Jane
Fandom: None, Pyrotank's set of characters
Full Name: Rievia Nie Ghotha Ethi Hanna Ferrite or simply: Rieve Nie Ferrite.
Nickname/alias: Known as "Jane" on Earth, she derived the name from Jane Doe.
The simplification of names vastly differs from her complex Ellicausian naming system. Jane accepted it as a cover because her original name is hard to pronounce for humans. Living with humans over decades has helped her. Instead of adding adjectives, adverbs, and preposition, Jane has adopted a one to three-word noun pronunciation.
Age: 538 years(954 years in Original self, alive). Her lifespan is typically average of her kind. Jane is middle aged. Because of her long lifespan, she tends to feel the loss of her friends acquired. This is slowly making her into an alcohol dependent brawler.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual, favors men.
Species: Ellicausian
Ethnicity: Saoka(Lower plains symbiote).
Nationality: Grannor, Ellia; United States of America. The former is Jane's born nationality. Grannor is ruled within a monarchy. Unlike the complex structure of a traditional monarchy, Grannor has a more simple list of successors. With the extreme luck they have, the clear line of succession is usually father to son. But the monarchy proved that a woman can be the monarch. The Matriarch is one of the few. The aunt of Jane is clear proof of this. And this lady is the reason for Jane to leave Ellia and participate in an experimental exploratory program.
The later is her adopted nationality. After it was apparent that Jane is stranded on Earth, she decided to take full advantage of this. Lying about her European origin, she was about to gain asylum. And a whole can of worms opened to her new hometown.
Personality: Heavily outspoken and opinionated, Jane is often offending others which her abrasive personality. But her actions towards children is very different. Perhaps, it reminds her of home. Or caused Jane to think of the mysterious group of friends of her's. Jane loved being around children. And they...sometimes like her.
Appearance: Very dark hair and skin around near black. Blueish and black cloud swarms of microplankton attached itself to her. Being an Ellicausian, this proved difficult for humans to accept her natural appearance in the '50s and 60's. And this leads to Jane to pick an alternative action: to disguise herself and her suit. Although only Mr. Jearston was the only human to see her true form, Jane understood the consequences of revelation is a death sentence at that time. The government didn't accept her intentions until the day the nearby dam broke. Partly in fault was her ship. It destroyed the government's secret aircraft program on the day of the crash.
The appearance that most people saw: Brunette or black hair in various hairstyles within different time periods; men's jeans; graphic tee, blouse, or plaid shirt; leather boots; and sometimes fingerless gloves.
Health: She rarely has any problems because of her ship's medical bot. However, if Jane is severely injured, she still needs a blood transfusion from a veterinary clinic due to her unusual blood type(according to humans). As an Ellicausian, her C blood type is normal.
Skills/Powers: Telepathic abilities due to the nature of her symbiotic nature. These microplanktons are the reasons for the ability. These tiny plants have adopted a form of communication that evolved over millions of years within different hosts until the current form of Ellicausians. With limited telepathy, Jane can read memories of somewhat recent events. Unfortunately, she does not have her great grandmother's legendary form of telepathy. That privilege went to her aunt and baby sister(Leahemi). Even still, it has proven a great gift of detection to Jane.
Likes: Her multidimensional family(The Matriarch, her sisters, in some cases: her mother, and her future daughter and niece), Jane Ferrite is very aware of herself and family in different dimensions due to a visit of one particular gifted sister. Ever since that visit, her pride rose.
The town of Soulderton, even though she hated being on a rock called Earth, she enjoyed the company from the children and various friends in that town. Inadvertently, Jane became a prominent figure after the rescue of the 1965 dam break.
Alcohol, sadly to say. Jane's fight with alcoholism started with the deaths of many of her friends. Currently, she is getting help.
Fighting, this brought her to her best friend. Mr. Jearston is among the oldest living friends. He was a boxer that gotten his first embarrassing loss to Jane... to Jane. Expected to win in a sparring match, he lost to Jane. But Jane explained to him after the after: "Sorry, I didn't realize how hard to knocked you. I should have held back on that one..." Jane is re-known in the town as a hard hitter after that. Even if she rejects a proposition to box, people still treated her as if she was a boxer.
