Work

Sun is busy trying his hand at painting on a cold and windy October day when he gets a knock at the apartment door. He gasps in surprise as if he was expecting something and rushes to answer it. By the time the door is flung open, no one is there anymore. He glances down with a head tilt and notices a package and envelope.

His rays flutter with curiosity as he brings the mail in, placing it on the table and checking for who it's made out to. Sun and Moon. It's for them! Sunny bounces in place and almost rips the envelope in half in anticipation.

To Sun and Moon,

Congratulations! We would like to officially welcome you both to proper assimilation into human society! Listed below are all of the documents assigned to each of you. Please look over these documents carefully and notify this office immediately if there are any errors. Remember to keep this information in a secure location, like a personal home safe or a bank safety deposit box.

Social Security numbers and identities in databases.

US Passports.

Again, congratulations on your official documentation. We trust this will help you in all of your future endeavors.

Best regards,

Franklin

Sun squeals after reading and hastily puts down the paper to open the package. He does so and inside lies a bunch of cards. He lifts his license up first, eyes widening. 'It's so shiny!' He moves his fingers a bit to watch the card gleam in the light.

A couple passports catch his eyes next. He sets his license down to look at one, opening it up to find his brother's picture staring back at him. 'Would it kill you to smile in a photo, Moonie?' Sun deadpans before looking over everything.

It has all the credentials and proof of citizenship for the state of Utah, and the USA. He and Moon could travel! The solar animatronic makes another noise of cheerfulness.

He can't wait to do anything a human citizen could do! What he wants to do first, though, is finally visit Codie at work! They haven't really gone anywhere since Moon's arrest, afraid they'll get in trouble again, and Sun's been dying to see her in a uniform!

"You thinking dirty thoughts, Sunny?" Said bot jumps into the air at the sudden voice and entrance of Moon. The lunar bot snorts at the look he caught on Sun's face. His rays shrink and he turns his head to glare at his mean brother.

"I-I-I was not! You startled me!" Sun's voice betrays him and tells Moon otherwise.

"Mhmmm," he replies, unconvinced with a knowing smirk. "Whatcha got there?" He catches a glance of the passport Sunny's gripping against his chest.

"Our-our stuff came in! Take a look!" Sun's stutter slowly fizzles out, to his relief, and he hands it over. Moon takes it with wide eyes. 'Wow, I can't believe it. We're true citizens...'

The nap time attendant can't stop the smile growing on his face the more he keeps reading over his stuff. He takes his driver's license out of the eager Sun's hand and becomes mesmerized by it.

"Is this how children feel when they become of age to drive a vehicle?" Moon asks in a stupefied trance.

Sun snorts, letting out a hearty laugh and side hugging his brother. "Probably! Isn't this great? We're official, Moonie!" Moon laughs along; Sun's mood being exceedingly contagious. After, Sun puts his hands together with a clap. "Now! I wanna do something I've been dying to do!" He doesn't wait for Moon to respond before he cries, "Visit Codie at work! Come on Moonie!"

Moon gets dragged (but not too hard, as he wants to see Codie just as much) by his enthusiastic brother out the door and down the steps before the brighter animatronic remembers the keys.

