No Mercy

It's been two days since the party and school had started up again. The day after the party, Cherry drove Miguel home, then she went to visit Sam. She didn't even knock when the door flew open and Sam pulled Cherry into a hug, apologizing. "I didn't mean to, Cherry. But I was thinking about him and I think I really did like him. But I know I shouldn't because I'm with Robby. I'm sorry I kissed him - I was drunk." Cherry had shushed the girl and they went up to Sam's room. "I get it, you were drunk. I can forgive you, but I can't forget." "I understand."

"Does Robby know?"

"No, but I'll tell him."

Cherry shook her head and continued getting ready. Cherry was dressed in black tights with blue jean shorts over them, a grey oversized Queen shirt that she tucked in to her shorts, and her black leather jacket. She quickly tied on her black combat boots, put her hair into two french braids and grabbed her things.

After eating a quick breakfast, she headed over to Miguel's and sent him a text, informing him that she had arrived. Miguel entered her car and quickly kissed her before she drove them to school. Once they arrived, they greeted the rest of Cobra Kai. "Has anyone seen Tory?"

"I haven't seen her since the night of the party?"

"Tony?"

Everyone turned to said boy. "She's locked herself in her room and wouldn't let anyone in. This morning, I picked the lock, but she wasn't in there." Everyone gave each other worried looks and Cherry felt on edge. "What got her angry?" Aisha asked. "I don't know," Tony sighed.

Everyone nodded and they all walked into the school building.

Cherry's phone buzzed.

To: Cherry
From: Tory

You're gonna have to pick a side.

"Babe? You okay?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah. My dad texted, told me to have a good first day." Miguel smiled at Cherry and they separated to go to their lockers. "Have a good day, I love you." "Have a good day, love you too." Miguel wanted to call Johnny, but Johnny didn't answer, so he left a voicemail. Cherry was about to enter her first class when she saw Robby. "Robby?" Said boy turned around and he smiled when he saw Cherry. "Hey, Cherry." Robby pulled her into a quick hug, one that Cherry returned. "So, you're dad told me that you're living with him now. How's that going?"

"We're working on it, trying to fix our relationship. You know, he talks about you a lot. Said that you're like a daughter to him." Cherry smiled at that. "Well tell him he's like a father to me." "I will. I better go find Sam, but I'll see you later?" "Yeah, definitely."

Cherry sighed as she watched him walk away, then she entered the classroom. "Cherry." The redhead looked around and saw Moon who was waving her over. "Hey. Did you get in any trouble with your parents?" Cherry asked after the two hugged. "No, I'm all good."

Cherry nodded and class started.

Towards the end of class, the vice principal began to make an announcement.

"Goodmorning students and faculty. Welcome to a brand new year at West Valley High. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to dive back into the school year." Cherry had drowned her out, but she zoned back in when she heard ruckus. "Hey!" "Move."

"You're not supposed to be in here! Give that back! Ow!" It sounded like the lady fell and it was quiet for a second. "You're not allowed to -" "Samantha LaRusso." Cherry knew it was Tory who was speaking. "You know what you did, and now you're gonna pay for it. Cherry Bennington, you're gonna have to chose a side fast. Sam. . . I'm coming for you bitch!" As soon as the bell rang, Cherry grabbed her bag and bolted out of the classroom. She was running around the school until she saw Sam and Tory fighting. Robby had intervened and had Tory up agaisnt a wall.

"Let go of my sister!" Tony ran in and tackled Robby. Cherry dropped her bag and ran towards the girls.

"Tory, back off!"

"She kissed Miguel!"

"She was drunk!"

"Still."

"She's my friend."

Tory glared. "So was I."

Tory immediately lunged towards Cherry, but Cherry blocked her. She kicked her away, and Tony now had hold of Cherry. "What the hell, Cherry?" Tory went to attack Cherry, but Sam kicked her. "Cherry!" Upon seeing Miguel, Robby began to fight him. "Tony, I don't want to hurt you." "I don't care." And with that, Tony punched her.

"Fine. If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get." Tony attacked Cherry, but she blocked him. "Oh it is on!" Cherry heard Hawk yelled. Hawk immediately tore Tony off of Cherry and he nodded at her. "Sam's your friend. But Cobra Kai for life." "Cobra Kai for life." Hawk helped her up, but then Cherry used him as a pole and she kicked Tony away.

"Nice."

Cherry nodded and Hawk went to fight someone else. Cherry went to follow his lead, but then Tony kicked her. "I can't believe you chose them!" "I wanted to stop the fight! I'm Cobra Kai for life, Tony." "You may have everyone else fooled, but you don't fool me and my sister. We see right through you."

Cherry yelled and lunged at him.

Multiple fights broke out within the hallways. Cherry saw that a guy shoved Aisha, but then she began to fight him. Tony suddenly pushed her and Cherry groaned when her head hit a locker. She quickly moved out of the way from Tony's punch. "You're not a Cobra, Cherry. You're just a scared little girl. You don't deserve Miguel - he'd be better off with Tory. Why did I even like you?" Angered, Cherry stopped being defense and began to be offense. She yelled as she kicked and punched Tony. After wrapping her legs around him and slamming him to the ground, she ran after Sam and Tory.

She saw Tory punching Sam, so she quickly tackled her. "I said stop!" Tory kicked her off and right into Tony's arms. Tory got in a few punches before Sam pulled her away. Seeing them run up the stairs, Cherry hit Tony with the back of her head and elbowed him.

"Are you okay?" Miguel had rushed over and Cherry nodded. "Behind you!" They both yelled and turned around. Their backs were against one another as they fought. Cherry kicked away Tony and she ran up the stairs for the girls, but Tony pulled her leg, causing her to fall.

She turned, kicked his face, and got back up. "This isn't a tournament. There are no rules." Cherry saw Tory using her spiked bracelet and she got worried.

"No!"

Cherry got in the way and she felt the spikes cut her stomach.

"Cherry!"

Cherry groaned as she fell to the ground in pain. Tory then tackled Sam.

"No mercy."

Cherry tackled Tory and hauled her up. Sam got up and together, they kicked Tory who went down some of the stairs. The two turned to one another and chuckled. "I see we still make a good team." Cherry chuckled but hissed and held her stomach. "Are you okay?" "Don't worry about me. Are you okay?" Suddenly, they saw something horrible. Robby had pushed Miguel off the top railing and Miguel was falling. "Miguel!" She watched in horror as Miguel's back hit the railing and he landed on the stairs.

Cherry rushed over to Miguel and held his head in her hands.

"We need an ambulance at West Valley high."

"Robby what did you do?"

Cherry began to cry and a cop tried to pull her away. "No! No!" Hawk took hold of Cherry and he held her as she cried.

Cherry was in the hospital, along with Miguel, Sam, and a few other kids. She was getting stitches from the wound she had on her stomach caused by Tory. After the nurse left, Johnny walked in. "Hey kid." As soon as Johnny was in arms reached, Cherry pulled the man into a hug. "Miguel." "I know, it's okay. It's gonna be okay." Cherry continued to sob, Kreese's words entered here mind.

"But just as they let their guard down, that's when you strike your hardest."

Cherry let her guard down.

What's going to happen now?

Cherry has to stay in the hospital until her parents come for her. Later that night, she received a text from Hawk.

Johnny is no longer our sensei. Kreese is. Are you in?

Kreese is back.

Oh shit.
