Mack
The unthinkable has happened. Annabelle willingly ran. It was to catch up to Gabriella and I, but she did it. She ran. Annabelle Brite actually moved her legs in a faster motion that usual with free will. Most bizarre day ever. It was a miracle she was as lean as she was, considering she didn't run often.
Once we all reached the cabin, time sort of stopped. It did for me, at least. Annabelle, Gabriella and I stood at the green door of the quaint little cabin, each of us waiting for the other to turn the little golden knob. "Together." Gabriella whispered. We all put our hands on the knob and turned it to the right and pushed open the door.
"Woah." Annabelle muttered under her breath in her signature little girl voice that still lived inside of her. She could look as old as she wanted to, but she was still a naive girl at heart.
The cabin was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my entire thirteen years. A warm fire crackled in the hearth, and plush green furniture made with wood that I'm assuming was from the forest. A huge bookcase lined the far wall of the room, overflowing with novels of different sizes and colors. There was a little kitchen off to the side that was packed with snacks. And, standing in the corner next to the mantle, was everything we were to expect, but nothing we thought was going to happen.
