"hey, hobi hyung! guess who got himself a girlfriend!"

hoseok groaned in irritation as he hears the familiar lively voice of his roommate blaring from the door of their shared apartment.

"seriously, jimin! you've said that to me thrice in the past two months!" he took a bite from his cold hamburger as jimin plops himself next to him on the couch.

jimin pouted. "i swear, hyung! i really think she's already the one for me. she's kind, very pretty and---"

"again, jimin. you've said that. thrice."

he rolled his eyes. "at least i don't spend my time only on dancing and watching movies at home all day then rants to his bestfriend how frustrated he is for not finding a girlfriend."

hoseok glared at him. "hey!"

jimin laughed at the annoyed look on hoseok's face. "why? it's true tho!" hoseok sighed and took another bite from his hamburger.

"why don't you go on a date, hyung?" jimin curiously asked.

hoseok stared at the bland movie playing on the tv. "nah."

"but why? you've been single for the past 6 years."

"i'm too lazy to do that, jimin."

"then try a dating app!" jimin excitedly pulled out his phone from his pocket. "i met maxene through this app."

"maxene who?"

"my new girlfriend." he showed a picture of a girl to hoseok.

"she's pretty."

jimin sighed dreamily. "yeah, she is."

"but are you sure that's her real face? she's not a poser or anything?" hoseok frowned at the thought.

"of course not! here." he then showed a picture of him with the girl. "we actually went out on a date today. she was nicer in person!"

his eyebrows raised in approval. "hmm, okay then."

not bad, huh. might as well give it a try.

hoseok has been staring on the bright green 'install' button on his phone for a good few minutes. he was anticipating to try it a few moments ago but now he's hesitating.

what if i meet a fake person? what if they're nice in the app but is actually a bitch in person? what if no one's interested in me?

hoseok deeply sighed and tapped on the 'install' button. he nibbled on his nails as the app downloads and installs.

a few moments later, he finally opened the app and he was immediately asked for his information and a photo.

hoseok's heart dropped.

for some reason, he didn't want to use his own face for the photo. his self-confidence was way below the gutter.

he opened a different app and searched for jimin's profile.
