Ch. 36 - Stop
AN: Less humor more drama but don't worry, there'll be humor again.
Harry's POV
"I told you not to get involved with those people." My father, lectured, fixing his collar as I glared at him, running my hand through my hair in frustration as I took in a deep breath.
Fucking arrogant bastard.
Even named his own industry after his first and last name, Seth Styles.
Give me a bloody break.
"I already told you I'm not so can we just drop it." I snapped, not knowing if I could contain myself any longer if my asshole of a dad kept bringing her up.
"I've been seeing that girl around here often, especially in your office." He stated, sending me a pointed look as I clenched my fists at my sides.
"That girl has a fucking name, don't talk about her like you know her. You don't, she's not like that." I said before I could stop myself, my breathing heavy as he raised his brow at me.
"Seems as though you fancy her."
"Well it seems to me you like her as well since you can't seem to drop the fucking subject, especially with your little hobby of preying on younger woman." I seethed, gritting my teeth making my father's eyes widen at my harsh words.
I more than fancied Natalie.
I was absolutely infatuated with her, she was my best friend, my everything.
"Do not start with me Harry. I already told you, if I find out that you are involved with that girl and you're trying to postpone the demolition for her I'll take care of the shops myself and you will have no say in it what so ever." He threatened making me narrow my eyes at him in irritation.
Fuck.
I can't let him think that I'm involved with Nat, not yet at least or all my chances of me saving the stores will be gone.
I would've taken the time to explain everything to her but it was too risky to keep her in my office or in this building at all.
Now I can't even visit or contact her outside of work since she's been avoiding me, ignoring my calls, my texts, I sat in front of her damn door till three in the morning and she didn't even come out to see me.
"We don't need to postpone the demolition. I'm not doing it." I informed, walking back over to my desk as my father watched me.
"You're canceling it?" He growled as I rolled my eyes before I took out a manilla file from under the pile of paperwork I had on my desk.
"I found a better location for our new hotel, it's a bare area right at the edge of town near the forest but close enough to civilization that guests can enjoy both." I explained in a firm tone, handing him the file with the pictures of the land and the information I had researched all last night about it.
Seth opened the file in his hands, looking through the pages and documents as I silently imagined shoving them down his throat for his constant insults towards Natalie.
"I'm very impressed, how did you find this place-"
"Doesn't matter. I have already made plans to move the construction over there tomorrow." I cut in, not letting him finish his sentence as I sat back down in my chair behind my desk.
"You know you will need to do a lot of paperwork with this spontaneous decision of yours. You'll have to call many clients and investors and inform and persuade them about the new location. That will take at least a week if you work day and night." Seth said, giving me a suspicious look as I glared at him.
"I know what I've gotten myself into and I'm fine with it." I told him.
"And you're doing this for the interest of the hotel chainline... right son.." He said in a low voice, still sounding unconvinced as I held back a scoff.
"For the hotel." I repeated.
For Natalie.
He didn't look like he believed me but he dropped the subject and left my office, finally leaving me to the shit load of work fof myself.
I was going to buy the land the shops were on with all the money I've ever saved up without my father knowing, that way he'll never be able to tear down what Natalie cared so much about.
I won't let him or anyone else do that to her.
I spent the rest of the next days and nights sleepless, never leaving my office unless to use the bathroom as I filed paper after paper and conversing with clients on the phone.
Other than that I would order Kathy to bring me meals whenever I was hungry and then send her away since her presence annoyed the fuck out of me.
I began to eat less, wanting nothing more than to finish all my deals and get everything over with so I can go back to Natalie and explain everything.
I only went home to shower, bringing the paper work until I went back to my office and stayed over night.
The late night working with no sleep always seemed to be the hardest, it was harder to focus, harder to be more alert and really understand everything I was saying and hearing and reading.
But it was also one of the easiest things to do since I kept my cell phone in front of me with a picture of Natalie on my phone screen, reminding me exactly why I was doing this and motivating me.
I lost track of how many days I had been trapped in my office before I started to feel dizzy, my vision blurring in and out once every now and again while I started to sweat profusely.
By the time I was finished with everything I realized that the pen in my hand was shaking, my whole body feeling one hundred times hotter than normal as I rested my forehead against the cool wood of my desk and groaned out in pain at the pounding headache I was having.
I didn't even realize I passed out until I woke up to the feeling of small hands rubbing the back of my shoulders.
