"I don't understand why we couldn't just stay at my house and watch Funny Girl. We have a whole freezer full of that really yummy vegan pistachio ice cream that I know even you wouldn't complain about Kurt."
Rachel is frantically trying to pull both Blaine and Kurt back towards Kurt's Navigator but the boys are having none of it.
"Guys, really... we don't have to do this. Please..."
Her distress is clearly evident in her voice.
Blaine puts on a cheery smile as he wraps his arm around her waist. Planting a friendly kiss in her hair. Trying to reassure her.
"Dear Maria, you'll love this. I promise."
Kurt nods as he leads them both past a vehicle parked closer to the entrance of Breadstix, one that causes Rachel to whimper sadly.
Of course Finn would be here. Tonight. With her.
Kurt is holding the door of the restaurant open for her and Blaine to pass through. So he whispers in Rachel's ear as she passes.
"Rach, don't worry about Finn and Quinn. They're both horrible people. And you deserve better than that."
She nods sadly they enter the restaurant, doing her best to straighten her shoulders and not look overtly heartbroken. Instantly it feels like eyes are on her, burning through her body. And out of the corner of her eye she does see that aforementioned couple looking far too cozy in a booth, but she tries to look unaffected. To smile despite her inner pain.
Her smile only wavers momentarily as Blaine pulls her along after him. He chatters excitedly as they follow that nice older waitress to an open booth across the restaurant.
Kurt has one hand on the small of her back and uses his free one to motion towards a group of boys in blazers. Speaking softly in her ear again.
"See Rach, eye candy. Blaine found out about this event when he dropped off those West Side Story tickets the other day."
She nods as she slips into the booth, appraising the attractive group of boys from Dalton who seem to be huddling together near the small stage at the back of the restaurant.
"Blainey, what exactly is this??"
Blaine is waving to a few guys they all recognize. Jeff and Nick. That Asian guy named Wes. Trent, the smiley one is whispering to a taller boy, pointing in their direction when Blaine responds.
"They thought it would be a good way to rehearse in front of an audience. Acclimate Sebastian into the whole Warbler lifestyle."
Rachel only gets to mumble out a soft who's Sebastian? before the boys in blazers step into formation. And the tall boy Trent was motioning to addresses the crowd.
A boy with the most beautiful green eyes ever.
And Rachel's gasp of appreciation at his appearance is audible to Kurt and Blaine sitting across from her.
"Hello there Lima! My name is Sebastian Smythe, lead soloist for the Dalton Academy Warblers. Thank you for joining us tonight for what I am hoping will become a weekly occurrence of dinner and music. So please sit back and enjoy."
Rachel admires the way this mystery boy, this Sebastian moves as he steps back into formation with the rest of the group. Moving with confidence and a dancer's grace.
She finds herself blushing despite herself as the group starts in with the back beat of the song. Blaine and Kurt notice her reaction right away, smirking to each other.
Classic

Hey! Where's the drum?
[Nick]
Ooh girl you're shining
Like a 5th avenue diamond
And they don't make you like they used to
You're never going out of style
Ooh pretty baby
This world might have gone crazy
The way you saved me,
Who could blame me
When I just wanna make you smile
[all the Warblers]
I wanna thrill you like Michael
I wanna kiss you like Prince
Let's get it on like Marvin Gaye
Like Hathaway write a song for you like this
You're over my head
I'm out of my mind
Thinking I was born in the wrong time
One of a kind, living in a world gone plastic
Baby you're so classic
[Sebastian]
Baby you're so classic
[all the Warblers]
Baby you,
Baby you're so classic
Rachel giggles as she watches the boys singing and dancing around. She tries to hide her face behind her hands as the green eyed boy, this Sebastian moves closer to her.
And her eyes go wide when he is finally standing in front of her. Reaching out to grasp her hand. Pulling her to her feet and dancing around with her as he sings the next verse.
[Sebastian]
Four dozen of roses
Anything for you to notice
All the way to serenade you
Doing it Sinatra style
Ima pick you up in a Cadillac
Like a gentleman bringin' glamor back
Keep it real to real in the way I feel
I could walk you down the aisle
Sebastian spins her around playfully, kissing her hand and releasing her with a flourish before he melts back into the crowd with a wink back in her direction.
Blaine and Kurt whisper to each other behind their hands and Rachel just stares, wide eyed.