Tang, it is her favorite drink besides alcohol. When she was introduced, Jane didn't expect the taste. From then on, Jane never shops with it.
Men's clothes, She dresses in them early in her stay on Earth. Simply, it is the closest match to her uniform and her comfortable clothing. It stuck with her as part of her public persona. Jane didn't mind. It allowed her to dress what she deemed comfortable.
Soldiers, Jane respects them. They remind her about her own military days in the Elltate Turat.
Dislikes: As the third oldest and middle child, she hates the comparison within her family. As one of two telepathic members that have a weakened ability, Jane is looked down upon by Ellicausians. But this also drove her to prove herself more. She attended her local navy, the Ellate Turat(Third Sea) to show her capability.
Cannibalism, this is from before arriving on Earth. One of her researches in a different planet leads to her encountering a group of red-skinned, thin cannibals. This nearly led to her demise. She was lucky to saved by another being. This person was an another Ellicausan that disobeyed an order. Rievia is in debt to that person by that act. Instead of returning a save, she was sent by that person to Earth.
Being called old, Jane despises it. And it is worse when children call her it. She falls into a depression for a while. Jane is often aware of how much older she is compared to humans. But it doesn't help when she is called old or worse: Granny.
Wine, Jane doesn't like the taste of it. And she'll rather drink a different type of alcohol than it.
Weakness: Jane does misunderstand a few lingo and phrases. She can jump to conclusions on it. A priest once called her: "my daughter." And she flipped out. Unfortunately, Mr. Jearston witnessed and was ashamed by it.
Against better judgment, Jane is quick to judge others. Often this created misjudgment and prejudice on her part. And she is often proven wrong. However, Jane's pessimistic opinions on criminals didn't even surprise her much.
Alcohol was a weakness prior to her getting help. And Jane isn't picky about the more traditional drinks. She was known as a drunkard that still managed to pack a punch. Her reaction and speed do slow down under the stupor. Even without drinking in her current time, she still has alcoholic withdrawals.
Being insulted, Jane can not let it go unchallenged. She will fight her opponent. And at worst, Jane has sent people to the hospital with broken bones and dislocated joints.
Strengths: When she is sober, Jane is highly focused. The accuracy of her aim with iron sights on a rifle is frighteningly great. She can hit a target up to 1,000 yards. Whenever the local police needed a sniper, Jane is the first one to be called. One of her most notable cases is the trailer shootings. A single hostage was held in the trailer with the shooter. While the police surround the place, Jane took a single shot at the shooter. From 500 yards, the gunman fell dead. The hostage was alive and well.
Hand to hand combat is instilled in Jane. The Ellate Turat drilled a form of martial arts called Suktov. It is a mixed form of wrestling, grappling, and pressure point manipulation. Her experience in Suktov is added with boxing in the states. She always starts in an upright position in a boxing stance. Jane's Slugger style complements her aggressive combat form. She once has beaten a 280-pound brawler into the ground. His injuries included: A dislocated shoulder, bruised chin and face, broken ribs and tibia, and multiple cuts on his body. Jane is fairly unharmed save the cuts on her extremities.
Her love of children tends to make her more patient with them. And over the years, she has softened up. Jane is somewhat patient. But insult or threaten her as an adult, she'll just go into slugging. Even with children, she is more than capable of killing one. To Jane, anyone who has ever killed someone is no longer a child. And she is free to end their short life in accordance with her morals. Fortunately, she never had to. Jane once shot a gang banging teenager in the leg. Let's just say, that boy will now have an everlasting limp.
Her own mind and telepathy have enhanced her abilities on Earth. Khiva Yil, The Setkiva Vinnamas's adoptive mother, is one soul that stuck with Jane. Even in death, Yil dedicated herself to aiding the bloodline. Of all the descendants, Jane was the only one to see and talk to her. And Jane decided to keep this secret to herself, as requested by Yil.
Fears: Death, is a common fear. And to Jane, dying on a foreign planet isn't exactly the top of her want list. She is afraid that dying on Earth will sever her from her ancestors. An alike many Ellicausans, Jane believes in an afterlife where the person did an acceptable and good behavior, goes to the ancestral afterlife. Jane isn't exactly proud of everything she did. It adds to the fear because her murderous actions to drive a certain "motorcycle club" away.
