Chapter 1

It was a regular but also an irregular day for Azalea.

The crimson, chrysanthemum sun was burning brightly in the aqua expanse that was covering all alien kind. The Aquanians race were just waking up and going about their daily business, but something was not right.

High above, on the 100th floor of the tallest, Crystal clear flat in Aquan City, was our young Azalea sleeping peacefully until it was her time to awake.

Her body was currently resting on this nine inch hover bed that let out a calm vibration as she slept.

Her room was not of the ordinary.

The walls consisted of corresponding green and orange tiles, floors were a faded grey, bordered with a thin lining of sliver. There were two service hover spheres on both sides of Azalea's bed, waiting for her command. The whole city can be seen as a panorama through her landscape windows that encircled her room.

All of a sudden, Azalea began to stir in her sleep. Her limbs were jolting as she was almost out of her sleepy trance but not quite there yet.

Just when her body was about to calm down, the square-shaped clock above her head started ringing its agitating siren.

It sent Azalea flying out of her bed and slamming her back against the ceiling. She was so in shock of the rude awakening that she nearly hit her ceiling light which would've caused a great accident.

Azalea eventually calmed down and flew back on the ground with her transparent, lime coloured wings. She fully extended them with stretching her arms and legs.

"That's one way to get a headache in the morning," She muttered.

Since her alarm was still going off, she fired electricity from her finger to shut it off.

Once it stopped ringing, Azalea got dressed into her traditional outfit which was a blue and yellow top with blue fringes at the arm ends. A blue skirt that had fringes waving like grass in the springtime.

Once she was all set, she went out of her room and flew down the snakelike staircase.

She was now in the living room where her mother Quarina and sister Ravenia was. They were watching the news on the wide, flat TV that was attached to their wall but her mother displaced a worried face.

"What's wrong mum?" Azalea asked.

Quarina noticed her daughter standing at the door and stood up to face her.

"When your dad left for work, he said there was something wrong with the sky but I didn't take any notice, but now on the news, they are showing a spot that's expanding in size and scientists don't know what it is."

"Oh," Was all Azalea could say.

"I hope it's nothing serious," Ravenia said.

"Same," Quarina said.

"Im just gonna go and play with my best friend Cordelia now, if that's alright," Azalea said.

"Yeah that's fine dear, have fun," Quarina said.

"Bye Azalea!" Ravenia said, waving at her older sis.

"Bye!" Azalea said and then went to the door.

She opened it up swiftly and went out to meet up with her best friend Cordelia.

Azalea and Cordelia have been best friends ever since they were born. They were only a few minutes apart and even their families go way back. They were completely inseparable and some may even call them twins.

When Azalea made it to Cordelia's home, she scanned her hand against the handprint outside and the double doors opened up. Azalea got inside and she was faced with a screen of the different rooms.

She clicked on Cordelia's and was soon transferred there.

Azalea found Cordelia in her room, zooming around with her little brother Nobeli.

"Hey bestie!" Azalea called out.

Cordelia stopped in her tracks and looked down at her bestie on the ground.

"Azalea hey!" She flew down and they embraced.

"Hey Cordelia! Wanna hang out today?"

"Sure let me just get my shoes on."

Azalea waited for her friend to put her shoes on. If she was being honest to herself, she wasn't quite sure where they should go out but as long as she was with her best friend, anywhere would be fine.

When Cordelia was all set, she said bye to her little brother and they headed out of her room and out of the building.

Once they were out, they started flying.

The streets were incredibly busy today but not a good kind of busy.

People were rushing everywhere, trying to get their belongings all together as if the end was near. There were parents calling out to their children and the warrior guardians trying to calm people down.

Azalea and Cordelia were very confused at the commotion but then Azalea noticed the same sport that she saw on the news in the morning. It was much larger and they seemed to be more duplicates of it in the atmosphere.

This is really creepy, Azalea thought.

She couldn't quite comprehend what was happening here but could only hope that it didn't involve the extinction of their whole race.

Azalea noticed how fearful Cordelia looked so she grabbed her hand and they flew away from the scene.

"How about we go to the park to distract ourselves?" Azalea suggested.

"Sure,," Cordelia agreed.

It was settled. They were going to have a little fun in the park and away from all the unsettling, distressful cries of their kind.

"What do you think it is?" Cordelia asked.

"I honestly don't know," replied Azalea.

"Well whatever it is, we better find out quickly before it gets worse," Cordelia said.

"Yeah, why don't we investigate it tomorrow?"

"Sure, should I call you or will you call me?" Cordelia asked.

"I'll call you don't worry," Azalea said.

It was decided. Azalea and Cordelia are going to figure out the weird markings in the sky, and hopefully what they come to find, won't be fatal for their whole existence.