"Whoops," he giggles sheepishly, letting his brother's wrist go as said bot gives him a look of disdainful amusement, and scurries off to get the car keys.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sun and Moon walk through the door of Coffee Garden, the former having a pep in his step as he holds it open for his darker counterpart. The bell rings indicating their arrival and a worker immediately goes to greet them from the counter.
Shen is a cool dude, right? He would say he's calm and collected (as much as any awkward soul can be) on the outside whilst hiding his inner turmoil on the inside. He's good at that. He was having such a good day working with Codie, mustering up the courage to ask her out (although not having mustered enough apparently, as he still hadn't done it yet), and fulfilling orders, when two hulking, lanky, clown animatronics enter through the front door.
He didn't notice them at first, surprising given their stature, and he goes to greet these next customers as per usual. "Hello! Welcome to- GUH?" He starts hacking and smacks his chest with a fist as he inadvertently inhales his spit.
He feels as if he was going to pass out right then and there. But, as he always tells himself, 'Conceal don't feel.'
And he will vehemently deny it if you say he got that from 'Frozen'.
"H-hello, what can I do for you?" he's able to stutter out, but not without his finger shaking as it hovers above the computer screen. He's not against animatronics, he swears! He saw them on the news, thought they were cool and all, but he wasn't expecting to see and/or confront a real live one- let alone two!
"Hello!!" the Sunny one greets, voice way too loud for a coffee shop. "One caramel frappe! And one dark chocolate cherry chip frappe!" Shen nods and enters it into the system.
He quickly lets them know the total and then watches as the Sun clown goes to dig into a fanny pack. He must have given it a weird look, because the Moon clown facepalms at the sight of his brother.
"I told you to just put your wallet in your pockets..." he grumbles, red eyes rolling in their sockets.
Sun huffs, finally fishing out said wallet and going to pay. "It could fall out or get stolen!" he says with his nose upturned. "A fanny pack allows me to have it zipped up! Secured and in front of me so no one can pickpocket!" (Isn't this supposed to be the hopelessly optimistic one?!)
Shen can't help but snort at the ridiculousness coming from the bot's mouth. 'This is so weird...' He shakes his head to himself and gets to making their drinks. 'I hope they don't become regulars, though. They're way too freaky...'
Suddenly, from behind the curtain that separates the front counter to the back of the shop, Codie bursts through with a gasp. "I knew I heard a Sunny!" she cries, a smile on her face. She giddily waves to them from behind the counter.
'A sunny?' Shen thinks to himself. Well, it is an interesting choice of words...
"Sunflower!" Sun says back, matching her excited waves just as eagerly.
Moon does a half wave with a lopsided smile. 'Sunny was right,' he thinks, 'she does look cute in a uniform...'
Shen's shoulders tense as he stares wide-eyed in horror at the realization that Codie not only knows, but is also very friendly with, these animatronics. "Shen! These are my roommates I've talked about!" Codie introduces him, forcefully turning the boy around from facing the wall with the blenders and outstretches her hand. His horror multiplied tenfold with that statement.
The boys look at each other at the same time, simultaneously thinking in their shared mind space, "She talks about us?!" They look back at her, goofy smiles on their faces, when their CPUs finally catch up with the name she had mentioned. Though their smiles remained, both bots' eyes narrow as they, in turn, realize this is Shen.
"Oh, um...Hi?" Shen offered, but did not move from his spot to properly greet the two bots with a handshake. Not that Sun or Moon would be offended; they were quite alright with skipping any and all formalities.
"Hello." Moon's response was rather flat.
"Hi there!" Sun's, a bit more lively, but more forced than usual.
Codie, oblivious as ever to the mounting tension, skipped up to the counter and leaned over it as far as she could, hands grabbing towards the two hulking animatronics. Being as tall as they were, it was no problem for them to lean over and give her a quick hug.
Shen stood there, completed drinks in hand, looking anywhere but at the three bodies currently connected over the counter. "Ahem," he sheepishly clears his throat, not really wanting to be there any longer than he has to.
"Oh! Sorry!" Codie blushes slightly, plopping off the counter and turning to Shen. She snatches up the drinks and quickly turns back to her boys, ('Again?! They're not MINE!' she flusters in her thought) handing them off to their eager hands. "So, what are you guys doing here?!" Codie asks with sincere excitement.
Moon snickers. "Well, I know why Sunny here wanted to come see you." He jabs an elbow into his affronted brother, a viciously teasing grin on his face. Sun gasps, snapping his head to glare at Moon.