Rats, Jane has an irrational fear of them. Note that toy rats don't scare her. When it is moving, Jane will freak out and run.
Eaten alive, her encounter with the cannibals instill the fear into her. If it weren't for her savor, Jane would likely die after murdering the majority of the cannibal group. To this day, nightmares of the cannibals still haunt her.
Relationships: Family
Three older siblings: "Soprana", "Alto" known for real name: Nicole and nicknamed the Black knight of the Black Hand, and "Tenor". Jane isn't that close with Soprana or Tenor, nor did she care for their names. But the second oldest, Nicole has developed a very close sibling rivalry with Jane. It was Nicole who saw Rievia's potential in the tenacity that is shown. Jane often sees Nicole as more of a mentor and mother than a sister. The very early years, Rievia trained with Nicole to develop a more refined combat sense and knife skills.
Two younger twins: Leahemi and May. Since the day of their arrival on Earth by Nicole, Jane knew that the twins are highly intelligent. It was a proud day for her to notice that her mother had remarried. Jane didn't exactly have the best relationship with her father.
May's shy behavior but uncanny mathematical skills is the impression that Jane got. She doesn't expect that May ends up designing an entire engine core from the blueprints of their grandmother. And May's biggest surprise to her: following the route of creating Artificial Intelligence.
Leah, on the other hand, is extremely extroverted. Her curious and warm behavior startles Jane. She acts a lot like their mother. And Leah ended up as Jane's god daughter's best friend. Jane is accepting of this. She had to get by the shock of it on the first day. It is the Ellicausian custom to wait a while to declare one as a best friend. This custom dictates that the friend must carry something of theirs at all times when one of them dies. Leah didn't realize that she has to carry something of Fey's when Fey dies.
Fey Williams, Jane's goddaughter on Earth. Jane and Fey's mother are very close during their time in Soulderton. Jane was surprised at first to be called a godmother. But it is natural to be selected. Both of them knew that Jane can and will be the one to outlive. To Jane, Fey is a great kid to be a godmother for. Fey is energetic and a good listener. Jane is proud to be her godmother.
Rieveia's mother is Jenniper Ferrite. Renown as "The Siren," for her incredible mental talent to draw in her victims, Jenniper is among the scariest Ellicausians to encounter. Rieveia is definitely respectful to her mother. But not just as a mother and talented telepath, Jenniper is among the family's most respected Ellicausian in terms of courage. She once spoke up against the planetary hero. And incidentally, this led to Jenniper's marriage to the hero's grandson. Sadly, she has passed away.
Keinnet Mort Eni Ferrite, Rieveia's father is often distant to his family. His work in the National Science Facility in Mennith keeps him there for months. Rieveia resented her father's actions. Often she calls him by the first name. This action is often a sign of disrespect towards one's elder. Eventually, Jane just ignores him. She never wanted to see again. Keinnet and Reiveia never got to reconcile.
The Matriarch, Rieveia's aunt and head of the Ferrite family. Known as the Silent One, she never talks in public due to the fear of her extreme telepathic powers. Both her and Jenniper possesses a common Ellicausian talent called the Wail. However, the Matriarchs highly refined talent and natural strength have turned it into a weapon. Very few would be able to withstand it, Jane included. Instead, the Matriarch turned to sign language as her main course of communication aside telepathy. When Rieveia encountered her, the Matriarch was insulted by the lack of manners. But she cannot deny the similar appearances to Setkiva herself. Their relationship turned into a professional one at best. And at times, the Matriarch smiles at Rieveia's accomplishments. The Matriarch is the one responsible for Jane's fate with the Exploratory program.
Setkiva Vinnamas, the hero of Ellia. Most people called her "The No Named One." Her records are often sealed to prevent anyone from knowing about the greatest telepathic mind in history. Before her untimely death, her weapon "Trith Ati Dunn Pass!(The Best Friend!)" is in Jane's possession. A gigantic 12-foot canon that fires Chlorine plasma rounds. Rieveia never had to use it much. Setkiva dies during Rievia's time on Earth.
