Comeback Book!

I don't know how or why I thought of this.

Many people on this platform have been bullied in the past or are currently being bullied now.

And as someone who used to be bullied, it's not fun when you don't have a comeback.

So- we're gonna write some general insults and come up with good comebacks TOGETHER!!!

Here are some I've thought of already:

"You're so fat."

"If I'm fat, you must be obese."

Or, alternatively:

"At least I got some meat on me, you walking chicken strip."

Just some ideas. You guys can come up with some insults and comebacks in the comments and I'll feature them in future chapters!

This isn't a book that I made to condone bullying or being rude, it's basically about self-protection.

Because I remember being that 5-year-old girl with no idea what to say when those mean kids on the bus were bullying me.

I remember those torturous three years of having bus drivers do nothing, my mother doing nothing, and me not having any way to combat it or defend myself. From Kindergarten to the 3rd grade. And nothing changed besides the older kids moving on to middle school.

I remember in the 5th grade where I was bullied by this kid and struggled to defend myself. Only when that would happen, I would at least have friends willing to defend me.

I remember when I was in the 6th grade in my 6th period language class. The kid next to me, diagonally to me, and behind me gave me shit for the whole year. Oh, how quickly my favorite class became my least favorite. How every other day, I would dread entering that class. How I felt horrible every time they said something.

The 7th grade, once again, nothing to say to her. She'd make fun of me, the people there thought it was joking. It didn't feel like joking. I wasn't okay with it.

The 8th grade, and I had to deal with that shit again. A little better with defending myself, but mostly I just had to ignore it.

But no longer, my friends. We will be stronger. We will learn to protect ourselves, throwing back the words that once taunted us.

There's no reason to live in fear when we can all work together here and fight back against bullying. ❤️