"You poor thing, you're gonna work yourself to death." Kathy cooed from behind making me cringe at her high pitched voice.
My face was still hidden in my arms, pressed against my desk as I tried shrugging her hands off me, too tired to speak and tell her to not touch me.
It didn't matter because even in my cloudy weakened state all I could think about was Natalie and how happy she would be to hear about the cancellation.
I do regret everything I said to her out of anger, I didn't mean it, I was just frustrated.
I've never really had to take other people's feelings in consideration very often because most of the time I didn't care...
Until now of course.
It was like I could still hear her voice in my head, calling for me, saying my name-
"Mr. Styles doesn't want to see you Natalie!" I heard Kathy hiss from behind me.
"Yo, I've really been trying to be nice to you but I am about two seconds away from dragging your ass, and can you stop calling him Mr. Styles, it's weird." I heard Nat's voice say from the entrance of my office.
"Natalie." I said with excitement, quickly bringing my head up from my desk to find her standing at the door, the room spinning a bit before I finally focused in on her.
"Hi homeboy, I heard about you moving your new hotel." She smiled, giving me a small playful wave as my heart almost stopped at the sight of how beautiful her smile was.
I missed her so much.
"I don't mean to interrupt your reunion sir but your father is coming up to your office soon." Kathy lowered her head, making my body tense when I realized her hands were still on my shoulders as she whispered in my ear.
Her breath smelled like onions and I almost gagged if I wasn't internally panicking about the fact that my father would find Nat here again.
He would definitely know.
"Yeah so I just wanted to say that was really cool of you and thank-"
"Natalie you have to go." I interrupted, looking frantically between her and the open door to check if my father was coming by.
"Oh right, sorry I can see that you're um, busy," Nat awkwardly began, rubbing the side of her arm as her gaze shifted towards Kathy behind me for a millesecond before she regained her composure and looked back at me with tinted pink cheeks.
It took everything in me not to run and hug her for how adorable she was acting.
"Natalie I'll explain everything later but you really need to leave. I don't want to see you in my office here again be-" I said, standing up only for the whole room to spin and my knees to wobble as I fell back in surprise, crashing against Kathy from behind who immediatly wrapped her arms around me, stroking my hair making me want to vomit at her touch.
Natalie took a few steps forward, concern flashing over her small face as she tried to approach me and if Kathy wasn't holding me back I would most definitely walk over and lean into her arms if I hadn't seen my dad arrive at the door behind her.
Fuck, I haven't bought the land where the shops are yet and if he finds out all my hard work will be for nothing.
He'll use the new land I offered him for the hotel and then demolish the shops just for the hell of it, just because he can if he knew how much I cared about them.
"Did you not hear me? I said get out!" I yelled at Nat, my heart aching when I saw her flinch at my harsh attitude before she raised her hands in surrender, backing away from me as my father sent me a proud smile.
Now I know this time I was going to vomit.
"Alright chill... I'm leaving. I just wanted to thank you." Nat said, giving me one last look as I saw pain flash through her brown eyes before she stuffed her hands in the pocket of her sweats and walked out, not even acknowledging my father.
"My boy has turned into quite the man." My father beamed and if I wasn't feeling so god damn weak I would've marched right up to him and punched that arrogant smile right off his fucking face.
"Get out of my office." I told him, catching him off gaurd before I felt Kathy's hands running through my hair, reminding me that I was still in her cold arms.
"You too! Get out of my office and stop touching me. My dad hired you to be my secretary, not to invade my private space with your clammy hands and nasty breath!" I snapped at her, finally regaining my balance despite my spiking temperature as I pushed away from me and collapsed back into my seat, suddenly feeling the overwhelming exhaustion I had been holding in the past week.
My father looked absolutely outraged and dumb struck while Kathy gawked down at me with a mortified expression on her face.
I closed my eyes, hearing them blabber and scold me but not letting the words really process in my mind as I rested my elbow on the arm of my chair and pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration, slumping further into my seat.
"I won't repeat myself again! Get the fuck out!" I bellowed, my loud voice strong and overpowering everyone else's despite just how weak I really felt before I finallly heard the door of my office close, leaving me alone.
I keep my eyes closed and try not to remember how hurt Natalie looked when I had yelled at her but the frown on her face keeps flashing in my head, haunting me.