But she did use it once against the "motorcycle club." The destruction was so great that everyone inside the main headquarters died. Jane didn't take account of the motorcycles' proximity to the building. They all ignited and exploded. To this day, it haunts her with the burning flesh and screams.
And finally, Khiva Yil, Setkiva's adoptive mother and trainer. Even in death, she presented as a voice of reason to Jane. Centuries of knowledge was used to make Rievia into the prized soldier that she became. Everywhere that Jane went, Yil followed as part of her vow.
History and backstory:
Born Rievia Nie Ghotha Ethi Hanna Ferrite to Jenniper and Keinnet Mort Eni(Strange left handed) Ferrite. She was the fourth oldest of six. At the time of her birth, Keinnet was away at work. He was working on keeping Ellia safe. He and the hero had tirelessly defended Ellia from their former invaders. Sadly, Rievia doesn't know. Unlike her, Alto knows about it. But, she doesn't think that Rievia would except it and instead hid it.
From the first hundred years of Rievia's life, it was Nicole herself(Alto) who foresaw her sister's capability. At that time, Jenniper was beginning to feel ill. Nicole believed in preserving to what she believed was the most tenacious person encountered. And. . . she wasn't that far off. Rievia has Setkiva's own stubbornness and strength. It is uncanny on how much punishment Rievia is willing to take. Nicole personally helped raised Rievia. And she noticed that Rievia is highly attentive to her own combat training. At first, Nicole is reluctant to train the girl do her own loss of her lover. The loss shook Nicole into a shell of the warrior she once was. Rievia eventually convinces her to break out of the slump. And the rivalry of their knife skills began. Rievia displays skills unseen in any of Nicole's previous trainees. Secretly, Rievia is also being trained by a spirit. This ghost is Khiva Yil who prepared Setkiva into the hero of Ellia. This went on until Rievia was 235, the enlisted girl joined The Ellate Turat. Both Yil and Rievia's family was surprised by the decision.
The Ellate Turat drilled into Rievia: Suktov, combat evasion, shield maintenance, proper weapon preservation and cleaning, and heavy weapon tactics. Several tours in twenty separate planets landed Rievia multiple decorations, including the rank of Khiva(Captain). All surviving members of a team that Setkiva belonged, they noticed Rievia as a second Setkiva. By the time the elusive Shiadic race contacted her, Rievia was 379. And all of her father's and Setkiva's history was presented to Rievia. But it doesn't convince her to reconcile with her dad. It was at this time, Setkiva's will was presented. The Trith Ati Dunn Pass!(The Best Friend!) was given to Rievia.
Several years later, Rievia joined the newly formed Exploratory Commission on behalf of the Matriarch. The explorations that Rievia took. . . led her to the planet of which inhabits large-limbed cannibals. Here is where it gets complicated to Rievia. When it seems to receive help from someone, the ship suddenly turned away. Rievia is left to die with Trith Ati Dunn Pass weapon and a broken machine pistol. Thankfully, a rescue did happen. But, the savior is someone highly familiar, herself. An alternate version of herself that successfully hid her identity from the other Jane.
It is this Jane that directed Rievia to go to Earth. Rievia's ship eventually crashed near Soulderton in 1956. Years of living there changed her from a mission-driven soldier into a lady who accepts her fate and decided to save the town. Her actions aren't exactly keen to the government. But it is a necessary evil in their eyes in exchange for her technology and nuclear engine. Jane became a controversial hero that is under a secret organization within the government. And this led to the current time frame.
Alto, Nicole, eventually finds Jane. She then brings May and Leahemi and informs her about her mother's death. Nicole raises the twins until her arrest. Jane gained custody of the twins with help of the Matriarch. At 2014, Leah and May had their argument and decided to take separate courses of life. Leahemi remained with Jane. And May went off to focus on her scientific pursuit. For years May refused to contact. Jane ends up raising her sister Leahemi and her goddaughter, Fey. Leahemi regretted driving her sister away. But in 2017, May returns...
And a chance encounter with a mysterious lady happens. This led to Jane knowing about the multiple universe and today.
*Author's note: I didn't include a list of friends and enemies. Throughout Jane's life, she gained and lost thousands of friends and enemies. And I tried to keep things politically correct. Jane's a highly opinionated person.*
