When Lo opened his eyes again, he was soaring over their house in Cloud 8. They landed on the beach, and Ava collapsed on the ground, unconscious.

Lo laid back in the sand, slightly relieved. A glint caught his eye on the horizon, it was the head angel with Skylar. Flying with some cage behind them. He sat up.

The angels landed on the beach with them, cage in tow.

"Hi?" Lo said apprehensively.

"This is your girlfriend," said Skylar. True to her point, there she was in the cage, prying at the bars to no avail.

"What's wrong with her?"

"She appears to be corrupted by demon energy, which is easily fixable. We do it all the time," said the head angel. "She has a considerable amount attached to her though."

"What about Ava?"

Skylar crouched down beside her and placed her hand on her forehead. "She appears to be losing her angel power. This sadly is how angels die."

Lo stood suddenly. "Can you fix it? She can't die. I already lost a friend today..."

"She will live. But she will have to come with us."

"I think that's a risk we'll have to take."

Both angels nodded and Ava levitated before shooting off into the distance. They placed their hands on the cage and it melted. Tetra lunged towards Skylar, but the angel grabbed her arm and held her in place.

"Be still, girl," said the head angel. He placed his hand on her forehead and she froze.

Tetra began shaking violently. Lo stepped forward to help her, but the head angel pushed him away.

The purple flames disappeared from her hair and her eyes returned to their usual blue. Lo sighed in relief.

"It should be gone now," Skylar said. She let Tetra go and Lo caught her to keep her from falling.

"Tet?" Lo said to his girlfriend. Her eyes slowly fluttered open.

"Lo?" she said softly. Her voice was back to normal.

A single tear cascaded down his face. "I got scared that I lost you."

"You can't get rid of me that easily." She coughed a bit. Lo sat her up.

"It's gonna be okay, I promise."

She nodded, but before she could respond the coughing became more violent, causing Lo to stand her up instead.

He looked at Sky. "What's wrong?"

Skylar only shrugged and materialized a bucket of popcorn to watch. Lo glared at her and turned to Tetra, who was bent over, hands on her knees.  He rested her hand on her back, but he didn't know how to help.

"Hold her hair, mortal," Sky chuckled to herself. "Maybe that would help?"

Tetra collapsed to the ground, motionless. Purple liquid spilled from her mouth, pooling in front of her.

Lo backed away as the purple liquid rose, forming a humanoid shape. Once it finished rising, details painted themselves all over its featureless body.

It became Tetra. A slightly shorter, purple version of her. The amber eyes stood out to Lo.

"You," Lo said. "You stole her identity."

"No," the creature said. "I am her. Well, the opposite of her. You can call me...Andie."

"That's 'anti' in Ancient Greek," noted the head angel.

"Exactly. The anti-Tetra. A couple of sips of demon blood and that sword made me possible. Now, I'm going to terrorize Cloud 8 and beyond."

"Okay that's enough," said the head angel. He waved his hand and Andie vanished.

Lo asked, "Where did you send her?"

"Down to Hell. They like those kinds of things. Now, let's be off Skylar." The angels rose and flew away.

Lo sat down beside Tetra's motionless body and felt her heartbeat. The sun was setting, it looked beautiful.

"I wish you were awake to see this Tet." The sea breeze cooled him a bit. "At least it's over, for now."

He laid beside her and closed his eyes.
