Do I have to follow the host?
Yes. Do I have to read the host's stories before participating?
Absolutely not, unless you are personally interested.

Do I have to vote in every chapter?
No, it's not required, but it can help boost the contest.

Will there be prizes?
Yes! Please check the prizing chapter for details.

How many stories can each author submit?
Each author is entitled to submit two stories, but they must be in different genres.

Can I submit a story on behalf of my favorite author?
No, but you are welcome to tag them so they can enter themselves.

Story Requirements

Are ongoing stories allowed?
Yes, provided they start with at least 5 chapters and reach 20 chapters before the third round.

What happens if I can't meet the required chapters before round 3?
We understand it isn't always easy, but this will result in automatic disqualification.

Does my story have to be in English?
Yes. We highly value other languages, but the judge only fully understands English. However, your story can include mild phrases in other languages, as long as you provide translations.

Are mature stories accepted?
Yes, mature stories are accepted, but please indicate this clearly. Do not submit stories that are 70-100% smut.

Genres & Categories

Are LGBTQ stories allowed? Why isn't there a separate genre for them?
Yes, LGBTQ stories are allowed. I didn't create a separate genre because LGBTQIA themes can fall under any genre (e.g., romance, vampire, thriller).

Why is there no fan fiction category?
Different fandoms require different judges. For fairness, there will not be a fan fiction category.

Can I submit my fan fiction in other genres?
Yes, if it is rewritten with a mix of your originality and fits the chosen genre.
No, if it's still 70-100% fan fiction.

What about special categories? Can I nominate my book for "Best Protagonist," etc.?
Unfortunately, no. This time, there won't be special categories.
