There was a moment of silence after they heard Rohit's spirit spoke continually for half an hour about Sameer and Shruti. By which they found a a clue, a clue to Shruti's dark past...

40 minutes before:-

The flutter of lights and continuous roar of wind surrounded the room. Seance was still in process. While uncle's behavior was unstable as Rohit's spirit had correctly chosen Uncle's body as a medium to communicate.

Monika and Shruti were constantly asking questions about Sameer and it responded but in an unrecognizable language. Then to both tried to gather information as much as they could. Monika carefully recorded his voice in the tape recorder. It even cried loudly after their last question. Then suddenly it looked at the food kept at the centre of the table. It began eating greedily with both the hands as if a famine survivor is eating for the first time after many years of starvation. It even stained uncles clothes, throwing little bits of food all over. Shruti and Monika were helpless, they kept looking how the spirit devoured the rice, dal, vegetables and finally a glass of water. Then it vanished from Uncle's body, literally like gone with the wind. Uncle's body was slightly pushed backwards as the spirit flew away with the wind's direction.

Monika was waking Uncle, as he seemed unconscious, she sprinkled some water on his face. He opened his eyes slowly, and began to cough. He looked at the surrounding, Shruti was looking at him with concern. While everything was messed up on the table. Food was half eaten, candles were half melted as well as glass of water was half filled, his face was smeared with little bits of food.

His observation came to halt with Monika shaking his shoulder. "Uncle! Are you alright" while uncle nodded.

He stood up and said, "I'll go clean up". He went straight towards washroom.

After coming back, he took that tape recorder from Monika and began to examine.

He looked at Shruti and Monika and said, "I know, this is hard for you both. You look shocked indeed, but you were brave enough to follow my instructions at that time, I really appreciate your guts. Not many people can handle seance so carefully."

Monika said, "Uncle I was scared to death, but how can you remain still calm after knowing that your body was being controlled by a spirit!"

Uncle said, "Experience teaches us many things! Sprits and ghosts are now part of my life. Don't worry about me. Now who wants to know what's in this tape?"

Saying this, he placed that tape in the radio device and hit the 'Play' button. The voice was unclear in the beginning and only the voices of Shruti and Monika sounded clear. There was a loud commotion and also sound of somebody crying loudly in the end.

Shruti interrupted, "Uncle, we can't understand a thing! What's the point of recording?"

Uncle said, "Relax, now let's hear it in reverse" and he pressed 'Reverse' button. To their surprise, the voices were clear, Only drawback was Monika and Shruti's voices were reversed, but the spirit spoke perfectly fine. Only the voice of the spirit was high pitched and creepy.

The tape played: -

First voice was of Monika talking to spirit and it answered, "Shruti! I am sorry! I want to tell you that, Sameer is bastard. He killed me."

Followed by Shruti and Monika's unclear voice.

It answered again, "He said he was after you Shruti! He wants to kill you. Be careful. He was after you even in college days, he claimed that he loved you Shruti, despite of knowing about Rahul and your relationship. Remember! He had come to your house, told you everything and you were very upset by that. At our party, you slapped him and humiliated him in front of everybody. He left in disgrace. You told us not to tell anything to Rahul. But I regret what we did.

I didn't meet Sameer after that, except your wedding day. After hearing about Rahul's death, I wanted to inform Sameer also. So I went to his house and came to know that Sameer had committed suicide by shooting himself in his head through revolver. His body was not found.

After that, People complained about ghostly appearances in his house, and his house is now empty and keys are with his uncle. I felt very bad for him. After all he was my best friend.
But then, when i was going to meet you both that day he emerged from nowhere in my house and killed me. I recognized him by his locket, he confessed that he is the one who killed Rahul!!!

After saying this, he started crying loudly. The tape stopped. Shruti was still weeping palming her face, while Monika and Uncle remained quiet.

Monika went in kitchen to bring a glass of water for Shruti. She refused it.

Monika said, "So that was the reason, he is after you. Bloody bastard, now we won't leave any chance to kill him."

Uncle said calmly,"No. This is not the only reason, he is after you."

Shruti and Monika turned towards uncle and gave him a confused look.

Monika shot back, "But uncle, its clear case of obsession, Sameer is a maniac, or we should say a psychopath. He only wanted Shruti, and when he came to know that Shruti can't be his, he went insane and committed suicide."

Uncle replied, "See, we have our answer, on that table. Rohit told us half truth. Because, everything on the table is half. Food, Water, Candle, everything is half perished, which denotes 'Ardha satya' meaning 'Half Truth'. He left us a clue, telling us that there is something more about this case."

Shruti said, "Now What do we do?"

Monika said, "Maybe Rohit wanted to tell, about Sameer's next victim, or his next move."

Uncle said, "Well, let's clean up this mess now. We will figure this tomorrow, I am very tired to do anything now." Monika only nodded.

Shruti and Monika cleaned the table, and threw all the leftover food in garbage bin. While Uncle laid on sofa keeping his eyes closed. Shruti went inside her room. Uncle's sleep was disturbed by a phone call. His body jolted in response.

Monika came running to answer the call. "Hello!"

"Hello, May I speak to Mrs Shruti?" the feminine voice alongside the phone asked.

Monika said, "Shruti is not not well, actually. But you can give me message, I will convey the message to her. I am her friend."

The lady spoke, "I am Jennifer, from Little Wonders music academy, Shruti works here, I mean she teaches violin to kids here, but its been almost a month now, we are only concerned about her absence."

Monika said, "Uh, Jennifer, I am Monika, Shruti's best friend, she is currently living with me. She is not well, after accident, so doctor has advised her to rest. That's why she couldn't come."

Jennifer replied, "OK, but our boss told to enquire about Shruti, as kids are suffering loss, if she cannot come until next week, then her job may be given to another violin expert."

Monika said, "Oh, I will surely inform her. By the way Who gave you this number?"

Jennifer said, "We had called several times at Shruti's home, her servant Mr Bhaskar called back and told me that Shruti is with you, he gave me the number."

Monika said, "Oh okay. Thank you."

Jennifer said, "Oh no problem, bye"

Uncle was awake now.

Monika asked, "Uncle, how are you feeling? Do you want some coffee?"

Uncle said, "I am fine Mona, and yes I would like some strong coffee."

Monika smiled in response, "OK uncle."

Uncle went to balcony for some fresh air, he looked at the dark sky thinking about what could be the whole truth...
