Someone knocked on his door. When he opened it, there stood a drowsy Suga in his silly night gown with a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and an unlit cigarette in the other.
"Morning Jimin. Wanna join me on my morning coffee?" the magician asked with a rough voice.
"Sure," he replied and grabbed his silken bathrobe from the hook on the door to cover his upper body.
Leisurely they walked towards the main exit. But when Suga walked through the curtain he had held back for the magician, the older suddenly stopped and he almost ran into him.
"What's up?" he asked the stunned magician and walked around him.
Shocked, he stopped, too.
There stood a boy with curly sand hair, that was dripping from the soft rain, and big puppy eyes that looked shocked. He breathed like he had just finished a marathon and his hands were shaking. His feet were bare and he wore a much too big white button-down over short jeans. Frantically, the blonde boy's eyes flickered between the magician and him. Golden eyes!
"Hello," Jimin tried softly, knowing Suga would be no help in this case. "Who are you?"
The boy looked at him, now having a hick-up. But he just shook his head and did not say a word.
"I'm Jimin and this is Suga. What's your name?" he tried again, slowly coming closer to the stranger.
Still the other just shook his head. Well, this was not successful. The blonde seemed to be under shock, and, apparently, he could not speak.
"Come with me," he said and took one of the shaking hands into his own, "I'll show you a place to sleep and we'll talk tomorrow."
Gently, he pulled the boy after him and guided him into his room to push him onto his bed.
"Can you bring a towel?" he asked the magician that had followed them and stood in the doorframe. The man nodded and vanished into the hallway.
Then he turned around to the blonde again, "Can I take off your shirt?" It was soaked from the rain and must be hell of cold.
The boy nodded barely visible, so he started to unbutton the white shirt. Suddenly, he felt cold fingers on his scar and big questioning eyes looked at him.
"Ugly, right?" he said with a pained tone, "Maybe I'll tell you about it tomorrow."
The cold fingers vanished from his shoulder and he pulled the wet shirt off the boy. The magician handed him a plushy white towel and he started to ruffle it through the wet sand hair. The boy looked unbelievably cute. Accept for his eyes. They were slightly creeping him out. How could someone have golden eyes?
"Lay down and sleep," Jimin instructed quietly but determined and wrapped the boy into his blanket, "We'll talk tomorrow." And he closed the door to his room.
Suga waited for him in the hallway.
"Is he alright?" the magician asked concerned.
"Yes, he looks much better now. Is he...?"
"Yes, he's one of us."
A bubbly feeling tickled Jimin's chest. This was the first other soul he ever met. After Suga had told him about their fate, he had been curious when he would meet another one of them.
"Which one is he?" he asked curiously.
"He's the imaginative one, the childlike soul," Suga answered, "But something is off with him. Did you see his eyes? That's not normal."
The concerned look in the other's eyes, made Jimin's mood fall. The boy indeed had looked a little off. More animal than human. Like a wolf's child.

"Good morning," Jimin tried to wake the sleeping guest. Gently, he stroked through the messy sand strands.
With a growl, the other rumbled under the sheets. Drowsy golden eyes looked up at him, and he could see the hint of a smile, though the lower part of the blonde's face was hidden behind the blanket.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked the boy.
"Yes," an unexpectedly deep voice answered and made Jimin gasp. How could such a cute face have such a deep voice?
"What's your name?" he asked the same question as yesterday and hoped to hear this gorgeous voice again.
"I... I don't know," the low voice admitted and sad eyes looked at him. "I can't remember anything," the boy whispered.
Well, this was bad.
A knock on the door made both of them look up. The orange head of the magician peaked through the door.
"Good morning," the husky voice of the magician greeted them. He still wore his night gown. "Are you better today?"
"Yes, thanks for taking me in," the boy without a name said, and Jimin saw the same amazement on the magician's face when the latter heard the boy's voice for the first time.
"He can't remember anything," Jimin explained to the man in the doorframe. "Amnesia, it seems."
"Well then," the magician said and came inside to squat in front of the bed, "would you like to start a new life with the circus?" Jimin was startled by the bluntness of the circus director. He just had found out that the boy could not remember anything about his life, but he just offered him a new life like the old one was worth no thought.
The sand-haired looked at the oldest with blank eyes.
"You'll get your own room, you'll eat with us and train with us. We're all a big family here," the magician continued.
Slowly, the boy began to nod.
"Then you'll need a name," Jimin said happily, bouncing from excitement for their new family member.
The magician smiled, too.
Cautiously, the boy looked from one to the other. "Can I be V?" he asked shyly.
Jimin's eyebrows rose at the strange request, but Suga just smiled knowingly.
"V it is," the magician said and stood up again. With a flick of his wrist a steaming coffee mug was in his hand.
Big golden eyes followed him on his way out of the room.