"AHG! Moonie! I-I-I just wanted to come see Codie! At her work...um, yeah!" He looks back at Codie, shyly. "I wanted to see you here, a-at work, and and say hi! Yep yep! ...Hi!" Looking back over to Moon he adds, "Why did you want to come along with me, hmmmm, Moonie?"
"Uh...same- Same reason..." Moon nervously retorts, then gives his brother a murderous 'don't you dare' look.
Codie looks between the two bots, a bit confused by their antics. "O-kay... You guys are silly." She rolls her eyes at them as the two make their way over to the seating area, trying to find a suitable place for their size.
Moon just stares at Sun as he sips at his frappe, eyes narrowed. Sun smirks back at him, knowingly.
"I told you she would be cute in a uniform."
"Mmhm."
Codie and Shen are still hanging out behind the counter when she remembers she had to finish cleaning something in the back. She heads to the back and, not wanting to be left alone out front with the two animatronics, Shen quickly follows. Moon notices immediately, whipping his head to follow their movement.
Shen, noticing he's just kind of hovering around Codie, tries to make conversation, so as to not look weird. "So, you actually live with those two? I-is that safe?"
Codie looks up and frowns, "Uh, yeah? And of course it's safe! They are two of the sweetest people I've ever met!"
Shen puts his hands up, "Sorry, sorry...I-I didn't mean it that way...I just... I don't know," he rubs the back of his neck, now feeling very awkward, not knowing how to get out of this without sounding like more of a jerk than he already did. He starts to back up and figures he should go back to the counter.
He passes the curtain and turns, letting out a sigh of relief before promptly screeching at the sight of Moon leaning over the counter with a smirk, showing off his sharp teeth. He puts a hand on his heart, willing it to calm down before it bursts.
Shen's mouth is dry and he desperately tries to moisten it up to no avail. "Um, do you need something?" he coughs out.
Moon's smile gets impossibly wider. 'This kid is fun to tease.' He shrugs. "A straw," he says simply as if he wasn't snooping and eavesdropping just a moment earlier.
"Sure..." Shen quickly pulls it out and hands it over, flinching at the claws on his fingertips as Moon takes it from him. Keeping up the freaky smile, Moon says his thanks and returns to his table.
At this point, another customer arrives, so Shen takes a deep breath and dons his best customer service smile to greet them with.
After Shen serves a couple drinks, he notices the animatronics getting up and throwing their cups away. 'Oh thank goodness!' he exhales, figuring this means they're finally leaving. He didn't like the subtle glances they gave him when they chuckled.
But instead of exiting, the jesters return to the counter. "Bye bye, Sunshine! See you at home!" Sun extends his hand and waves wildly to the ginger cleaning the blenders. Said girl turns around.
"Oh! Okay, bye guys! Thanks for coming in! See you later!" Moon waves as well before guiding Sun out, before he can continue the goodbyes, as he does.
"Byeee!" The sunny bot manages one more before the cool air hits their face plates. After they're out of earshot, his smile drops and his anxiety heightens. "You...you don't think she...likes him do you? Like, like-likes him?" He wrings his hands together.
"I can't tell..." Moon admits, not liking it one bit. "He totally likes her, though..." He grumbles, "You can tell by how he looks at her..."
Sun whines, "Well, we'll just have to woo her better!"
"Would you stop saying 'woo'? We're not in the middle ages, Sunny." Moon rolls his eyes as they get into their car.
"Why? It's what we're doing, right?" Sun buckles up, head tilted, curious. "How about serenading?"
The lunar bot makes a look of disgust, scoffing. "No, that's even worse. We are not Romeo and Juliette."
Sun gasps, putting his hands together and resting them on his cheeks as he coos. "Oh I just love that story! So romantic!" As they pull out of the parking lot, Moon chortles.
Moon can't tell Sun about the real story of Romeo and Juliette because that would just crush his non-existent heart. No, Fazbear Co. would never have allowed them to read the children an accurate depiction of the classic love story, so Sun was none the wiser.
"Very," Moon agrees to please him. "However, why can't we just call it...pursuing?"
Sun hums, "That sounds a little...villainous."
"What?" Moon looks over in slight shock before returning his sight to the road. "But that's what we're doing! Pursuing her. Or, more accurately, pursuing her affections. Stalking would sound villainous." A beat. "Which is not what we're doing."
Sunny shrugs. "I'm still gonna say woo," he declares with a smile.
Moon wishes he wasn't driving so he could face-palm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Codie wonders where Shen ran off to when he answered his cell phone nervously earlier. She shooed him off to take it when he said it was important but now he's been gone for ten minutes.

