Sebastian watched her leave, forming a plan in his head on how to break her and Finn. He knew from his hook ups with Blaine, Kurt, Santana and Puck that Mckinley is doing West Side Story  which is his favourite musical a week before Nationals and he knew from Blaine that Rachel his Maria, is still a virgin, and if Sebastian knew Rachel like he knew her, then he knows that Rachel would want to portray Perfect and proper, and who is Sebastian to deny that from her.

Rachel wasn't going to be one of those people that falls for Sebastian and his player ways. Rachel hasn't even given an answer to Finn's marriage proposal yet, she's still thinking about it, and have been getting advice from not only Quinn but also Trent. She loves Finn she really does but she also loves New York and the love of Broadway and doesn't want any distractions. Rachel was still unsure of what to do, and she was still unsure of her audition song, plus she was preparing for Maria and also Nationals. Everything was getting too much for her, and falling for Sebastian and his player ways is too messy for her. Rachel always overhears from Quinn, Kurt and also Blaine that when Sebastian slept with her it was like he was either trying to forget someone or get over someone, either way Rachel wasn't only not convinced but she was also not falling for Sebastian. 

She hasn't even gone that far with Finn, what makes her think and believe that she would give herself to Sebastian. The only reason Rachel hasn't given anything to Finn is because she doesn't want to. it's not that she's ready, is just that she wants it to be with someone special, but Rachel always thinks back to what Nick and Jeff had told her

If you love them, then not only are they someone special to you, but you are special to them.

Rachel replays that in her head every time she thinks she comes close to giving Finn an answer to his proposal or even when he tries to bring up the subject of sex and wanting to progress further in their relationship. Rachel hates that Finn pressures her all the time. It should be up to her and not Finn. She couldn't even go further with Jesse, and at that time she wasn't even ready, and Jesse respected that, and at one point she wanted Puck, but Puck said no because he wanted to respect her and respect her and Finn together. 

And now she is in love with Finn but she doesn't want to go that extra step with him. It feels so wrong to her, but she wants to portray Maria perfectly, and there was no way she was going to give in to Sebastian. Rachel doesn't care that she's never done it, she's not Santana, Puck, Quinn, Brittany and she's definitely not Sebastian and now Rachel fears her role of Maria is in jeopardy and would go to someone else.

Rachel just didn't know what to do, but thinking back to what Nick and Jeff told her, she knew that she didn't want to marry Finn, so here she was waiting in the choir room for him, Rachel prayed that Finn wouldn't be too upset. She slowly took off her ring as Finn walked in, and she looked up at him, gave him the ring back and said

"Finn, I love you, but I can't marry you." Finn was confused and he said

"Why not Rachel?" Rachel was nervous and she said

"Because I don't want to be tied down in Ohio, I don't want to be held back and stay in Ohio because you don't know what to do with your life or what your future is like. Tell me honestly why did you propose to me?" Finn was quiet and then spoke

"I proposed because I love you." Rachel couldn't believe what she was hearing and she said

"I don't believe you. and if you love me like you say you do, you would stop pressuring me into sleeping with  you, and you would accept the fact that I can't marry you, and you wouldn't stop me from talking to other guys while you can talk and flirt with other girls." Rachel then walked out of the choir to go the lima bean wanting to be alone, leaving a confused and unsure Finn in the choir room. Rachel had been right, Finn didn't propose he loved her, he proposed because he didn't know what to do with his life or what his future was like.

Rachel arrived at the Lima Bean, and sat down, when all of a sudden she heard

"Streisand." Rachel knew who it was. There was only person in the world that called her. She looked up and saw Sebastian and said

"What do you want Sebastian? If you're here to try and seduce me again, or to try and talk me into going back to your dorm, please leave, because I'm not in the mood at all, just go to one of your many conquest, i hear Thad, Puck, Quinn, Santana, Brittany, Blaine, Kurt and Hunter all had a good time with you." Sebastian smirked at her and said

"You sound jealous that I haven't been with you Broadway. I can make that a reality if you want. just you, me in my dorm, running our hands all over our bodies, our clothes everywhere." Rachel shook her head and said

"I'm not going to sleep with you Sebastian, just please leave me alone." Rachel put her hand over eyes as she silently and softly cried, and as she did Sebastian noticed there was no ring on Rachel's finger. He wondered if it meant Finchel broke up, or if she had changed her mind about marrying Finn. Either way Sebastian was determined to find out what happened before he could fully chase after Rachel. Sebastian stood up leaving Rachel on her own as he went back to Dalton.

Sebastian knew that out of everyone Rachel trusted Trent and Niff the most, and he knew that if something happened to or with Rachel, Trent and Niff always knew. Sebastian arrived at Dalton in the search of either Nick, Jeff or Trent to find out what exactly happened with Finchel.
