1 Year Later

Nikki's POV 

One full since I was here, since that heart breaking day and one year since I last seen him, Brie let me know while I was living in Scotsdale that they became a couple and now she is living with him, I sat on the edge the bed I was staying Brie and Seth until I find a new place

"Nik you ready to go?"

"Yeah I won't be a minute"

I slipped on my heels, grabbed my purse and had a quick glance at myself in the mirror I know its only lunch but I like to look good 

Me and Brie walked in to the restaurant where I was greeted with a huge hug from Renee before I took my seat at the table

1 Hour Later

We had finished eating but the conversation was limited I got the impression Renee didn't know what to say its been a year she doesn't have tip toe round me 

"Renee you can aske me you know"

"I know I just don't to ask you about how you feel about it all"

"About Roman and Lana living together, I'm not going to cry about it Nae its been a year, I'm back here because my life is here it was here before I met Roman and still is now I am not letting them two keep me from living my life, I start back my job on Monday and unless a nice guys asks me out on a date I am staying single, so how about we go out on Saturday the 3 of us and a few of the girls"

"Sounds like a plan"

Brie replied as she emptied the contents of her glass down her throat, I looked at the door and seen the person I really didn't want to see .

"We can go if you want?"

"No Brie its fine like I said I am not letting her or Roman stop me living my life"

Just as I said that she approached our table smugness written right across her face

"Nicole I heard you were back it's nice to see you, I take it you heard about me and Roman?"

"Yeah I did and I hope the two of you will be very happy together"

"Oh believe me Nikki we are very happy I mean he as forgotten all about you so you have no chance at winning him back"

"I don't want him back especially after he as been with you I could catch anything"

"Like that one as never been used before Nikki, by the way that bed you used to sleep in is really comfortable, bye for now"

I gritted my teeth as she walked over to her group of friends all I wanted to do was rip her hair from the roots but I stopped myself instead I opened a new bottle of wine pouring half of it in my glass 

"Roll on Saturday"

I spoke before drinking a good amount of wine roll on Saturday indeed.