He came back out from behind the curtain and she immediately noticed his mood had taken a complete 180 degree turn. Pleasant and shy, to panicked and boisterous.

Head down, he began to ramble, to nobody in particular, "Not good...need to leave early...but have to close...everyone on vacation or just won't cover for me! Lois warned me... three times this month... What am I going to DO?!" He was wringing his hands and pacing back and forth so fervently that Codie was beginning to get dizzy.

"Hey, calm down, Shen..." Codie spoke softly as to not startle the guy who was already worked up enough. In his distress, he failed to hear or even see his coworker. "Shen?" she tried again, this time hesitantly reaching out to touch his shoulder to gain his attention. He jumped.

"Aah! Oh, s-sorry Codie." He glanced down at his shoulder, the one Codie had a hand on, and pink began to seep into his face. Eyes wide, he continued, "I-I didn't see you there."

"You're obviously very upset about something. A-and you don't need to tell me anything about it!" she holds up her hands in front of her, shaking her head, trying not to seem nosy, "but, is there something I can do? To help?"

"Oh, n-no, no! I don't want you to worry about my problems." He looks away, dejectedly.

Being the caring and helpful person she is, Codie pressed a little more. "Well, you said something about needing to leave early...maybe I could cover for you?"

Shen snapped his head up at her, hopefulness in his eyes. "W-would you? It would just be a few hours on Friday and-" He cut himself off as a harsh realization crept in. Codie would have to close the store, by herself, just two days from now. But she hadn't been trained to do that yet. And Lois would never agree to that. Back to the dejected look. "Ugh. Forget it. I forgot you haven't been trained to close yet."

"Well, I can come in tomorrow night- you close tomorrow, right?- And, you can show me what to do. I can learn quick!" she tries.

"You...you would come in on your day off to learn how to close just so you can cover for me at the last minute?!" He stared at her like she had worms coming out of her ears.

"Uh...sure? It's not that big a deal...I mean, that's what friends do, r-right?" Codie's brows were scrunched together, confused at why this boy was so amazed that someone was willing to help him out. Maybe he'd never had any real friends in his entire life? Sad.

She backed up and casually leaned against the counter, elbows out on either side for balance, not really paying any attention to the fact that her bottom bumped into something that was slightly jutting out from a lower shelf.

Without her knowledge, her phone dials Sunny's number, silently, as she had turned that feature on so as to not distract her from working.

After a moment of awkward silence, Shen smiled wide, the feeling of a heavy weight being removed from his shoulders. "Oh, man! I- I could just hug you!!" And, without thinking, he closed the distance and did just that. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!" his voice was muffled into her hair, "You have no idea what this means to me!" It was quick, and awkward of course.

"I have a bit of an idea..." Codie mumbled out around the other's collar that was squished up against her face.

And as fast as it started, it ended. Shen backed away quickly, severely flushed at what he'd just done. They both stood there a few moments, looking everywhere but at each other, when the boy finally said, "O-kay then...tomorrow night...be here around six."