I jerked in my seat, my body feeling even weaker than before if that was even possible as my vision blurred, making me shake my head a few times only for me to realize that it was pitch black outside.
I must have passed out again.
I guess this is what I get for spending day after day with no sleep and rarely eating.
Also for being such an ass to Natalie.
God I had to see her.
"Mr. Styles, I can't believe you're still here. Everyone's almost gone by now except for me and Deborah," Kathy informed, entering my office as I placed my hands on my desk to try and stable myself while I stood to my feet.
I immediatly fell forward, almost hitting the ground until Kathy caught me again, helping me regain my balance as I sniffed, my whole brain feeling fuzzy and my skin heating up.
"Oh my god Harry, you're burning up." Kathy noted with concern, pressing her hand over my sweaty forehead as I slumped into her body, trying to walk.
"Natalie... drive me to Natalie's place." I ordered, my voice sounding hoarse and cracked but I didn't give a damn.
I needed to see my Natalie.
"Harry, you're sick, I can't-"
I drowned out the rest of Kathy's words as she helped walk me out of my office and into the hallway.
I heard myself repeatedly saying Natalie's name, practically begging Kathy, anyone to take me to her as I tried to swallow with my scratchy throat.
My eyes were only half open, drooping as I stared down at the floor while I heard Kathy begin to argue with Deborah at the front desk.
"I heard Mr. Styles say he wants to see Natalie, you cannot take him to your place." Deborah snapped.
"He's sick! He doesn't know what he wants, I'll take care of him." Kathy hissed.
What?
"No I want Natalie, take me to Natalie's. She has a brown door, and- and there are flowers in front of her door because I left them there for her. Find the door with the flowers." I slurred out, blinking slowly as I slumped forward.
My head was killing me.
Before I could even comprehend what was going on I was seated in the passenger side of Kathy's car, coughing and sniffling like a little bitch as she drove.
"Don't worry Harry, I'm taking you to Natalie's house." She assured me, keeping her eyes trained on the road as I nodded and fell asleep once more.
I woke up with my arms and legs restrained, blinking up at an unfamiliar ceiling in confusion, taking whatever small amount of energy I had inside of me to raise my head from the mattress underneath me and look at my legs.
My legs were tied to the end of a bed by a rope and my arms were handcuffed to the headboard above me.
What the actual fuck.
"Someone's awake." Kathy said, making me jump at her presense as she exited the closet in the room, crawling over the bed towards me.
"Kathy what the fuck are you doing. Let me go." I demanded, my voice coming out hoarse and my head still spinning as I tried to tug at my restraints.
"Harry forget about Nat... I can make you feel so good..." Kathy purred and if I actually had food in my stomach I would've thrown up right there on the spot.
It was all too much, just everything.
My body and head were aching, I was burning up from a serious fever and I couldn't even tell from my right or left as I hung my head back, resting against the headboard trying desperately not to pass out.
I jumped slightly when I felt Kathy's cold hands go up my shirt, tracing my stomach before she began to unzip my pants.
"Kathy stop. No, stop!" I repeated, my breathing heavy but the more I moved and kicked the more energy I lost as she continued to touch me.
"Shhh... You want this, I know you do-"
"You don't know anything. I told you not to fucking touch me. I said stop." I say through clenched teeth, glaring down at her before she slips her hand into my pants and I try cringing away, tugging at my restraints relentlessly.
"Stop, stop, stop." I repeated under my breath, my vision fading in and out and my whole body feeling numb as Kathy continued her assault.
I suddenly heard the door of the bedroom open adruptly, the door slamming against the wall making Kathy freeze from above me before I saw someone grab her brown hair, yanking her off my body and to the floor.
I let out a shakey sigh of relief before shaking my head, trying to focus as I watched in disbelief from the bed, gawking at Natalie who was hovering over Kathy on the floor pounding her with her fist.
AN: This is important, I really wanted to add this to my story because in most fanfictions, or in most stories on wattpad overall the girl is always the one about to get harrassed or raped and the guy is always the one to save her. It's like guys can't get raped, they can! Oh no, if it's a guy it's okay, he's just being a wuss, he's getting pussy it's not rape. I CANNOT STRESS THAT IF A PERSON IS SAYING NO IT MEANS NO. I wanted to show the reality of things, that it's not only girls that this shit happens to. Okay, I'm okay.
