warn me..." Peter trails off as he falls on his butt. Ace bursts out laughing, fist-bumping Robin. "Hey, that wasn't very nice." Peter complains.

"But it was funny." Robin laughs, pulling the boy up. Ace nods.

"Too bad Shawn wasn't here to see it. You calling him later?" Ace asks. Robin nods.

"Can we get home first? It's freezing!" Ace looks at Peter and Robin with a smile.

"Race you there!"

Robin: U guys there? We're on our way, coming in hot.

Justin: Just got upstairs. Ace's dad is cool stuff!

Robin: Ikr, and kk. See u soon.

Smiling, Ace watches Robin stumble to a stop.

"How...do you...run that far?" Robin pants.

"Elementary, my dear Robin." Ace smirks. Robin sighs.

"Where's Peter?" Robin asks.

"I don't know. I thought he was with you." Ace says.

"Here." Peter drops down next to them.

"You little cheater!" Robin exclaims. Peter chuckles sheepishly, hiding his wrist. Ace reaches over and pulls his arm out, revealing the webshooter.

"Weren't you just saying 'Cheaters never prosper'?" Ace says.

"Well..." Peter starts, but yelps when Robin punches him. "Ow! That hurt!"

"Aw, you poor baby." Robin rolls her eyes.

"Hey, don't hurt my baby." Ace says sarcastically, pulling Peter close. Peter does a poochy-lip and stares at Robin sadly.

"Well, you can have him." Robin states with a laugh.

"Can we go inside now? I'm hungry." Peter asks.

"Lead the way."

"Why is it so dark?" Ace asks, feeling for the light switch. Finding it, she flips the lights on.

"Oh. Hey, guys." Ace stares in surprise at Justin. He, Tyler, Clara, and Julia were casually lounging on the couches.

"How...what...you...How did you guys get here?" Ace finally spits out. Robin winks at Justin.

"Let's just say you have some amazing friends." He smiles.

"We were going to surprise you and Shawn, but we didn't realize Shawn was on vaca. Shawn hooked Justin up with Robin's number and it went from there." Julia explains.

"So...surprise!" Tyler says, waving his hands. 

"You guys are the best!" Ace says, hugging them all.

"So..." Clara holds up Ace's movie collection. "...movie, anyone?"