"Yep. Got it."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the apartment, Moon lounges on the couch, reading his book while music plays softly in the background. Sun sits down on the floor in front of him, constructing a little makeshift obstacle course for his beetles.
Sun's phone pleasantly jingled with his favorite human's personal ring tone. Having just seen her at the coffee shop only a few hours ago, they both wondered what she could be calling about. 'Well, I can never get enough of my Sunshine's voice, so I'm not going to complain!' Sunny pushed to answer, leaving the phone on the coffee table, and putting it on speaker.
"~Hellooo Sunflow-" his sing-song greeting instantly cut off when he heard the male voice on the other end.
"Oh, man! I- I could just hug you!! " And then a muffled, "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!! ... You have no idea what this means to me!"
"I have a bit of an idea..."
That was CODIE'S voice! All muffled, too, like they really were...hugging!!!
Silence goes on for some time and Sunny stares at his phone with a bated breath. Moon had lowered his book at the obvious butt dial and is, also, staring at the phone.
"O-kay then...tomorrow night...be here around six."
"Yep. Got it."
It sounds as if the two went back to work, so Sun hung up. If Sun and Moon had guts, they would be twisted up in knots right now. They looked at each other, then back down at the small electronic device, glaring at it like it had just insulted their mother (which is quite the accomplishment, considering they don't have one!).
It took a hot minute before one of them finally spoke up. "Um- wha...? W-what was that all about?" Sun's voice was very low, almost inaudible. Moon only shakes his head, thoughts running rampant and not trusting his voice. "Oh my stars! Wh-what if it's a date!? What if he asked her on a DATE before we could!?"
The usually happy bot delves into panicked rambling, pacing the floor and chewing on his silicon fingertips, his arts and crafts construction project for his bugs all but forgotten about.
"Sun..." Moon's CPU morphs into overdrive as he tries to make sense of what they heard. "I don't think people thank the other person vigorously like he did when someone says yes to a date."
Sun freezes, eyes widen as he turns to look Moon in his. "I-I would!"
Hurriedly, the nighttime attendant throws his hands up to placate his brother. "Anyone who isn't you wouldn't thank someone like that, I'm pretty sure!"
"We gotta do something, Moonie!" Sun throws his own hands up.
"Like what? Stroll up and say, 'hey Starlight, heard you talking to that weird kid, Shen. Did he ask you on a date?'" Moon snips sarcastically. He then thinks and voices his thoughts to his brother. "Actually, how lame is it to ask someone out on a date to their own workplace? Going for coffee? Sure, but not where you work! It has to be some misunderstanding."
Sun pouts and narrows his eyes, hearing in Moon's voice the desperation of trying to convince himself of that thought. "And if it isn't?" Sun sasses, glaring.
Moon groans, rubbing his face; these emotions running him ragged. Jealously, envy, ('Are those the same?') sadness and anger all at once isn't doing him wonders. "We'll just figure out what it was about. You know, be honest. Like she wants. No going behind her back like writing Chica those notes..." Moon shivers at the thought of Codie's face when she was upset with them for that.
"Right! And in the meantime, we can get in some quality snuggles! I'm going to set up a fort for a sleepover! She's bound to be tired after work! She won't be able to resist!" Moon chuckles at Sun's enthusiasm. Though he, himself, can't help but want the intimacy of snuggles, too.
Lately, it's all he's been wanting. Some sort of physical contact, just like Sunny, but more... intimate? He's unsure what to call it, but he likes having his hand rest on her stomach, head, or arms. So far, she hasn't expressed discomfort or dislike with such contact, so he's calling it a win.
Sunny loves playing with her hair. Don't get him wrong, Moon does, too, but Moon likes the feeling of her skin more. Sun will play with her fiery locks all night if he could. Hand holding is something both would like to do more often, but they never really get the chance to do so and Codie may think it weird to just up and hold her hand out of the blue. The term platonic comes to Moon's mind.
But Moon, and his brother, want to be something more than platonic. They just don't know how she feels about them, yet. And now with this Shen person in her friend circle, they aren't sure how to go about it.
He'll think on things while he starts dinner.
~~~~~~~~~

When Codie walks into her home, she wants nothing more than to fill her empty stomach and sleep for six years. No, seven. She flops down onto the couch, not bothering to take off her shoes or put her bag on her bed.

"Tired, Stardrop?" Moon calls over with a fond smirk, stirring something in a pan. He gets a moan in response and he chuckles. Codie's stomach grumbles loudly, sounding as if a small monster was trying to break out.

Codie sits up, finally smelling what her lunar roommate is cooking and immediately starts to salivate at it. "What is that amazing smell, Moonlight!?" she asks him, not even registering the new nickname she calls him. Moon averts his eyes, loving the way the name rolled off her tongue.

"Stir fry," he answers simply, continuing to stir. Codie comes up behind him and takes a deep breath. "Ahhh, it looks so good! I'm pulling out the soda for such an amazing dinner occasion!" Moon rolls his eyes with a smile.

Sun had limited Codie's soda intake when it was causing her to stay up at night. He even swore on Fazbear's toes that it causes an influx of nightmares, but Moon isn't sure he can believe that. Codie excitedly cracks open an ice cold Pepsi.

As soon as the sizzle dies down, the two could hear a gasp from down the hall and then the immediate barreling of heavy footsteps. "Uh-oh! I heard soda!" Sun called out, rounding the corner. His eyes zero in and scan the Pepsi can before scanning Codie's sheepish face.

Before he could scold her, and Moon's quiet laughter, Codie puts on her best puppy-dog eyes. (She learned from the best! Which is saying something considering the best doesn't even have pupils!)

"Oh, please Sunny! I've had a long day and it'd go great with Moonie's stir fry! Plus! I already opened it!" She knows Sun could just down it as to not be wasteful, but she's hopeful in persuading the sunny boy.

