Another new day was born. But this day was just as bad as the preceding one.

Azalea woke up the same way as usual. Got dressed, had breakfast and watched TV. But, after all that, when she took a look outside, the sight before her shocked her to the very bone.

Her violet eyes rose up to the clouds, but except there being a cyan appearance, the sky looked more orange than a tangerine. It was the most bizarre sight Azalea has ever seen.

"Mum! Dad! Look!" Azalea exclaimed.

Azalea's parents both got up and took a good look at the sky. Their shocked expressions perfectly matched their daughter.

"Oh dear, it's even worse," Her Dad, Azan, said.

"What should we do?" Quarina said worriedly.

"I say we stay inside until everything is sorted out," Azan said.

"Are we going to die?" Ravenia asked worriedly.

"No darling, nobody is going to die," Azan said.

"How can you be so sure?" Ravenia said.

Azan took Ravenia's in his arms as settled her down on his lap.

"We can only hope for the best," He said calmly.

"Okay," Ravenia said.

Azalea wasn't convinced though and she thought that she should go investigate this with Cordelia.

She flew back to her room and sent some communication signals with her antennas to Cordelia. If she was going to solve this mystery, she would need some help.

She soon got a message back from Cordelia:

Sure I'll help you, should I come to your house?

She sent her one back.

Yes and come quickly

Cordelia sent her one back.

Azalea stopped sending signals and waited patiently for Cordelia's arrival.

She paced around her room while occasionally taking a glance out the window. It seemed like the more she looked, the more thick the orange layer grew. She was trying to think of why this was happening but the problem seemed so far out of reach.

She thought to get to the bottom of this, she had to go space.

Azalea's thoughts were suddenly interrupted when Cordelia appeared at her door.

"Hey Azalea," She said.

"Hey," Azalea replied.

"So what do you think we should do about this?" Cordelia asked while coming up to Azalea's side.

"I think we should go to space," Azalea said to her.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it might be coming from there since it's only affecting the sky."

"Hmm okay, so how are we going to get there?"

"We could take my dad's spaceship."

"Alright."

Azalea and Cordelia then rushed down the stairs and out of the door. They made their way to the back garden where Azan kept his spaceship.

They were soon face to face with it.

Its big metal legs were spread out of each corner, it's circular surface casted a shadow over the warm, green grass.

Azalea wasn't suppose to drive it without supervision but the time was an exception.

"Come on, let's get in, " Azalea said and clapped her hands, causing the ship to open up a large staircase for them.

Cordelia followed her friend in and they headed to the control room.

Azalea knew how to work the ship by watching her own dad many times in the past, so she had an idea of what she was doing.

The two friends buckled themselves into the reclining seats that were well cushioned to their liking.

"Ready for an adventure?" Azalea said.

"Ready!"

Azalea pushes the the big red, glowing button and soon the engine started off with a roar.

Azalea and Cordelia sat back in their seats as their seats started vibrating violently. All the lights on the panels were flickering on and off as they felt the ship detaching from the ground.

They laid back, tightening their grip on the side as the ship took off.

Azalea and Cordelia were shaking vigorously in their seats as their ship was blasting away from earth as the sky was beginning to fade away and they eventually broke through the atmosphere.

The lights were continuously flashing all around as the engine growled in its fury. The two friends were still stuck to their chairs as their eyes peered through the clear stars.

They were finally in space.

Once the ship began to calm down, Azalea took over the control and started to navigate from planet to planet.

She couldn't see anything but then she spotted something unusual on Neptune. Curious to investigate, she navigated the ship towards the blue planet.

She landed the ship and they got out.

"Where are we going?" Cordelia inquired.

"We are looking for something," Azalea responded.

"Ok."

Azalea and Cordelia wandered around the abandoned planet. It was really cold and windy and they soon began to loose hope.

Just when they covered the last part of Neptune and found nothing, something caught Azalea'a eye.

A silhouette of a figure was standing at the edge. Azalea saw that he was in the process of dropping a bucket full of paint downwards. Azalea flew up quietly and saw that it landed on the earth, but changing it to purple this time.

She began to grow hot with anger. All this time, someone was just colouring the earth with paint?!

Azalea tried to keep her cool and silently went up to the person.

"Excuse me," She said, tapping their shoulder.

The figure jumped in fright and fell to the ground. Azalea saw that it was a young Aquanian, about their age and they had just caught him in the act of his despicable deeds.

"What do you think your doing?!" Azalea shouted.

"What does it look like?" He shouted back.

"Why are you pouring paint on the earth?!"

"Because I got tired of it being blue so I was thinking why couldn't it be a different colour?"

"Who said you get to decide what colour the sky is?"

"No one."

"Change it back to blue right now!" Azalea ordered in an authoritative tone.

"Make me!" The boy screamed.

Azalea grabbed the bucket from his hands and chugged the whole thing onto his head.

While he was distracted, Azalea changed the sky back to blue and then suspended a gigantic umbrella above the earth so in case if the boy did have any more paint, he wouldn't be able to mess with the sky anymore.

Feeling satisfied, she flew back to Cordelia and high fived her.

"Let's go home," Azalea said with a smile.

Linking arms with Cordelia, they strolled back to their ship and were able to go back home in peace.
