Now we are back to present..

Monika told everything to Shruti. And insisted to focus on treatment for fast recovery.

"Shruti. I know its hard for you, but you should take your medicines on time and don't think you are alone in this. I am with you. I know you will remember everything one day."

Shruti spoke nothing. She was lost in her own thoughts. "Will I remember?. I mean.. I missed out too much Monika. But I swear I'll kill the one who murdered my husband." Now her voice was stern.

Monika said, "Shruti, Calm down its not good for your health. If you want I will come with you to hospital tomorrow. Your schedule says tomorrow is your checkup." Shruti nodded.

"Its almost 6 pm, I have to go home Shruti. You take care and call me if you need anything. I'll be there." Monika hugged her goodbye.

Shruti called her servant,

"Bhaskar! I am going to Store to buy some things. I may come late so don't cook for me. I may eat something outside."

"OK madam" he said.

She was walking in store. There were regular things in her basket Bread, Some Fruits, Veggies, Pasta packet, Instant noodle packets while some households like Paint brushes, Dish cleaner etc. Then she remembered she had one more thing to buy, her alarm clock. Which she broke this morning.
She went to 'Clocks' section.

There were wide range of alarm clocks. She was looking through a line of clocks neatly placed one after each other, she saw Shining Green eyes glaring at her from the clock. She froze and closed her eyes. The moment she opened her eyes, the green eyes were gone. She picked up one clock, and pressed the top button to check its alarm. Suddenly all the clocks in that store started ringing simultaneously making a loud commotion. Shruti covered her ears and ran out of there. She was shocked because there was no one at the store. Even the reception was empty. She turned around only to see a grotesque red faced man standing in front of her giving her death glare through his shiny green eyes. He was just staring at her. She was so terrified that she couldn't speak a word and her eyes quickly shut at his ghastly appearance.

"Madam" someone tapped her shoulder.

She screamed and looked around. To her surprise everything was normal.

"Madam is this your purse?" A man held a brown leather purse towards her. She quickly grabbed her purse and ran out of the store and never stopped.

She took a cab to her home. She was constantly thinking about what happened in store? Was that my hallucination or it was real? The cab driver stopped the car at signal following the Red colour on the Signal pole. Soon the light turned Green. He just looked into the mirror in front of him and froze. He saw a red faced man sitting besides Shruti. He screamed with fear and turned the steering wheel in another direction causing the car to collide on an electric pole.

There was a huge explosion on the collision. Driver was dead on the spot while Shruti was bleeding and unconscious. She was taken to the hospital by pedestrians.

Her eyes were still heavy, she tried to open them and found Monika sitting besides her. She moved her hand.

"Oh Shruti, thank god you are all right. Let me call doctor." Monika hurried outside her room.

Shruti's head was paining a lot. Soon Monika came with doctor. "Well let's see, how is she doing now?" Doctor asked nurse.

She answered like a robot "She is fine doc. Her vitals are normal but the condition of her head is still unstable. She is complaining of headache."

Doctor examined her pulse rate and touched her head. Shruti felt excruciating pain, she pushed the doctor's hand away.

"Oh dear. She has been hit twice at the same spot. Her previous head injury is still present and after the accident its now serious. We need to conduct a minor surgery, the accident has also caused her to hallucinate. She mentioned a red faced man coming to kill her. That's why we can't leave her alone. She also needs psychiatric help."

Monika said, "She is already visiting Psychiatrist. She has Retrograde Amnesia."

Doctor raised his eyebrows, "Oh I see. Then we must hurry otherwise she could lose her life, if the surgery is not performed on time."

Monika agreed and completed all the necessary formalities and paperwork for surgery. She also informed Shruti's parents and her in-laws about her accident.

Soon the surgery was done successfully. Now Shruti was asleep. But she was grinding her teeth in her sleep. She was dreaming, she dreamt of a Chessboard where all the black and white pieces were scattered and a man's voice saying 'Checkmate' and the same green eyes staring at her.

She opened her eyes. It was dark in the room then she glanced at the clock. It was 3 am, she closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep. A sound was disturbing her, not a familiar sound at all. High pitched voice with no language nor words. But it definitely sounded like someone was trying speaking to her.

Then the voice became clear, but the voice was terrifying, out of this world. She woke up and began to wander in hospital corridor, there was terrifying silence everywhere that she could almost hear her heartbeats.

She stepped forward and saw the red faced man standing in front of her and then vanished in one second. She collapsed down with fear and saw visions of Rahul dressed in his wedding outfit is looking at her, he opened his arms for hugging her. She ran towards him and hugged him. She heard an evil laugh and to her shock she was hugging the red faced man. He was laughing constantly in an irritating rather in a frightening way.

She tried to pull away from him. He was strangling her. She somehow managed to run away from him, by pushing him away. She ran in her room and locked the door.

"Who the hell are you? What do you want?" She screamed.

He was knocking the door continuously and laughing.

"Please leave me alone for God's sake."

Still same.

She screamed again with all her strength, "Who are you!!!?"

That man stopped knocking the door and replied with the same intensity, "I am Sameer, you bitch."

Then he pushed the door so hard that the door broke and hit Shruti. She fell unconscious... Then the man disappeared....laughing eerily.