"Okay, okay! I can't say no to such a lovely face!" Sun gives in, pinching her cheek. He mentally pats himself on the back when said cheeks become rosy in color. "Besides, we'll be up a tad later than usual, right Moonie?" His brother nods.

"If she agrees," he points out. Sun hides a pout.

"Why wouldn't she?!"

"Agrees to what?" Codie tilts her head.

"A sleepover tonight! You've been working hard and we thought we could finish those Shrek movies and have lots of fun!" Sun cheers.

'Aw man...' Codie cringes. She did just want to come home, eat, and then sleep. But... "Well, alright. At least I don't have to get up for work in the morning. But!" She stops the bot from celebrating too early, "Don't be upset if I happen to fall asleep early okay? I'm exhausted!"

Sun flaps his hands. "Deal! Yay!"

"Okay, now would you two move? Hot pan here!" Moon drawls, emphasizing the pan of hot food. The two quickly scurry out of his way as he goes about dishing up the plates at the counter.

"Oh! Almost forgot. Speaking of work tomorrow..."

Both bots immediately froze, bracing for what Codie had to say next. She wonders why the boys became so serious all of a sudden, leaning in as if to better hear her, as if their hearing wasn't already superior.

Feeling a little self-conscious, Codie fidgets a bit, "Um, well Shen needs someone to cover for him Friday night. But he closes that day, so tomorrow I'm going into work to learn how to close so I can cover his shift."

"That's it!?" Moon erupts in his head, accidentally pinging it to Sun.

"We were worried for nothing! What joy! I'm so happy!" Sun keeps his happy dance to a minimum as to not clue Codie in on why he's so happy.

"No worries, Sunshine!" Sun quickly brushes it off, not wanting to talk about Shen any longer. "For now, let's eat and then have lots of fun!" He scoots her towards the table. She laughs, thinking nothing of it, and sits down, tummy rumbling again.

"Awesome! I'm starved!" Moon smiles at her, setting down a bowl in front of her. She immediately digs in. "Ahhh, hot! But so good, Moonie!"

"I agree!" Sun nods, cheeks full. "Very delicious, Moon! And salty!"

Moon uses his fork to point at Sun's bowl, deadpanning. "Sun, I watched you pour an abundance of soy sauce, that's probably why it's salty."

"Well-!" He huffs, "I read online it's what you do for this kind of food!"

Across from them, the ginger giggles to herself behind her hand, loving to watch the boys banter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fort is assembled by the time Codie gets her pajamas on and pops some popcorn. With the large bowl in hand, she gets down on her knees and crawls into the fortress. The same fairy lights are set up and Sun and Moon are already inside, leaning against the back, waiting for her.
Sun excitedly plays the movie while Moon grabs a handful of popcorn, noting the lack of seasoning this time. Codie takes her spot right in the middle of the boys, her left side warm, her right side cool.
She snuggles down into the mass of pillows Moon always sets up and yawns. She shovels some popcorn into her mouth to keep her awake. She wants to at least get through one movie! "Okay, so I fell asleep last time, so let's actually finish it this time!" Codie puts her fist up with determination.
The bots nod in agreement, smiling.
Shrek the Third plays out and Codie gets up for the third time in forty five minutes to go to the bathroom. She groans on her way out. Sun and Moon watch her in concern but don't say anything. When she complained about going for the third time, the two scanned her but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
"Want us to pause it, Sunlight?" Sun asks from inside. Codie waves her hand even though the two wouldn't see her.
"Nah, keep it playing, I've seen it. I'll be right back."
Codie sighs when she steps onto the bathroom tiles, the cold feeling refreshing to her warm body. Who knew snuggling up to a couple of animatronics can warm you up so? Even Moon was getting on the toasty side, the heat going around too much for his cooler body to regulate.
Codie does her business, albeit a little painfully but she's going to ignore that for now, she washes up and heads back out. She yawns and crawls back inside the fort. The movie still has about a half hour to it and she's not sure she can make it at this rate.
Moon, because of course he does, notices how worn out their human is and places a comforting hand on her head as she settles back down. She looks up at him blearily. "Go to sleep, Star," he whispers.
"But..." she points to the movie, about to protest, when she yawns again. Sun tsks at her, dragging her up and onto his lap before she could have a say.
He starts petting her hair, causing her to become even drowsier than before. She's unable to keep her eyes open for a minute longer, swiftly drifting off to sleep without another word.
"Can we do this every night?" Sun practically whines, still playing with her hair. Although Moon loves this, he likes to think of himself as the more practical brother.
"Wouldn't be good for her sleep schedule." He looks down at her position.. "Or her back..." Sun follows his brother's gaze and realizes her back is bent awkwardly to lay her head in his lap. And while their puffy pants are the best pillows, this form she's taking can't be comfortable in the long run.
"O-oh..." He says, positioning her back to be in the middle of them so her body is more situated. He continues to play with her hair, though. The boys enjoy their time together as they finish the movie, loving it like the previous two.
"Is there more?" Moon wonders aloud, grabbing the remote to look around the streaming app.
"I believe there's a fourth one!" Sun answers in a whisper.
Moon finds himself on 'Solar Opposites'. "Wanna watch? Looks interesting..." He grins, flicking the remote. Sun smiles back. He and Moon haven't had too much time with each other lately, so a new show to watch together sounds great to him.
"Yes!" Sun agrees before reaching behind him and pulling out two plugs. He hands one to Moon and plugs the other into himself. "Better put these in before we shut off." Moon laughs and follows suit.
After doing so, the two jesters lie down and get comfortable, snuggled up right next to their beloved human. Sun occupies his hand by playing with Codie's unruly hair, while Moon rests a hand on her chest, loving the way it moves up and down when she breathes.
They'll tell her their true feelings sooner or later.
But for now, they'll enjoy these moments one at a time.