Out of my league
Old school chic
Like a movie star
From the silver screen

Baby you're class and baby you're sick
I never met a girl like you ever til we met
A star in the 40's, centerfold in the 50's
Got me tripping out like the sixties
Hippies Queen of the discotheque
A 70's dream and an 80's best

The restaurant erupts in applause as the last notes of the song fade away. Those highly attractive boys in blazers giving small bows.
Nick's voice rings out as Blaine and Kurt ease out of the booth, leaving Rachel sitting alone just as their drinks and appetizers are dropped off by the waitress. She gives them a confused look, guys?? And they just smile at her as they head towards the stage area.
"Anderson, Hummel get up here! Help us with this next song!!"
Blaine drops a quick kiss in Rachel's hair before he scurries after Kurt. And the group soon starts the cutest rendition of Silly Love Songs. She sees almost all of the Warblers singing along.
All but that mysterious green eyed boy.
Rachel sighs and starts to pick at her eggplant bruschetta. Letting the voices wash over her.
That is until she hears something that causes her blood to run cold.
"Well, lookie here. Seems Manhands can't even convince two gay guys to let her third wheel without them running away the first chance they get. Isn't it just pitiful Finny?"
Slowly she raises her eyes from her plate, setting the toast back down. Appetite completely gone.
And standing beside her booth is Finn, smug smile on his face, with his arm wrapped around Quinn.
She averts her eyes, murmuring out a soft hi... as she glances back down at her hands. Pushing her plate closer the to center of the table. Eyes tearing up.
And the taunting voice is back, dripping with fake saccharine sweetness.
"Aaww, Finny, little Rachie is sad. Maybe we should join her. Make her feel better."
That draws Rachel's eyes back up as she shakes her head, completely mortified by the whole idea.
"What do you think Rach? For old times sake..."
But just then someone pushes the two of them aside and slides into the booth beside her. Seemingly out of breath as they wind their arm around her waist and kiss her temple.
It isn't until they open their mouth to speak does she fully take in who it is.
The carefully coifed hair.
Beautiful face scattered with freckles.
Piercing green eyes.
"Sorry about that Love. I never thought I would get a chance to break away from the rest of the guys. Oh look, you got that eggplant bruschetta I love! You're the best ever, Babe."
Rachel stares at Sebastian dumbfounded and he just winks, mouthing a go with it her way before turning to address the teens standing behind him.
"Barbie, Lurch. Can you explain why you're still hanging around our table? Interrupting my evening with the beautiful and delectable Miss Berry."
Rachel blushes as she watches Finn stammer and Quinn fume in anger.
"Rach, what is this prep school douche talking about?!"
She desperately tries not to laugh as Sebastian pulls Blaine's untouched water glass in front of him. Calmly taking a sip before speaking again.
Much, much slower.
"You've apparently taken too many hits to the head. So I'm going to put this in small words for you, because you're dumb. Me, Rachel: on a date. Giant Ogre, Brainless Barbie: leaving. Unless you want to deal with them."
Sebastian snaps his fingers, motioning towards some of his fellow classmates. Mainly Thad and the guy who does their beatboxing. Both of whom give death glares at the standing couple, cracking their knuckles in the process.
Quinn looks panicked as Finn still stands there oddly confused. She wraps her hand around his bicep and pulls him away. Her words following her as she pulls him out the door of the restaurant.
"Come on Finny, lets go. If he wants to date a drag queen then that is his problem."
The pair in the booth watch them until they are out of sight. Rachel is stung by that insult as Sebastian's arm tightens around her waist, pulling her flush against his side in a hug.
Pay no attention to her Broadway. You're beautiful and from what I hear totally talented. And perfect for me.
Rachel turns to face him as he pulls away some, reaching into the pocket of his blazer. "Why did you do that? Why did you come over here??"
Sebastian smiles at her as he pulls a small card out of his blazer, placing it on to the table in front of her. Kissing her hand as he rises from the booth.
"Blaine and the other Warblers gush about you constantly. So after the song I knew I needed to meet you. And when I saw Frankenteen and the Prom Queen bothering you I figured the time was ripe to make my move. But that's my card Rachel. Call me sometime and we'll have a real date."
He grabs one of the pieces of bruschetta off her plate and then winks before heading back towards the rest of the Warblers.
She stares after him in disbelief and then down at the card in front of her. Fingering the lettering of his name, his contact information. In a daze until she hears tittering from the other side of the booth again.
Kurt's singsong voice.
"What ya got there??"
Rachel looks up with a smile, chancing another glance over her shoulder. Catching Sebastian as he winks her way again and then turns back to see Kurt and Blaine in their seats again, blush coloring her cheeks.
"Thank you guys so much for bringing me here tonight!"
Blaine laughs softly as Rachel turns back to watch the Warblers set up for another song. Sebastian giving a cheeky wave her way.
And he bumps fists with Kurt in a job well done.
Seems she's officially over one Finn Hudson.
(Rachel and Sebastian sitting in a tree. KISSING........)
The end.
