LOCATION: Basketball Court

TIME: 9:23 A.M.

"Alright, break's over, Brian!" Marcel closed his water bottle, setting it down before joining his boyfriend on the court.

Right on time, Brian's phone starting ringing. He held it up, flashing the caller ID - two white heart emojis- at the couple. "One sec."

"I've been reduced to the fourth ring?" Evan's voice greeted him almost immediately.

Speaking a bit loudly, Brian rolled his eyes before answering. "Yeah, well, I told you I was busy this morning."

"I love your acting voice, it sounds so serious."

"No, I'm not at home." Brian glanced at the couple before turning his body so he was faced away. "I'm out with friends. We're playing basketball."

"You're gonna bring me back a burrito from that one place on your way home, right?"

"Yeah, of course." Brian bends to put his water bottle down, turning back towards his friends as he sensed the end of the call.

"Okay, well I guess I've been keeping you long enough."

"No, I told you I can't come over today. It's my night to cook. I'll text you when I can come, okay?"

"I miss you."

"My roommate is there tonight, yeah." Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Brock's eyes widen slightly. "I gotta get back to the game. I'll text you. Later. Bye."

"Love you, have fun!" There was a smile in Evan's voice and it made Brian smile without even meaning to.

"Love you, too."
